Thoughts that Consume you

Logan had just left his second class ever he taught: Bush-craft survival and Stealth. Though the concept was simple to understand, a lot of it was extremely difficult to master. Logan spent most of the time explaining everything. Even then some, if not most, had trouble understanding the class. He had hoped his little stunt had gain their attention enough to make the class interesting.

~Flashback start~

Logan had left a sign at where the class was gonna meet. The sign stated that they had to spot him and couldn't go pass the sign to do so. While almost all the class couldn't find him, Jaune somehow spotted him easily after ten minutes and never said anything due to his timid nature. When 30 minutes passed, Logan sat up. Ten feet from their left and laying on the ground of the forest. Covered in grass turf he cut up and dug down to hid in with stone and leaves scattered around to make it look natural. His face covered in camouflage paint.

Logan had made the class about survival in known and unknown areas; and as well as how to hide in enemy territory. Being able to gather information while being ten, if not, five feet away from someone with them never knowing. A vital skill should they take on any information gathering missions. Logan also warned them that some of them maybe more suited for this, while others are better at noticing those who are in hiding; like Jaune did.

Logan went over the simple steps and options; mainly camouflage and hiding behind objects. Then he taught them how to spot those in hiding. After the first two lessons, Logan went over more advanced aspects before ending the class almost two hours later.

~Flashback end~

Logan just sighed and scratch his head as he made his way to the campus garage the school had for the staff and the few students that had vehicles. Passing by chattering students and teams as he went. Logan himself kept his bike there as even he enjoyed the difference between flying and riding. While for Logan, flying was more freeing and uplifting; and riding felt calming, relaxing, and helpful. A perfect way to think or clear ones mind.

Getting to the garage, Logan saw as some students were gathered around their vehicles chatting, working on them, or just plain out bragging about them. Logan just shook his head as he saw them. Logan then made his way towards the second level stairs which leads to where all the staff kept their vehicles, though most just used the shuttles that come and go from the school, there are a few who keep one.

Upon entering the second level landing, Logan was greeted by a metal door with a scanner set into the wall next to it. This was so that non-staff members, a.k.a students, couldn't mess with them. Logan took his scroll out and swiped it as the red light on the scanner turned green. Stepping through the door, Logan was greeted by the sight of large rectangle pods that could store most vehicles. Logan just walked to his pod that bore his name on a plaque in front of it, then swiped his scroll once again over another scanner.

The pod opened to revel his bike, a BMW R75 in dull olive green with a sidecar attached to its side. Logan, not wanting to deal with it, he took it as is. The engine roared to life as Logan pulled it out of the pod grabbing his helmet on the way out. Driving it over to the gated ramp, Logan once again swiped his scroll to open the gate and drive down. By the time Logan hit the bottom of the ramp, the gate was already closed.

As Logan rode out, several students sneered or pointed and laughed at Logan's bike. Logan didn't pay them no mind as he revved his bike and drifted out of the garage, kicking up dust and dirt as he sped down the school's street to where a freight elevator led to Vale's street. Logan sped up, going as fast as he could; almost reaching 80 mph. Closing in on the elevator, Logan made a ramp with his ash. Jumping up over it with a few staff member's moving items for the off and a few students that were tasked to help them, plummeting to the ground below. Scaring those he jumped over as they watched it happen.

Forming a parachute from ash and wrapping some around him and his bike, Logan floated down softly. Cutting the chute a few feet from the ground, Logan landed and took off down the rode heading nowhere. While he rode, Logan thought back to what he learned after he returned from his mission. All that happened in six days, six day simple days.

First was that Roman Torchwick somehow escaped with the help of an warden at the prison he was kept in. While Roman was kept in a maximum security cell, the warden opened all the locks and walked out the front door. That was after they broke into the Prisoner's item storage to retrieve his clothes, hat, and cigars. The only bright side was that his cane was kept separately from his things in police lockup. The down side was that his robberies are back in motion.

Second was that a new Faunus terrorist group was formed after the old 'White Fang Terrorist Group' broke up. So far they haven't named themselves, but they have been active. Several SDC warehouses were robbed thoroughly and cleaned out, not a trace of the dust could be tracked. While SDC was already under fire for almost all of their labor camps that held both humans and Faunus being outed, they lost close to a billion lien with all the dust that was stolen so far. The only clue so far was a black, bear paw print with two grey swords crossed behind on a broken white moon.

Third, several ships have disappeared, though they were owned by criminal organizations, and no on has an idea as to where they have gone. Several divers and Hunters that could handle fighting under water have searched their last known locations and found nothing. The prevailing theory is that a Grimm was the cause but so far there have been no remains, of ship or person, found.

Fourth, there are reports of legendary Grimm, Grimm Titans. Grimm thought only to be just that, legends. So far, only a few have been confirmed. Moby Grimm, a massive aquatic Grimm wale with the length of one hundred feet long and 20 feet wide. Next was the Titanboa, whose only traces was a deep rut in the ground that was eight feet deep and width of twenty feet, roars heard by lower Mistral residents, and a Bullhead sighting of a massive dust cloud in the distance. And the last sighting was the Mountain. A Grimm Geist that managed to posses a literal mountain was seen walking around the coldest regions of Atlas.

And speaking of Atlas, they were the fifth thing to pop up. Apparently someone recorded Logan's lesson from before and uploaded it. Atlas has been hounding Logan to come over and train their soldiers in what he knows. So far Ozpin had given Logan a hand and denied them on his behalf. But Logan still has had several offers sent to him even with Ozpin's help. And it got out that Logan had gotten requests from Atlas, a good portion of his students have been asking him if he was gonna leave.

Sixth was the most annoying for Logan. The Beacon Dance was coming up and Logan has been non-stop getting requests from people to go with them, have a lesson to help those with two left feet to learn how to dance, or if he's gonna help with it in any way. Some even asked if he was gonna preform at the dance! Logan's plan was to hide out from the dance and try to catch Cinder if she shows up, he even got a mission for it.

Mission: Dance Baby, Dance!

Something is gonna happen at the dance. Make sure that the dance is gonna be remembered as the best there was!

Reward: Based on the crowds reaction (To be determined)

Logan just sighed again as he continued to ride without a destination in mind. His mind wondering from one problem to another. Wondering if he was strong enough to handle what's to come. Shaking his head, Logan roared as he pulled a wheelie and rode it down the road faster then before.

By the time Logan finally stopped, he found himself at Vale's pier. Rather, the docking portion where passenger ships come and go throughout the day and night. Usually there was numerous people coming and going from around the area, but today seemed to be a heavy lull in traffic as there was only a single ship entering into port.

Logan shook his head as he went to turn around, only to be attacked by a red blur. Logan, being out of it, reacted like anyone who went through hell. Logan rolled backwards off his bike with the attacker before throwing them over his head into the ground hard. Back rolling on top of them, Logan drew a combat knife and was ready to stab down only of find a scared Ruby in a surprised cat-like pose. Looking up, Logan found the rest of team RWBY just looking at him.

Logan: "Sorry." Logan mumbled as he helped Ruby up. "I've had a lot on my mind lately."

Weiss: "We've noticed." Weiss said as she rolled her eyes.

Blake: "Why are you here? And what's with the bike?" Blake asked as she watched Yang rush over and hop onto Logan's bike, not before Logan swiped the keys off it.

Yang: "Aww~ Come on!" Yang pouted but was ignored by Logan.

Logan: "I was out riding to clear my head with no clear place in mind. And the bike is an old war bike I found in a junkyard and worked on. What you see now is the result of my hard work." Logan explained. "It was a lucky find, I did come up with a blueprint that used one as a base."

Blake: "Not really your color." Blake commented.

Logan: "Eh." Logan just shrugged it off. "What are you girls doing here?" Logan asked as he moved his hand as yang tried to snatch the key.

Ruby: "Weiss wanted to scout the competition for the Vital festival." Ruby said and outed Weiss.

Weiss: "Hey!" Weiss shouted before collecting herself. "Well, as we are a part of Beacon's future graduating Huntresses, I thought it would show character that we be kind and show them around."

Logan: "Weiss." Logan said as he gave her a thousand yard star. "You do realize that most of them would travel by Bullhead, right?" The look on her face as she realized it nearly made Logan giggle. "And besides, any that would come by ship would be any Faunus from the teams as there still are people and company that deny them." Yang tried to swipe the key again while Logan talked. Yang, I'm not gonna let to drive it again. The last time I did, you wreaked it and never told me."

Yang: "Oh come on! I've gotten better since then!" Yang argued back.

Logan: "No means no." Logan said, cutting off any further argument.

As Logan talked with them, his scroll dinged. Pulling it out, Logan saw a message from Glynda asking him to find a girl. The daughter of Doctor Pietro Polendina, Penny Polendina, and bring her to the school. The girl's 'team' is already looking for her, as she wondered off without them knowing.

Logan: "I gotta go." Logan said as he walked back to his bike and removing Yang. "Professor Goodwitch just asked me to pickup an Atlas student who got lost. Her team is already looking for her, and I'm suppose to bring her back if I find her." Logan said as he sat on his bike and started it up, the engine roaring to life caught Weiss and Blake off guard from how loud it was. "See ya!" Logan shouted over the engine as he took off.
