Chapter-10[Demonic Energy]

"Could I also go with you....as I am planning on transferring to this city for now..."

Kyle heard that turns towards Amelia while his eyes showed surprise for a second before vanishing. He could somewhat guess that Amelia belongs to some rich family, but her position is not so good...so it's natural that she wants to live away from them...

"I have no problem..."

Saying that Kyle started to eat his dinner, and Emma started to ask Amelia different questions in an excited tone which Amelia answered. Kyle paused his lunch for a moment when he heard that she is planning on staying in this building but then continued.

After dinner, they all talked about some random things, and then left to their rooms but this time, Amelia stayed in Emma's room cause the latter wanted to talk about different things and other stuff...the usual girl's talk.

Kyle sitting cross-legged in his bed having his eyes closed extends his left hand and feels deep in him, at the [Demonic Energy] pool in his body, and concentrated on that. He tried to control a little amount of that energy and separated it from the pool, but the moment he did the energy which he separated turned into wisps, coming out of his body. Kyle's whole body felt pain, all over and sweat covering his body. Kyle gritted his teeth as not to scream...from the pain and asks...

"Eve...why is it this much....painful...?

[Host, your body is getting used to the Demonic Energy, so, naturally, it will be painful. I suggest you do your training right now, else you will feel more pain later on.]

Kyle nods and again starts to control a little part of the [Demonic Energy] but this time he fully concentrated on that small part and put all of his focus on that small energy and controlled it through his body to come out of his hand, from the same way as the skills work and it did come out of his hand but vanished in the atmosphere...and Kyle started panting...

" Huff...huff..."

'It was more difficult than I thought it would be...I have to change my location...if the energy went out of control, it would have harmed the things around me...and the noise of that should be quite loud...'

[Host, I advise you to stop practicing for now. You need to recover your mental energy which you spend just to control the Demonic Energy.]

"I understand...do the demons have to go through this much tenacious task of gaining control over their [Demonic Energy], Eve?"

[No, if you had around 50% of your bloodline unlocked, then the demonic energy would follow your will...but right now, most of your bloodline is in a sealed state, so you have to practice to gain control over demonic energy.]

"I see...is there any way to unlock my bloodline quickly?"

Kyle knows that he should take things slowly but the moment he acquired the method to become stronger, he is itching to become stronger and provide his family to live a luxurious life. He wants them to see everything they want...and also keep them safe knowing that he will attract attention to himself from now on.

[There are many ways, but you shouldn't lose your patience like this, Host, you will unlock your bloodline with time...]

Eve answered knowing what Kyle is feeling...and from his memories, she knows that he is always ready to do anything for his family...so she isn't surprised by his behavior.

"I understand...so, could I visit a dungeon now?"

Kyle thought for some time and decided to visit the dungeon tomorrow if he got late to come back, then it's just going to give unnecessary worry to others.

Next Day,

After having breakfast, Emma and Amelia left for the University, as Amelia wanted to join the same university and Kyle left for the Hunter's Association, the biggest World Government Association, having its branches all over the world.

Kyle exits the taxi and looks at this city branch of Hunter Association brimming with life. Many people come and go out of the building wearing simple clothes to the expensive shining armor. Long lines of people in front of the shops affiliated with the Association selling different things. Some Hunters purchased some tools which would help them in their endeavor in the dungeon. Kyle also saw many people or hunters having small stalls selling their stuff...but he ignored all that and went inside.

The Hunter Association is a place where the previous Kyle hates to come, as this place always makes him remember his inability and he always felt jealous of others earning huge amounts of money...but now, Kyle just looks at the place with his usual cold expression, not even showing anything and enters inside.

(Kyle's POV)

I then enter through the gate and look inside. The whole Association is divided into several departments, from the inquiry to the Offical Shops and other things.

On my right side, several people are making a commotion while looking at the things on the board to sell...well that place is where they could buy the skill books. The skill books are pretty rare as only the boss monster drops them sometimes and if your luck is good, you could get them from a treasure box you may find...but it has a very low percentage of happening.

I also have many skill books that I desire to buy, but even the E-Rank one costs around 100K$ to 150K$ and that for non-rare skills, for the rare skills, the price may even become two or three times than this one, and that just for the E-Rank.

As for high-rank skills, they are very rare to be displayed here and it only happens when the person doesn't have anyone in the party to use it or they want to have money else people use it immediately. And the danger they had to go through just to get a high-rank skill is not something they want to wait for, so they always use it immediately.

Turning my head towards the Receptionist Hall, I made my way there. Along the way, I could feel myself gathering attention but I ignored that as I have more important things to do.

From the looks of it, there is only one free reception...well I know the reason, that man looks fierce, even I was afraid of him previously. But if you know of his nature, then you wouldn't feel that.

I walk up to that reception and the man raised his head, looking directly into my face with a confused expression...understandable, my appearance changed quite a lot.

Taking my ID out and passing it to the man, I ask,

"Mister Albert, I want to have a Rank Promotion test."

The man, Albert didn't flinch even while hearing my tone...or it started to become normal. He just took my ID and looks at it for a moment before his expression turns into a surprised one.

Understandable, he is someone who had helped me a lot when I just become a hunter, and even now sometimes he helped me to sell my things so that I could get the maximum amount of profit onto them.
