Unnecessary outburst

"stop saying nonsense"

"there are no nonsense and you know it. Or will you tell me that you don't feel this?" he asked with husky voice. "this feeling.." he pressed her against him and he watched small pinkish colors appear on her cheeks. Good, it meant he had effect on her. "that you are meant to be, because I feel that you fit just right in my arms" she was looking at him stiffly. He wanted to laugh at her reaction. "breathe babe" he whispered and she released a shaky breath.

"let… let go" she whispered.

"you sure?" he whispered back, his face inching closer to hers.

"let… go" she said again with a shaky voice.

"are you sure?" he asked again, his lips brushing against hers, their eyes slowly closing with the contact.

"tell me… speak Dahlia. Do you want me to let go? Talk t-" a sudden inopportune knock stopped them. Dahlia immediately pulled away from him and crossed her arms. Eder's hands and head fell forward. He was highly displeased at the lost of her warmth and he wanted to wring the neck of the person behind that door.

"come in" Dahlia said with her usual strict voice. How could she do that? He wondered. Patricia walked in.

"Excuse me, Miss Freya is here and she is looking for you" Patricia announced looking between them both. She could feel the electric tension in the air and it was not the type that brought a fight. Though she kept her expression neutral.

"I am coming" Dahlia said.

"hum.. not you Ms Quinn rather Mr Galann" Patricia said. Dahlia looked at Eder but he did not react.

"okay" Dahlia said and Patricia left immediately.

When they were alone, Eder raised his head and looked at her.

"I will go now" she said and started to walk out but he caught her wrist. She looked back at him but then the door opened and Freya walked in. Eder was obliged to let go.

"hey" she said happily walking in the office but when she saw Dahlia she paused. "Dahlia? What are you doing here?" she asked. Dahlia gave her a weird look.

"I work here, silly" Dahlia said and walked out of the office. Freya laughed feeling stupid.

"yeah, right. She works here" she mumbled to herself. Then she turned towards Eder, "why do you look like this?" she asked him innocently. "did my sister scold you or something?" she asked. Eder wanted to laugh. If only she knew.

"what do I owe this visit to?" he asked instead.

"I came to take you out since you are too busy for me recently." she said happily. Eder felt a headache coming.

"listen Freya.."

"you won't tell me no, will you?" she pouted.

"I am sorry. I really have much to do." she frowned. "maybe a next time"

"okay" she said and then forced a smile, "bye then" she said.

"see you" he said. Then she left and he sighed. A short while after she was gone, Dahlia barged in the office.

"why did you turn down her invitation?" why did she seem so... angry? Somehow the angry Dahlia also had effect on him.

"why wouldn't I?" he shrugged.

"you made her sad"

"so? Life is not always about happy things" he shrugged again. Dahlia narrowed her eyes menacingly at him but he was unfazed.

"you will go and tell her that you have changed your mind now"

"else?"

"you will regret it" she said with finality and walked away. However, he was standing in front of her the next minute giving her a squinted gaze.

"I am looking forward to it" he said huskily.

"get away" she ordered.

"stop this Dahlia. You won't gain anything by pushing me to her."

"who said I was looking for something to gain?"

"you think you can make her happy by letting her have all that she wants, even if it was costing you much" she glared at him and that only made him think that he was right. "I am not going to play in your games" he said "unless…" his demeanor changed and he smirked "… I get something in exchange"

"what do you want?" she asked with narrowed eyes.

"you" he said simply. She glared at him.

"you are insane"

"you made me insane, Dahlia" he suddenly grabbed her by the waist, pushing her against the wall and speaking lowly with his deep voice. Oh no! Dahlia thought.

"stop" she said and he immediately released her, surprising her.

"okay," he said. "then console your sister" he said simply and walked over to his chair while Dahlia left the office feeling a bit annoyed.

Once outside his office, Dahlia drew in a deep breath. This was not necessary, why did she have to go back in to tell him that? why was she impulsive? she always thought before acting but now she was getting overwhelmed by all this surge of new disturbing feelings.

As she stood there thinking in the middle of the corridor, Patricia came to her. "Excuse me MS Quinn, there are these documents you have to sign" she said holding a few folders in her arms. Dahlia walked over to her office with Patricia in tow.

After, she was done with her work, Dahlia left. She did not want to risk meeting Eder. She reached the parking without meeting him but then she smelled him here and she heard a woman's sweet voice.

"you haven't called me for a long time, I thought you didn't want to hear from me again" she heard a woman's seductive voice but she didn't mind it she still kept walking towards her car.

"I have been really busy lately Anna, that's just it" then Eder replied. Dahlia then stopped when she heard his voice and gritted her teeth. Then she walked straight over to her car trying not to listen to their conversation but then she couldn't help it. their voices came to her ears.

"you work too much, come over I will make you a relaxing massage" subconsciously her hand clenched tightly around her bag. Why was her self control swaying? She was sure that she had the strongest mind ever but it seem it was different when it came to that man. Nothing goes as planned when he is involved. Damn it!

"a massage huh…? that's sounds nice." Eder replied.

"yeah, a good relaxing massage. Just as you like" Dahlia bit on her lower lip. She turned back and started to head towards their direction but after two steps she wondered what she was doing and she walked back to her car. She quickly climbed it and drove away before she made a mistake.
