Second encounter

Fifteen minutes later, they all were back at the pool.

Nina swallowed hard knowing exactly what would happen next. She was not sure if she could stand the monster the second time.

She would die inside the void. Her heart ached at the idea, her face crumbling with each passing second. She hugged her stomach as anxiety began to kick in.

Before she knew it, she was already in the pool with the demons holding her. They slowly shook her head inside the pool. She knew all too well that if she struggled it would only make matters worse.

Slowly, she became unconscious in the water. Mumbling of strange words could be heard in the background. Some were given her advices on what to do. The voices were getting louder and louder in her ears until her entire world of darkness became quiet.

She saw herself being locked in a cell. Her hands were tied and she was sweating profusely.

"Someone help!" Nina cried trying to free herself from the ropes.

"I see you came for me again. So bad that you won't end well." His lips twisted to a cunning smile.

Nina's eyes trailed down to him. He was dressed in a three-piece black suit and black ties. The ruthlessness in his eyes was enough to send people shivering in fear. Even with his frightening face, he was inhuman handsome.

Lucifer was surprised that she came again even after last time warning. Sure enough this little demon was a stubborn one who would not back down so easily.

"Why are you here again even after my warnings?"

"To end your miserable life." She chuckled revealing her long sharp fangs. "You'll pay for killing my parents."

"I think the last torture wasn't enough to put some sense in you. We should start again." He snapped his fingers and millions of large scorpions came out from the wall.

Nina looked at him in shock when she tried to use her powers but it didn't work.

"Stop trying to use your powers on me and instead focus on the little problem you have on ground. Using your powers on me won't work." He smirked.

Nina looked at the ground and saw that the spiders had got so many. She tried mashing some with her legs but they climbed her body up to her neck.

"Stop!" She yelled when less than five spiders crawled inside her nose, mouth and ears.

"You're going to pay for doing this!" She yelled as the spiders covered her whole body.

"So many ways I can make a troublesome demon like you suffer. Think twice before trying to kill me again." And without warning, he strode down the hallway.

Nina was left alone in the cell covered with so many spiders with different colors. Some were huge and red, chopping off her skin. Others were black as they made way inside her nose.

*Cough*Cough*Cough*

Nina opened her eyes to see herself being pulled up from the water by the demons. She coughed again and mouthful of water came out.

"You passed your second test by trying not to run when you saw him." They raised her from the water.

"You did great," Talon said to her when they appeared back to her room.

"Thank you." Something shook inside her and she suddenly tried to kiss him. But since she has no experience she bumped into him hitting her nose on his face.

"Sorry." She chuckled while rubbing her nose and pulling herself back.

Talon came forward and looked into her eyes. They were inches apart with his breath fanning her face.

The both of them were lost in their own world as Talon leaned forward to kiss her. Suddenly a knock was on the door and they pulled away from each other.

Hannah came inside with two cans of drink and Talon walked away giving them some time to talk.

"I feel like we're total best friends now." Hannah chuckled while opening the can of Pepsi.

"Yeah." I joined in laughing. "Thank you for the blood back then."

"You don't have to." She gave her a light push.

The both them spent an hour together before Hannah went back to work. Nina was about to lay down and sleep when she saw Talon standing in front of her.

He held her hand and teleported her to an old house.

"Why did you bring me here?" Nina asked.

"I used to live here before—" He paused thinking if he should say it or not. "Before I killed my parents."

"You killed your parents?" Nina asked not believing what he was saying.

He nodded.

"How did it happen? Why did you kill them?"

"Long ago, my parents were killed by me unintentionally. Before hand, I noticed about my dark powers but I couldn't tell anyone about it. Sometimes I would raise objects and would think I was day dreaming."

"One night when I was having dinner with my parents I felt something crawl in my skin. Voices were speaking in my head. It got so loud and many and I fell from my chair to the ground."

"My father who noticed it came to me and asked what is wrong with him. The monster inside me took full control of me and killed my father. I ripped out his throat." Nina looked up at him and saw tears.

"My mother screamed and tried to run but I raised my hand at her and used all the powers in me to drain her out. She levitated from the ground and I killed her too. I wasn't full control of my powers so I became unconscious. When I opened my eyes I saw myself here."

"Even with so many years past I couldn't forgive myself." He wiped the tears from his eyes.

"Don't think of yourself that way because there is light in you. You're a good man," Nina assured him.

"No." He took a step backwards. "There is so much darkness in me and I could feel it to my bones. I hear voices which I'm not supposed to."

Nina didn't know what to do so she hugged him tight. The both of them hugged for a while before leaving each other back to their rooms.
