She is busy

"I am not a prize to own" she said with a hard voice and removed her face from his grip. "I think I should leave now" she said standing up to leave. Eder panicked and quickly stood up to stop her. He grabbed her wrist to keep her from leaving.

"no,don't leave" Dahlia glared at his hand on her wrist which he released immediately to not make her angry. "please, I won't touch you again but please let's have dinner first and I will take you home" he pleaded. "please don't leave now" he whispered gently.

"I can't stay. I really have to go" she insisted with a bit of urgency. Eder sighed. He couldn't keep her against her will.

"fine, then let me take you back"

"no need for that." she started walking away. Eder couldn't understand why she hardened again all of a sudden. Was it because of what he said? Or was it because she felt something she didn't like?

"Wait you can't leave like this" he said chasing after her.

"I can and I will. What were you even expecting organizing all this? You and I can't be close. I want you as far away as possible from me. Understand that once and for all" she said and then walked away.

"it's not possible anymore baby, never" Eder muttered as he watched her leave.

Emmett was waiting for her outside the restaurant with her car. He didn't say anything and just opened the door for her. She climbed in and sighed once the door was closed, then she buried her face into her palms. Emmett climbed in but didn't start immediately.

"are you okay boss?" he asked.

"I will be better once they are out of my life" she said leaning her head back on the head rest.

"one can be ejected from your life with just a word from you but the other cannot" he said simply and started the car. Dahlia understood perfectly what he was trying to say but that was something she was trying to avoid.

A week passed…

Eder and Dahlia met sometimes at the oil company, during meetings or in the corridors. They would occasionally throw glances to each other. He would sometimes be flirty and playful frustrating Dahlia. Or he would just wink at her from afar, causing her to either shake her head at him or use all her will power not to smile at him. Dahlia didn't want to admit it but she liked his courting.

The week that followed, Dahlia did not show up at any meeting, nor company, which was weird. Eder did not mind maybe she was busy with one of her plot again. He did not care until the week that followed Freya showed up whenever their was a meeting. She was supposedly Dahlia's representative. She was the one taking care of it and it seems like she was taking care of the Quinn corp. also. What was wrong?

At first, Eder was surprised and he wondered if Freya could handle it. However, he was shocked to see that she could actually handle it quite well. She was authoritative and strict when it came to affairs. Completely different from the Freya he use to hang out with. Dahlia thought her well. No one would even know she was a 18 years old girl.

At the end of their meeting, Eder found Freya in her sister's office. She smiled when she saw him. They exchanged pleasantries for a while and Eder complimented her for the work she did. Then he came down to the main point which was bordering him.

"where is Dahlia?" he finally asked. Freya shifted uncomfortably in her seat. That was when he felt that their was something definitely wrong.

"she is busy with … something else" Freya answered. Eder had learned in the passed few weeks that Freya did not really know how to lie. But then what she said did not seem to be a lie, it was just a vague answer. It was the kind of answers Dahlia gave to elude the questions. Was Dahlia really busy with something else? What? Was she plotting something again? Then it might be something big if she had to send Freya here. Somehow, Eder did not find it right. Something was wrong here and he wanted to know what, before he got surprised again. "why?" Freya asked diverting the topic to stop him from asking further. "is their something important she needs to know?"

"we have to travel out soon for business. This company needs new collaborators and there are events we need to attend to reach the goal. So, I just needed to know if your sister will be coming or I will have to go alone?" he explained.

"I was told about it and Dahlia too. However, I don't know her answer yet. Maybe she will send me" Freya shrugged. The idea didn't really please Eder, he wanted to travel with Dahlia but he didn't show it on his face. "I will ask her when I get home"

"nice" Eder replied. "aren't you supposed to be in school?" he asked,

"well, I am Freya Quinn" she said it as if that was the ultimate excuse. And in her case it was. Eder just nodded,

"okay, I will take my leave" he bid her goodbye and left.

Freya got home and went straight to her sister's room. Dahlia was laying in her bed with her eyes closed but she was not sleeping. Her hair was pulled in a slightly messy bun and she looked pale. Freya sat near her on the bed.

"Dahlia" she called softly. Dahlia opened her eyes and looked at her sister. Her eyes were a few shades darker than usual. "what is happening to you?"

"I am fine Freya. This will pass" Dahlia said seating up.

"you really need to get a remedy" Freya said with a worried gaze.

"I don't need any remedy. Okay? So stop." Dahlia told her sister firmly "so what's new?" Freya pressed her lips into a thin line and then she pulled out a tablet from her bag, tapped a few things on it and gave her sister.

"this" she handed the tablet to her sister. "there is an important trip you have to make soon with your partner. It is to meet potential collaborators and it will be soon" Dahlia didn't say anything and just went through the report on the tablet.

"The event is for next two weeks" Dahlia mumbled.

"will you be going?" Freya was worried about Dahlia's health state. Dahlia was never sick and now she was somehow getting sick. She had no idea what was going on but on a strong person as Dahlia it was weird. Dahlia didn't reply immediately, she thought for a while, while reading the reports. Freya waited patiently for her sister to finish. Then Dahlia looked up at her sister.

"yes" she will go. She had to stay in touch with everything Eder was doing and monitor him closely. She still wanted to add the company to her empire and not share with Eder Galann. Or that was just her excuse.

"are you sure?"

"yes. I will go. I will be feeling better by then" Dahlia then returned her gaze to the tablet. Freya picked her bag and was about to leave. But she paused, she placed a hand on her sister's causing Dahlia to look up at her.

"take care of yourself" Freya said. She didn't want anything to happen to her sister. Dahlia nodded. Freya then left her alone.

Dahlia drew in a deep breath to relax. She dropped aside the tablet and laid back on her bed. She needed to get Eder Galann out of her life as soon as possible. He was the reason why she was in this state. His proximity to her was making her like this and it was not good. She could use her powers to compel him to leave but she already knew it wouldn't work. She had tried with a particular silver eyed and she knew it just doesn't work on them for whatever reason. Sigh…
