Jayz, Beyoncé -Part II

-

Oya looks at Jayke distraught that it was even him.

"Huh?" She said not hearing him well through the rain.

He unbuckles his seat belt and reaches over to the door opening it and signaling her with his hand to come in. Apprehensive she walks toward the car and sits inside.

"You smoke. Huh." He said in a calm way.

"Well ya." She said not knowing what exactly to say rather, she shook her hair to get the droppers off of him and scrunched them up with her hands.

"Alright, then I'll just drop you off since it's raining balls."

She turned towards him and said. "Ok stop, I'm weirded out why are you even talking to me all of a sudden but also helping me." She tilted her head in a menacing way.

"Well first off it's just a ride and second we have no beef I don't know why I can't." He starts driving. "Where do you live by the way."

"Richmond."

Silence covers the car.

"The hood." He said laughing.

"Richmond is chill most of my boys live there."

"Didn't ask." She said lowly.

"You know you always say stuff under your tongue. Unlucky for you I have selective hearing."

Selective hearing?

"Why were you even listening to me."

"Because the teacher yelled at you why else and~ I kinda felt bad for getting you into detention."

Oh

"Ok, now it makes sense."

"What were you thinking." He asked driving closer to her house.

"I was thinking... that." She felt stuck.

She came up with something quick.

"That you were gonna bully me."

He stayed quiet and it was interesting because she thought that he'd laugh at that as if it were a joke.

"On a serious note, no I wouldn't just bully you out of nowhere but I get that. I'm still on a team and everything it's too cliche for me to be a big bully to a tiny little human I can't see." He said with his voice squeaking at the end again, to tease.

Oya laughed for once.

"Woah you laugh. Huh. Ya this had been a weird day for me too."

"Because of me?" She pointed at herself."

"No my coach had something to say to my parents, I have no idea what about and that pisses me off. It's probably about scholarships and such you know Senior and everything."

"Yeah, being a senior is weird." She nods.

They both sigh and then chuckle at the same time.

"I also just didn't know a nerd like you could be so cool with your smoking ass."

Tessa looks at the spliff in her hand that she forgot about.

"Oh right." She packs it away in her container of filled ones."

"Woah a stoner on top of that."

"Well I'm trying to stop because I've been trying to focus at school but it keeps making me sleep in class instead."

"Yeah well, that's what happens. For me strict diet can't smoke on a varsity football team."

"Don't you play for the city too?"

"Yeah High school level which is why I think my parents keep having private conversations with the school to get me on higher levels."

"You tryna join the NFL or something." She giggles but Jake doesn't.

"Oh." She said starting to feel bad.

"Well I don't know how good you need to be but I've seen you play once you were amazing."

They stop at a red light and Jake looks at her in the eyes "Yeah?"

She started feeling shy.

Oh god

She looks towards the window to look at the rain and can hear him chuckle behind her. "Well, thanks not many people compliment."

She turned right away. "How." She paused as he was still looking at her.

She felt tension there but since he already said what his intentions were she didn't think much. He approaches her closer and the light goes green. He waited to the point he heard a car beep and he pulled into the neighborhood. Tessa felt her heart wanting to escape her.

She tries to sit more comfortably being stuck in looking forward. she tugged her baggy oversized red shirt and whipped her hands on skinny jeans. She thought she understood the message that he gave before but her heart kept telling her something was going on.

"What's the house number?"

"Ten." Right around there." She points out.

He approaches her more time out there close to the house. "How about you come to my next came as a cheerleader let's make a deal. Five touchdowns by me and you cheerlead harder than the cheerleader girls."

She stopped shocked but thought about it anyway.

"Deal."

"Shake on it."

They shook hands.
