Chapter 3

Amir smiles at the paper in front of him. The paper in front of him looked like normal paperwork about starting a business, but it was not. It was a fake document that he made using his 'Deal with a Devil' power and covered the real content using his 'Blurry Reflection' power.

The real content is about how Amir will hire both of them, and in turn, they need to pay him five hundred billion Lien in a matter of five seconds. If they cannot fulfill their end of a deal, they will become his loyal slave.

They cannot disobey him, and they cannot tell others about his secret, etc.

Basically, they become his absolute loyal servants that follow his every order. They still have their previous minds and behavior, but their minds are already modified to think of Amir as their absolute ruler, and all his orders are like the gospel coming from god.

Amir snaps from his thoughts when the door is opened up, and he can see three people coming inside the room. Hiwa is the first one to get inside, followed by Lizard Faunus and Goat Faunus.

"Amir, these two are the people I am talking about." Hiwa looks at the two Faunus and says, "Please introduce yourself to him"

The first one is the Goat Faunus.

"My name is Haru. It is nice to meet you, sir."

"Um… M-My name is Aki. Nice to meet you, sir."

Hiwa nods his head and says,

"Alright, Amir, I will leave these two in your care."

After saying that, he got out of the office and shut the door, leaving Amir and the two Faunus. Amir looked at the two of them for a second before saying.

"Alright, the name is Amarillo Stella, but I want you guys to call me Amir if we are being informal. I am giving you an interview because I want to make a fishing industry that hopefully grows into a bigger one. I'm only a fisherman who has permission to sell his goods in Vale, for now. Anyway, the first thing I want you to do is to tell me a little about yourself. Haru, you go first."

The Goat Faunus nods his head and says.

"My name is Haru Tsukiya. I was born in the Kingdom of Mistral but decided to move to Vale when my parents couldn't find any job there. I once had three jobs in the fishing industry, but two were storage couriers that took the crate from ship to the warehouse. The other one is a fishing job."

"Good. Aki, you are next."

The lizard girl nods her head nervously, but after taking a deep breath for a second, she looks a little bit calmer.

"M-My name is Aki Tome. While I was born in Vale, my parents are from Mistral hence the name. I only work for two companies, and only one of them is in the fishing industry. I once worked in the other warehouse as an accountant and then worked for the other warehouse like the one that sorted the fish."

Amir nods his head and decides to end this formality.

"Good. Truthfully, this interview is only a formality. When Hiwa said that you two are trustworthy, I already put your name as my employee."

When Amir says that, Haru releases a relief breath while Aki looks as if she has won a lottery. Amir smiles a little when he sees them so eager. That only leaves him with one more thing to do.

"Here. This is the paperwork needed to acknowledge you as my first employee."

Amir gives them two papers. The first one is the real one, and the other is the contract he created using his power.

"I need to ask the government for permission to sell our fish to a high-end restaurant. Lucky for us, my father is a well-connected man. You can read it as much as you want, and after you are done with that, you need to sign the paper. Both of them."

Haru and Aki read the paper in front of them slowly, and after a couple of minutes, they nod their head and sign both papers. Five seconds after signing the contract, Amir can see something change inside his two minions. Their eyes feel empty for a few seconds before it goes back to normal. However, he can see the difference. When their eyes land on Amir, they immediately kneel in front of him.

"Hail, Lord Amir"

Amir can only smile. Sadly, his smile gets interrupted by the system.

Amir looks at his new power in awe. This is the last part that he really needs. He is really afraid of other gangs attacking them when they try to expand their business, but with this, Amir knows how to defend themselves.

"Haru, Aki. Let's get out of here. We have a business to start"

"Yes!"

"Also, call me Amir or Boss."

Seeing them nodding their heads, Amir walks out of the office, followed by Haru and Aki. When Hiwa sees them get out of the office, he smiles a little and says,

"Amir! How is it?"

"They are hired. Here is the paperwork needed for my permission."

"Ah, let's see. Hmmm, that is all. I know some restaurants that are willing to buy a specific fish. If you catch them, I will send the list to you later. When you get the fish on the list, tell me about it. I will be the middleman for a while so you can get your connection."

"How much? The middleman cost."

"Five percent should do. You are one of ours now. We all take care of our own kind."

"Thank you, Hiwa. Truly, thank you."

"Think nothing of it."

After saying goodbye to Hiwa, Amir looks at Haru and Aki and says,

"Haru, Aki. Do you need to get back home first or can you come with me? I need to tell my father about you guys."

After thinking about it for a second, Haru and Aki release a disappointed sigh and say,

"Sadly, I cannot come with you, boss. I only said that I came here to do an interview. I don't want to make my family worry."

"The same with me, boss. I can't come with you and not make my parents suspicious."

"I see. Then, here."

Amir gives them both five hundred Lien each and says,

"Take this money and use it to buy a ticket to Vulur village. When you arrive there, call me."

After seeing them nodding his head, Amir gets back to the airport and catches some bullhead to his village.

~Three months later~

Thomas Hakos looked at the report with a frown on his face. The paper in front of him is telling him that a new kind of drug has started to spread inside the walls of Vale. However, unlike a usual kind of drug that makes people REALLY addicted to the drug, this one is more subtle.

If not for the sample that his underling took from one of the dealers, he would not know about this drug. The lab has already given him the result. This drug is more unique than common drugs. It has a different effect depending on how much pill the individual consumes.

One pill you will increase someone's confidence, two pills and you will experience a powerful euphoria, and lastly, if someone consumes three pills, they will have a pleasant sleep filled with beautiful dreams and wake up refreshed.

If not for its addictive nature, this drug would be legal. When someone consumes this pill, they will be addicted to this drug. At first, it was like addicted to a cigarette, you crave it when you have not smoked for a long time, but you can hold it down. It slowly but surely starts getting stronger and stronger.

What makes Thomas frustrated is that this drug is not really dangerous. Someone CAN fight the addiction if they try hard enough. There is already a case of a man getting out of rehab in a matter of a month before the police place him back into the rehab once more when they encounter him high as a kite.

When interviewed, this man said that he went to rehab because he wanted to taste the drugs for the first time once again as the first time is the best experience.

What makes Thomas even more frustrated is that he did not have any lead to this group of people that spread the drugs. Every single drug dealer that sells this drug will always be found dead in their cell when they are willing to tell the police the name of the individual or the group that makes this drug.

All of the lab results say that all of those people died from a heart attack. Thomas already put the use of Semblance in the list of methods used by this mysterious individual or group.

Thomas takes a deep breath and looks at his underling before saying.

"Sent three dozen police to the area outside the wall. I also want some undercover personnel placed around the area. I want their name."
