"Hi" she primped 

"I didn't know that you come to school here" he murmured. His words were short and clipped as if he rarely spoke and Allison would bet that was the case. 

"Well, I just started. Today is my first day" She announced, reaching her hands out to collect the plates from him. He declined. 

Ezra assessed the girl before him. He had no idea what he was doing talking to a random stranger. Daniel was right. The geek was rubbing off on him. 

He cocked his head to the side. "Well let me be the first to welcome you to Adams high, the shittiest place I've ever been to. You're welcome to roll in the muck with us."

Allison threw her head back in laughter surprising the hulk before her. Ezra took a step back in surprise and found himself smiling too. At least someone got his weird jokes. A flash of Cleo laughing at something he said drifted across his head, but he snuffed out the memory immediately.
