Chapter 15: Ruby Rose (1)

Chapter 15: Ruby Rose (1)

~Jack POV~

"Ahh…"

Feeling that my body is sore all over I began to physically train myself as best I physically could with my situation and using my <Meditation> skill only helps me out more in that regard soothing my muscles.

That also clears my mind.

Plus, I got some decent with my body.

Also, I finally decided to do something about the spare stats I have all 38 of them as I begin to evenly pile on some, I need but also on some I need most.

STR is the key factor here.

Status.

---

Good.

My hard work doing the Daily Quest is starting to show stat-wise for doing some workouts late at night and with my meditation skill.

After thinking about some careful consideration, I think I know what path to go to get some level-ups faster.

That is by entering Beacon and following the MCs as they have so much trouble that so many quests will open up for me to get stronger fast.

That and hopefully increase my stats in each category.

But most importantly right now…

[Ding!]

[<Aura> LEVEL UP!]

[You're Semblance has been unlocked!]

[Skill <Fusion> has been added!]

The heck?

My semblance is <Fusion>?

Blinking in real surprise I'm not quite sure how to react to this exactly but…

I could check it out before judging it.

Sweet!

Now then hopefully my semblance would be really useful because I'm seriously in need of something good here.

Now then…

Skill list.

<Fusion>.

----

<Fusion> (Active) Lv. 1/100 Exp.: 0/100%

AP Cost: Through special quest.

Description: By completing special quests, you can copy other skills and store them in your soul. Stored skills can be combined to create more advanced skills. However, if the difficulty of the condition for copying a skill is too great, some conditions may be modified.

-The Higher the level of the semblance the copying condition will become easier.

----

Raising an eyebrow at this so basically, I can fuse my skills together or take skills from other people so long as I can complete the quest in the question of said person.

Not going to lie though that sounds like a really busted but balanced game mechanic for me to have.

Smirking at this skill… could really be fun.

But for now, I should refocus my attention elsewhere.

For now, I need to get to work on attending Beacon in two ways one would be to help Ruby Rose and convince Ozpin to let me join as he has with Jaune Arc or… I steal the fake transcripts from Jaune Arc.

Hmm….

Thinking about I should probably begin to do so.

With my <Observe> skill on a high level to me at least it should be a simple enough job.

Time to go searching around the area.

[The Quest is created.]

----

Quest: Ruby Rose

Description: The first episode of RWBY is beginning THE GAMER needs to be prepared.

Objective: Be able to assist Ruby Rose and help her fight Roman Torchwick Crew.

Rewards: 1000 Lien, possible chance to join Beacon, and 150 Exp.

Failure: Disappointment and being placed inside a hospital.

[Accept: Y] or [Deny: N]

----

Oh…

So that's happening this soon?

And considering what kind of enemies I will be making…

Fuck it.

I know I will be at a level disadvantage but that doesn't mean jack shit at times.

The reason why is because of motherfucking Sans the Skeleton being level fucking 1.

Most would at first think oh yeah, he was easy and weak…

Well surprised bitch when Sans started to go hard mode on them in Undertale… I still have traumas of how much bullshit a level one character can do.

So, I should take the high levels of people with a grain of salt as while it defines their, danger level they don't define their real strength level.

Welp likes no time as the present as I accepted the mission by pressing the [Accept: Y] icon on the window and beginning to survive this crazy world.

Maybe I should form a party with her first so I can get some free Exp on the side.

I mean the Party System was invented for a goddamn reason why not use it?

Plenty of Gamer fics I read in the past have them just never really use them because they fear that… actually they never did have a good reason?

Didn't they know it's not a one-player game?

Sigh…

Sighing out loud I began to pack up as I get ready to handle the day with my fist as I don't have enough to pay for a weapon.

/////

Since I knew where the event was taking place it made it that much easier for me to locate where the store would be located from seeing it finding it is another story altogether.

From Dust till Dawn.

That was what I remembered from the show saying so I began my day to search for it.

Using <Observe> made it easier to level it up faster to find the place I wanted to find.

Huh?

No shit he here?

Using my <Observe> skill I began to look around to find where the store was but instead, I found this guy here.

[Jaune Arc – Lv.11 Wannabe Hero]

[Jaune Arc is known that he comes from a lineage of Huntsmen and mentions that his great-great-grandfather, from whom he inherited Crocea Mors, fought in the Great War. He also mentions that he grew up with seven sisters. He tries to enter Beacon by using fake Transcripts.]

Oh…

If I remember correctly his family doesn't know where he is right now.

I guess I must have caught him off here.

[The Quest is created]

Oh, and a nice bonus one as well huh?

----

Quest: Call for Home

Description: A sudden cliché Jaune Arc has appeared and intends to enter Beacon illegally as a good citizen you must do the basic thing to stop him. Call his parents.

Objective: Call the Arc Family to retain Jaune Arc using his Scroll.

Rewards: 200 Lien, and 50 Exp.

Failure: Nothing but a failure of a good citizen.

[Accept: Y] or [Deny: N]

----

Worth it.

Pressing the [Accept: Y] icon I began to use my <Sneak> skill to stalk Jaune as the people seem to have ignored me as I casually get close to Jaune Arc a thought occurred to me?

Why not use my new skill?

<Fusion>.

[Ding!]

[-Fusion Conditions-

Description: Jaune Arc the boy who wants to be a Huntsman lives with his family but never trained in his life and is attempting to attend Beacon with no prior training or aura. Merely defeat him once.]

Blink.

Ok.

Sounds simple enough.

Once I was behind Jaune with no one looking I began to take my moment to knock him out with no one nearby as I silently knocked him out.

*Swoosh*

*Bam*

Knocking the kid out I began to see that I already completed what I intended from my <Fusion> skill.

[Ding!]

[-You have met the conditions-]

[-Which skill would you like to copy from Jaune Arc-

-Sword Mastery Lv.1

-Shield Master Lv.1

-Aura Amp Lv.1

-Light Armor Mastery Lv.1

…]

So, this is how my semblance works huh?

Smirking at this I agreed to it as I immediately took the <Aura Amp> skill since I needed it way more.

[Ding!]

[You have successfully copied the skill <Aura Amp>!]

Skill list.

<Aura Amp>.

----

<Aura Amp> (Active/Passive) Lv.1/100 Exp: 0.0%

AP Cost: AP regen is disabled until it's deactivated by the user and drains the user to be active for 10 AP/Min.

Description: The user passively increases the power of Aura-related attacks, recovery rate, defenses, transferring, transportation, control/manipulation, and healing.

-Passively increases STR, AGI, VIT, WIS, and INT passively by 5%.

-Actively increases STR, AGI, VIT, WIS, and INT actively by 10%

----

Hmm…

Not bad.

Once I felt inside his pockets I began to take his scroll as I began to get away from Jaune and go to a secluded area I pop up the Scroll I got from him.

Now then opening it up I see his contacts as I see some numerous text messages of his family worrying about him as this makes me frown.

He has a loving family that is worrying about him and he goes off the chance he might die making them further worry about their only son dying against Grimm or other humanoid enemies.

This bastard…

Most people will kill to have this amount of loving family caring about them.

I mean I know I miss my folks being sent here…

You know what I'm a very pity person and if it means I can make myself better as this asshole isn't appreciating family as much.

*Click*

Time to bring down the storm of tough love.

"Hello is this the owner of the Scroll?"

"Hey you aren't my Jaune and where is my baby boy!?!"

Oh, the mother…

This won't end well for good old Jaune but…

Called it.

Smirking at this I began to reply to the person from the other side of the Scroll as I began to explain how I found Jaune Scroll on the street in the Vale Kingdom the voice changes to his father as it seems to want to thank me for helping find his son location.

*Shiver*

[<Detect Bloodlust> LEVEL UP!]

And the voice went full-on angry and promised of pain when he gets his hand on Jaune as I literally felt the shiver run down my spine.

Man…

Family tough love is going to be very difficult as I gave the Arc head my name hoping it will be great for me to gain favor with the Arc family.

I mean they hailed from being Hunters for a family generation so having a great historical family like them owing a favor would come in handy in the future.

Although now that I have a Scroll, for the time being, I better keep it with me till I return it or turn it over to the police station in Vale.

[Quest Completed!]

[200 Lien]

[You gain 50 Exp]

Hell yeah!

Not wasting any time I began to get going as I had already done what I needed from this event.

Oh, this will be really busted once I max that out.

No magic I'm cool with now I just need to max out my everything.

Although the cost is something, I can work off on but what can I do about it?

EXP points are what matters.

Shaking my head I began to return to the original objective I needed to take care of.
