The way the young man had mentioned Yuri's name had her taken aback. A gasp almost escaped her throat but she was master of masking her emotions. The way he had called her name sent shivers through Yuri's body. The fact that he was there alone, the feeling in her chest and stomach -- dare say in her soul. Several emotions and questions bombarded Yuri as she stared in shock -- stared at the handsome familiar stranger standing in her chambers.
The confidence he'd used to mention her name, something that no one had ever called her besides her father -- no one dared to -- left her a little dismayed. Yuri stared in shock as her insides were not totally under her control. This person that she was looking at was something important to her -- that was the only conclusion that she'd come to in that brief instant.
