Chapter 80. Lower Than A Fungus

Not long after all of the people left, both Ren Qingquan and I saw the corpse of the black robed man that had been killed by Bai Yushi slowly being swallowed into the soil that was opened by the group of fungi with an aura of luck. As for his soul, it has long been devoured by me through the use of Ren Qingquan [Devour].

When Ren Qingquan saw the corpse of that man being swallowed by the earth, I heard him scream. 'What in the name of a horror movie! This place is so scary!'

Ignoring Ren Qingquan's nonsense, through [Scan] I saw the clothes and corpse of that man being slowly dissolved by the fungi and turned into a spirit qi and many other substances I am not too sure about. 

Even I am shocked by what I saw.

I- Is that even something a fungi is capable of doing? How did it even move the earth to swallow that corpse?

Once I collected my composure, I saw most of the substances and spirit qi the fungi absorbed are used to multiply and increase the range of their influence. Meanwhile a small part of it is sent together with some water to the surrounding trees connected to it in exchange of a... sugar?

When I saw this scene, I was not too sure what to do. This is probably the weirdest thing I'll ever [Anchor]. 

I don't think anything will ever top it.

'Umm.. system. How about trying to talk with it?' Ren Qingquan's half doubtful voice pulled me from my thoughts. 'Also, open Su Ping's view on one of my screens.'

Ren Qingquan's first question is what I've been waiting for. 

[Do you wish to spend 10 points to grant it system screen, and spend 1 point to transfer the screen? ]

'Yes.' After Ren Qingquan nodded, I sent the already prepared screen to that fungi.

As for Su Ping? I already sent his problem to the back of my mind. All I do is leave a small part of my attention and [Calculate]'s calculation power to let Ren Qingquan watch Su Ping's surroundings. 

After all, this fungus is much more interesting.

After waiting for a few minutes, the fungus still failed to respond. It actually doesn't even try to press anything on the screen.

Wait, can a fungus even see the screen I sent?

What Ren Qingquan said just now is indeed true. Although I want to just swallow all the soul this fungi obtained without giving it any benefit. But by giving it some benefit in exchange, it should allow me to gain its trust once it gains sapience.

After all, anyone with weird luck is a freak in their own right. Investing right now should give me more benefit in the future.

'Well, alright then.' With Ren Qingquan's agreement, I can happily start to experiment on the skills attached to that fungus.

First, I turn on the [Scan] attached to it. 

As there are only 4 skills anchored on it, the distance I can sense through its [Scan] is only 20% of Ren Qingquan's range. That is to say, 200 meters.

But due to this fungus's special characteristic. All area that is enveloped by the lucky aura that Ren Qingquan saw through Turtle Divination Technique before is actually counted as a part of its body.

That means although the fungi's [Scan] can only detect a 200 meter radius, the starting point is anywhere connected to it! I can set the center point of its [Scan] at the fungus nearby Ren Qingquan, or at the fungus under the banyan tree 500 meters away from Ren Qingquan, and even at a fungus several meters below the earth.

I also tried to activate [Devour] and it actually works the same way! Its [Devour] can be activated within every area that's within its aura of luck.

Is it because the fungi network is connected to each other? Does that mean if I found something that spread throughout the world and used [Anchor] to attach some of my skills on them, I can control the whole world, or at least gain some sort of omniscience?

The thought of gaining that much power excites me as I quickly continue my experiment. This time I used [Anchor] to attach [Scan] on another fungi network. This fungi network isn't connected to those fungi with lucky aura.

Unlike when I scanned the fungi network with luck aura which allowed me to attach their entirety. This time my [Anchor] is only connected to one of the fungus that make up this fungi network. Basically I only anchored a mushroom instead of the whole network. 

This fact makes my dream of gaining a partial omniscience burst like a bubble. 

Now then, what makes that group of fungi special?

While in deep thought, I also scanned the fungi network with luck aura and compared it with other fungi networks.

That's when inspiration struck me and I found their difference.

First is of course their luck. One has a luck that's quite dense to the point it glows. Meanwhile the others only have an extremely faint amount of luck which can barely be seen when Ren Qingquan focused his Turtle Divination Technique on it.

As for the second one, it is mental power! The mental power released by the network of fungi with a lot of luck is a lot higher in size compared to the one released by the other fungi network. Of course, as they're just a fungi, even if the amount of mental power released is a lot higher than other of its species, it is still much lower than the amount usually released by a normal human.

For information, after I found out the relationship between cultivator's mental power and soul, I realized almost every creature in the world is actually capable of releasing mental powers. It's just that the mental power released by creatures below the nascent soul stage is extremely faint.

Furthermore, anything related to souls has always been my weak point. Which is why I failed to find out about mental power while in the Martial Arts World.

While running, Bai Yushi explained some of her plan to Su Ping in a hushed voice."Let's escape inside the mist mountain range. The place is known to have some area capable of suppressing cultivator's spirit qi and making them unable to use magical techniques."

"Furthermore, I have placed a trap at an area with suppression power and where landslides often happen. As long as we bait those people there, I can activate the trap I've prepared and bury them for good."

When Su Ping heard Bai Yushi's plan, he fell silent for a moment. "Why do you spent so much effort to help me?"

"You've healed me before."

Su Ping replied truthfully. "I just do it because I feel like it. Furthermore, the medicine I used actually doesn't cost a lot." 

"Doesn't matter. What I know is you have helped me when my death and life is uncertain. So I'll also try my best to help you." 

While those two are being lovey dovey, Bai Yushi's face changed as she jumped to the right.

Almost at the same time as her jump, a great sword flew into her previous location and struck a massive crater.

I saw both Su Ping and Bai Yushi turn their heads to the source of that attack. There, the goth young master has arrived while accompanied by a Golden Core stage elderly man. 

the goth young master and that elderly man stood on top of a cloud as they arrived at Bai Yushi's location at lightning speed. They easily traversed the 200 meters distance of my [Scan] within seconds and arrived at the location where the great sword is stuck.

While the elderly man pulled that sword, the goth young master spoke with his hand behind his back. "Those trash are so slow. They can't even beat a weakling at the Qi Refining stage after spending a whole night. This young master still needs to make a move anyway."

"Luckily elder Yi, an expert in tracking is with me. Otherwise I'll have no choice but to give up that cultivation manual."

Although the goth young master had the demeanor of an expert when he placed his hand behind his back. But what comes out of his mouth is a second rate villain dialogue. After all, which idiot will introduce their ability to the enemy.

Bai Yushi's face slightly changed at the mention of White Crane Auction.

The goth young master shook his hand in disregard. "Enough chit chat. Senior Yi, please kill them."

Wait wait wait! This is too dangerous for them. Although I love to see other's adventures and won't intervene much on others lives. I don't want my investment to go down the drain.

Damn it, Ren Qingquan's location is still too far from them. If I want to kill that goth young master and his guardian, my card is quite limited. 

Luckily I've prepared early and anchored that goth young master with one of my skills. Furthermore, Ren Qingquan's nonsense about the necklace actually worked in my favor this time, as I can find a reason to send a helping hand for Su Ping.

I decided to spend 10 points and grant the goth young master with [Devour] before activating it. Then, I sent several messages to Su Ping.

Although Su Ping was a bit confused, he still followed my notification and told Bai Yushi to run.

Thanks to the delay brought by the space crack I summoned with my [Devour], Su Ping and Bai Yushi successfully escaped from the goth young master and finally arrived at a mountain range enveloped by mists.

When both of them passed through the layer of mist, I could hear Bai Yushi sigh in relief as she quickly marched to one location.

Because the terrain she needs to pass is quite complicated, Bai Yushi already let go of Su Ping so he can walk on his own.

Su Ping just silently followed after Bai Yushi as both of them passed through mountains, rivers, valleys, and the area with suppression power she mentioned before.

At last, they stopped at a mountain top with an extreme slope and a massive boulder located nearby. Below the slope, there is a canyon that seems to be bottomless.

Bai Yushi explained. "This is one of the areas with suppression forces. Furthermore, the earth nearby is extremely unstable. All we need to do is push this boulder I've prepared and cause a landslide once those people arrive. The landslide will push them into that canyon while burying them along the way. Thanks to the suppression force, they wouldn't be able to fly and would fall to their death."

Then Bai Yushi raised one of her thumb while using the other to point at the canyon. "I already tried this method several times and it is super effective."

I saw Su Ping stare speechlessly upon hearing her plan to kill others through a landslide.

When Bai Yushi saw Su Ping didn't respond, she suggested. "Let's wait here for a few days. If the people chasing after you don't arrive here, that means we have luckily escaped their tracking."

Su Ping nodded in agreement. "Thank you."

What a pity, as both of them have no means to remove their trace, elder Yi easily tracked their path and arrived at their location in no time. From the [Scan] attached to Su Ping, I saw the elderly man approaching while red eyed.

"Listen here, you little piece of shit! I will skin both of you alive and feed you your own flesh before burning your body in flame for a whole year while feeding a medicinal pill to keep you alive!" 

While walking at the slope, Elder Yi angrily roared at both of them. "I know you bastards are hiding behind that boulder. You better come out now and kneel while crippling your cultivation, or I'll go there and do it myself!"

Is speaking coarse language the trademark of demon cultivators? Both that goth young master and this half step into the coffin elder loved to spew coarse words.

When elder Yi was only 100 meters away from their location, Bai Yushi told Su Ping to push the boulder with her. "Now!" 

Su Ping who had prepared himself, pushed the massive boulder under Bai Yushi's command. 

Although the area they are in right now has the power to suppress cultivator's ability. But it doesn't affect the strength of their body that's been tempered.

"Hahaha are you trying to kill me with that small boulder?" Elder Yi who saw their attempt to push that boulder laughed before ridiculing them. "Do you think I am so stupid as to allow that stone to hit me?"

Elder Yi's laughter reverberated throughout the place as he prepared himself to evade the boulder. That is until he heard the rumbling of the earth that arrived together with the boulder.

When Elder Yi saw the landslide that arrived with that boulder, he cursed. "Fucking piece of shit!" 

With his martial arts and strong body as a Golden Core stage expert, elder Yi tried to evade the landslide and enter a safe area. But the landslide caused by Bai Yushi's boulder is incredibly turbulent and wide in range.

"Die! I'll make you follow me to the grave!" Before he got swallowed by the landslide and fell down the canyon, elder Yi still managed to throw his great sword toward Su Ping and Bai Yushi's location. Although it missed by a breath's length, the impact was enough to destabilize the surrounding area and make the place around Su Ping and Bai Yushi to fall.

Caught unprepared, both of them also slid down from their place and fell toward the cliff. Luckily, the size of this landslide is much smaller than the one that swallowed elder Yi.

While trying their best to jump above the falling stone and not be swallowed by the landslide, Su Ping panickedly opened the system shop. On it, he saw an item placed on top and written with a massive font.

Everything took a long time to describe but it all happened in less than five seconds.

When they arrived at the bottom of the cliff, both of them were already deep inside a canyon on the mountain range. Currently there is only a single road, and both of them must choose to either move to the left or right.

"Let's just choose a random direction." Bai Yushi spoke after contemplating. "It is better than standing here and waiting for death. At most we will retrace our steps if the path we choose ends up with a dead end."

Su Ping nodded his head once he heard Bai Yushi's idea. "Alright." 

Soon the duo walked forward and followed the path until they found a dead end with a double door made of stone placed on the canyon's wall.

On the door, There is a mural depicting a pair of lovers that is pulled by multiple hands that tries to separate them from each other. Meanwhile, both the lovers tried their best to reach out to each other.

Su Ping placed his hand on the door in an attempt to open it. Yet, the door is still locked without budging an inch. 

When Bai Yushi who stood nearby saw it, she lent a helping hand and placed her hand on the door. Yet before I saw her place any force on the door, it already opened on its own.

From the opening of that door, a blinding light shone brightly until the door finally fully opened. Inside the open door, a pink colored portal like thingy can be seen.

Su Ping and Bai Yushi stood frozen in front of the door, until Su Ping broke the silence. "So.. should we enter?" 

Bai Yushi nodded. "Well, this door doesn't seem to be a bad place. From my experience, it most likely led to the place for some expert's inheritance."

After exchanging looks between each other, both of them walked inside the door and disappeared.

All this while, Ren Qingquan has actually followed after them. He is also the one that did the last hit and kill of elder Yi that chased after Su Ping and Bai Yushi. No matter what, a Golden Core expert's body is still incredibly powerful. Even after falling from such a height and unable to use his spirit qi, that elder Yi still has some breath left in him.

Of course Ren Qingquan being Ren Qingquan, he currently looks like a mess after killing that elder. Occasionally, I can hear him hold the urge to vomit from nausea.

But at least it is a growth from his previous self that is unwilling to kill his enemy!

While following both Su Ping and Bai Yushi, Ren Qingquan sometimes gave off a loud noise that should've reverberated throughout the canyon. Yet, thanks to his amazing invisibility state, no one has heard any noise from him.

By the time Su Ping and Bai Yushi disappeared into the door, I can feel Ren Qingquan got the sudden urge to follow them into the door. Especially when he saw the door slowly closing.

[Wait, host! We should see whether or not the place behind that door is safe. Let's check Su Ping and Jade Beauty Bai Yushi's Scan first.]

Upon hearing my suggestion, Ren Qingquan paused on his track and nodded. He then opened the viewing mode and watched Su Ping and Bai Yushi's surroundings through the [Scan] attached to them.

After both of them entered the door, their surroundings changed from the desolate canyon into verdant forests. Furthermore, they are currently in an unconscious state and are separated from each other.

Within the radius of their [Scan], there doesn't seem to be any dangers. So, Ren Qingquan decided to also enter the door.

Before that, he asked me to prepare something. 'System, once that Jade Beauty woke up, sent the system screen to her. It seems after entering a teleportation formation people will always fall unconscious. So, if she wakes up before me, I want you to help me and introduce her to the system function.'

Right after answering me, Ren Qingquan slipped into the door that now barely allows one person to enter.

Once inside the door, I found Ren Qingquan was currently stuck inside a small dark room made out of solid stones. Just like he expected, upon entering the door and being teleported to this dark room, he indeed fell unconscious for a moment. But soon, he woke up due to his strengthened body from cultivation.

When he saw himself imprisoned in the small room, Ren Qingquan initially panicked and started to touch every corner of the room. He also summoned a hammer using Armament Transformation to shatter the stone wall within his surroundings. Yet, when the hammer made of spirit qi from Armament Transformation hit the stone wall, it only released a spark and didn't even leave any mark on the wall's surface.

Three minutes of random smashing later, Ren Qingquan shrugged his shoulder and retrieved his bed from [Storage]. 'Well, there is nothing I can do.'

So, he just entered his bed and fell asleep.

Watching him calmly fall asleep, I held the urge to zap him with lightning. No matter what, Ren Qingquan has indeed worked hard without sleep yesterday.

I might be stingy, greedy, and petty. But I am still not that heartless yet.

Chapter 82. What Kind Of Shitty Forced Development Is This?

Because Su Ping, Bai Yushi, and Ren Qingquan are in a coma, I changed my focus to others while only leaving a small part of my attention on them.

Among the people that's always in my observation, only Ren Qingchen seems to do an interesting things. Coincidentally, when I sent most of my attention to his [Scan], I found him stopped hunting and looked a bit thoughtful before he started to mutter something.

"The inheritance of Endless Infatuation Immortal should start soon." Ren Qingchen suddenly paused. "Guess I need to go and start my preparation. After all, to enter the inheritance area, I need to follow that crazy immortal's requirement of going as a pair of man and woman. Otherwise, even if I found a door, I'll just get imprisoned inside. But, who should I bring with me."

Right after he said that, I saw Ren Qingchen used his movement technique and quickly moved toward the Pure Wave Sect's direction.

Wait a minute, the requirement for this inheritance sounds familiar. 

I looked back at Su Ping and Bai Yushi who had been separated. 

Are they in the inheritance area that Ren Qingchen just mentioned before?

If what Ren Qingchen said is true. Then Ren Qingquan has been imprisoned somewhere in the inheritance site because he forcefully barged in as a single guy?

Now then, With Ren Qingchen also busy running to the sect, let's see what the others are doing.

Through [Scan], I saw everyone that arrived with Ren Qingquan from the Martial Arts world are still busy cultivating or doing missions. 

There are also the Pure Wave Sect's higher-ups who are still playing mahjong on top of their treasured mirror. Of course it doesn't include the two people that chase after Ren Qingquan. 

Next are the many elders Ren Qingquan granted a subsystem during the sect meeting. Then there are the many unimportant cannon fodder Ren Qingquan granted with subsystems when he joined the Pure Wave Sect's class for the first and the last time.

Finally, there is also the Azure Emperor whose anchor still exists. Yet, I am somehow unable to connect with him. With how the last time I saw him is in the emptiness outside the world, is it possible he actually went outside of my signal range or something? I'll need to check this later.

After consecutively switching my view through several [Scan], I found all of them to be boring except for the view coming from two people. 

One of them is from Senior Brother Jin Fushen who first brought Ren Qingquan's group to the Pure Wave Sect. Currently he is doing something akin to raid boss battle together with dozens other cultivators.

As for the boss they're fighting against, it is a giant frog that's constantly attacking the surrounding cultivators with its tongue. What a pity, Senior Brother Jin Fushen is only attached with a lv 1 subsystem containing [Scan]. It makes me unable to watch the battle in detail due to the [Scan]'s short range.

As for the second one, it is from Young Master Gu's scan. Currently he is in the middle of romance anime style love confession.

When I saw Young Master Gu, I was reminded of his lackey who attempted to kill Ren Qingquan. Yet after some observation, I found out he is actually quite chill and there seems to be a misunderstanding.

When I remembered the amount of his luck, I decided to give him a lv 4 subsystem from my own pocket for now. Let's count it as a compensation for using him as my standard unit of measurement for luck.

Of course I'll ask Ren Qingquan for reimbursement later. Currently Ren Qingquan already has more than 3.000 points gained from collecting remnants souls.

With the upgrade of his subsystem, the range of Young Master Gu's [Scan] greatly increased. This made me find out he is currently standing nearby a picturesque lake with a woman standing in front of him. 

At this time, the woman I mentioned is shyly whispering to Young Master Gu as her face slowly turned red. "Senior Brother Gu, do you want to be a dao companion with me?" 

I saw Young Master Gu trying to open his mouth. But right at this moment, a man and a woman appeared from behind a nearby bush.

Yet, even after hearing her say that, the man is still unwilling to accept reality as he shouted. "Yin Lan, There is no need to be afraid. I know you must've been forced to do this." 

Then he shot an angry look at Young Master Gu. "You sick demon, how can you force her to do such a thing?!"

Meanwhile, Young Master Gu just stood there with a cold expression as he looked at the drama that was unfolding.

It might be my illusion, but the expression on Young Master Gu's face is similar to the one Ren Qingquan has when he is confused.

Young Master Gu froze there for a whole minute before he asked with a questioning look. "May I ask who you are?" 

That man gritted his teeth in anger upon hearing Young Master Gu's answer. "Are you trying to fake innocence after forcing Junior Sister Yin to be your dao companion and sending your lackey to kill and rob my treasure?" 

"No seriously, who are you?" After asking a question to the loud man, Young Master Gu then gently pushed the woman that had been hugging him since several minutes ago. "Also, please stop hugging me. We aren't that close." 

The woman felt Young Master Gu pushed her away and started crying.

"How dare you make Yin Lan cry? You trashy second generation douchebag, die!" That loud man pushed his sword toward Young Master Gu who stood coldly watching the chaos around him.

"Gong Jiayi, Stop!" While screaming, Yin Lan, who had been pushed by Young Master Gu previously quickly ran in front of him while hugging him and jumped away from the sword attack. That action of hers resulted in Young Master Gu going outside the sword's range. But in exchange, she entered the range of that man's sword attack.

When the man called Gong Jiayi found Yin Lan entering the path of his sword attack, I saw him trying to suppress his spirit qi. Yet the attack has been released and even after using all of his ability, it still landed at the woman with full force and pushed her into the lake. 

When Gong Jiayi saw it, he shouted in shock "Yin Lan!"

Because he is pushed by Yin Lan, Young Master Gu fell down into the lake together with her. While falling into the depth of that lake, I saw him try to gently push the woman away several times. Yet, the woman's arms don't budge at all.

Due to the weight and that woman who stuck at Young Master Gu like an octopus. Both of them fall deeper into the lake water until both of them finally get sucked into a water vortex. 

Upon being thrown out of that water vortex, Young Master Gu and that woman found themselves inside an underwater cave.

Finally capable of utilizing his full strength, Young Master Gu peeled the hand that's been squeezing him. "This woman is frickin strong. How does she even have such powerful physical strength? I almost died from her damned hug." 

Once he successfully separated her from his body, Young Master Gu looked at the injuries on that woman's body and said. "No matter what, she is still injured because of me. Although I didn't need her help at all previously." 

Young Master Gu took a pill from his robes and fed it to the unconscious woman. When the pill's medicinal effect started, the wound on her body healed and she quickly woke up.

When Yin Lan felt the wound on her body healed, she held Young Master Gu's hand and thanked him multiple times while telling her backstory. "This is the second time you've saved my life. I am not sure whether you remembered it, but the last time you saved me was when I fell from a waterfall after being chased by my enemies!" 

"I've always remembered your life saving grace, and after secretly observing you for some time, I can't help but fall in love with you. Please accept my request and be my dao companion."

Young Master Gu just nodded and ignored her second question. "Let's look for another way out. Although your external wound has healed, there are still some internal injuries on your body. The water vortex we arrived from contained some chaotic energy. If we tried to forcefully pass against its current, your wound might turn worse."

Although she got ignored, the woman called Yin Lan happily nodded as she smiled. It's unknown what kind of thing is going on inside her head.

Young Master Gu walked together with Yin Lan into the depth of that underwater cave, and soon both of them saw a door I am familiar with.

It is a double door made out of stone. On the door, there is a mural of a couple being separated by multiple hands that pull them away from each other.

That's right, it is exactly the same as the door that Su Ping, Bai Yushi, and Ren Qingquan entered. 

What a bullshit coincidence! 

Also, there are actually more than two doors to enter the inheritance site?

When Young Master Gu tried to push the door, he found it unwilling to budge. That is until Yin Lan placed her hand into the door.

Just like the last door I see. Once a man and woman touched the door, it automatically opened itself while shooting light all over the place.

Watching the spectacle unfold in front of them, Young Master Gu asked. "How about we enter this door? Who knows, it might lead us outside of this cave."

"I'll just follow Senior Brother Gu." Yin Lan happily nodded with a smile.

Coincidentally, when both of them are halfway into the door. That loud guy called Gong Jiayi arrived. Just like before when he barged into Yin Lan's confession scene, he still entered with the unknown woman who appeared together with him from the bush before.

When he saw Young Master Gu and Yin Lan enter that door, he pulled the woman next to him along and followed after both of them into the door while shouting. "Wait!!" 

With a flashing light, all four of them left the underwater cave and entered the door.

Upon entering, Young Master Gu is separated from the other three peoples just like how Su Ping and Bai Yushi are separated. 

It can't be said to be exactly the same though. Because unlike both of them, Young Master Gu only fell unconscious for a moment due to his cultivation level.

Chapter 83. Inheritance Site Walkthrough

While watching Young Master Gu checking his surroundings, I saw Ren Qingchen had already arrived at the Pure Wave Sect.

Once he arrived at the Pure Wave Sect, Ren Qingchen pulled a talisman and activated it. With a glow, sound appeared from inside the talisman. 

Soon, a familiar voice can be heard from the talisman. It is exactly Third Princess's voice, one of the person who arrived to the Cultivation world from Martial Arts world.

This came as a surprise for me. I never knew they're actually that close. Are they actually in a relationship?

Wait a minute, Third Princess is around 17 years old. Meanwhile Ren Qingchen is a regressor whose age is only known by heaven itself. Is it possible he is actually a pedophile?

I pushed those useless thoughts away and focused on their conversation. After a short boring talk, both of them decided to meet somewhere nearby Ren Qingchen's location after he said there is some important thing he wants to talk about.

Within a short time Third Princess had already arrived. Just like during the time she beat Ren Qingquan in the Martial Arts world, she still wore the same armor. The main difference being several additional runes that occasionally flashed on them. Which shows its status as a magical weapon.

Upon seeing Third Princess, Ren Qingchen immediately got to the point. "I found the inheritance of a powerful cultivator. But to enter that place early, a pair of men and women is required. So, I thought of bringing you along."

Third Princess asked. "Will it be dangerous?" 

"It should have a small amount of danger. But compared to the gain, that bit of danger won't matter much. After all, cultivators must advance with bravery!" Then Ren Qingchen smiled. " Furthermore I have the answer for some of the tests that will be placed inside the inheritance site. As long as you follow along, we should receive a substantial gain from this inheritance site." 

Third Princess looked thoughtful before nodding her head. "Well, alright. Furthermore my master has indeed asked me to go on an adventure once I can sense spirit qi and cultivate." 

"Then, let's go." Now with Third Princess in tow, Ren Qingchen changed his mode of transportation. Instead of running like before, I saw him pull a metal plate engraved with many small runes.

Placing several spirit stones into an indent located in the middle of that formation plate, it started to release a cloud like white smoke.

Ren Qingchen jumped above the cloud generated by that formation plate and said to Third Princess. "Hop on." 

Third Princess followed suit and both of them quickly traveled in the air and left the Pure Wave Sect.

While they're in midair, I happily overheard the conversation between Ren Qingchen and Third Princess. Although it is mostly Ren Qingchen just explaining things to Third Princess.

Ren Qingchen first explained. "The place we're going to is the inheritance of an Immortal Ascension stage expert called Endless Infatuation Immortal. She is an Immortal Ascender who understood the Dao of interchange between Yin and Yang."

Third Princess asked in curiosity. " What is the Dao of interchange between Yin and Yang?" 

"It is the relationship between man and woman." Ren Qingchen answered with a straight face, while Third Princess looked blankly before she suddenly blushed.

Ignoring the blushing Third Princess, Ren Qingchen said. "Anyway, the inheritance site is located in a secret realm. To enter those secret realms, we need to look for a door that requires a pair to open it. Which is the reason I asked you to join me." 

"Upon entering the door, we should be separated and teleported into a forest. From that forest, there will be three entrances capable of reaching the next inheritance test. But the catch is, a couple who enter through the same door must reach the next test through the same entrance." While Ren Qingchen explained, Third Princess nodded her head.

"All you need to do is walk to the south until reaching the edge of that secret realm. Then, just look for the nearest entrance. It should be shaped like a massive door, the kind you definitely wouldn't miss. I'll also choose that door, so the first test is a guaranteed pass for us."

"As for the second test, it should be a combat related test. Which means I can't tell you much about it. Then, there will also be another test that asks about several questions. I want you to answer all of those questions with 'secret'. I can't tell you in detail the reason, because even I don't quite understand the reason. I just saw it in a book."

Third Princess seems shocked upon hearing Ren Qingchen. "Ah? There are also things you don't know?"

Ren Qingchen rolled his head. "Of course."

Then, Ren Qingchen just taught Third Princess about some more detail while casually chatting.

Thanks to their previous conversation, I've understood the inheritance site better.

Ren Qingchen landed his cloud into the ground and took the spirit qi imbued in the formation plate, which causes the white mist like cloud to disperse.

After he checked his surroundings, Ren Qingchen nodded and said to Third Princess. "There should be a door behind the vortex under this lake. The vortex is slightly dangerous due to the energy it contains."

Ren Qingchen then pulled two sets of pill boxes from under his pocket. One of them contains blue colored pills, while the other one contains yellow colored pills. "Take one of each kind and swallow them. The blue one will allow you to breathe underwater for a short time, while the yellow one will protect you from the chaotic energy trapped inside that vortex."

Ren Qingchen took one of each pill and swallowed it. Third Princess immediately followed suit.

Once I saw the medicinal effect of those pills dispersing all around their body, Ren Qingchen told Third Princess to jump inside the lake.

Diving deep into the lake, they quickly arrived at the vortex that previously swallowed Young Master Gu. Relaxing the control of their body, they allowed themselves to be swallowed by the vortex.

Soon, both of them arrived inside an underwater cave while being drenched.

When he felt himself standing on dry ground, I saw Ren Qingchen circulated his spirit qi and vaporized the water in his cloth to keep him dry.

Third Princess who saw it requested Ren Qingquan to also help her. "Can you use that technique to dry my clothes too?" 

Ren Qingchen nodded and started circulating his spirit qi. 

With both of their clothes dry, both of them traveled deeper into the underground cave and arrived in front of the door that Young Master Gu used.

Ren Qingchen placed his hand and pushed the door. Seeing the Third Princess standing still in her position, he asked her to help him. "Come here and help me push open the door." 

Third Princess quickly placed her hand on one of the doors. Yet, even after pushing until their faces turned red, both of them still failed to open the door.

Ren Qingchen stopped pushing first and contemplated while muttering in a low voice. "Weird, I am sure I remembered the date right. Then, is this door already used? Or is it possible there are some changes due to my regression?" 

"If it is the former, it doesn't matter much as I still know the location of two other doors. But if it is the latter, then things are gonna turn troublesome."

Conveniently, the Third Princess didn't hear him muttering and asked. "Ren Qingchen, what are you muttering about? Also, what should we do now?"

Ren Qingchen calmly replied. "It seems the door has been used by someone before we arrived. So, let's leave this place first. I still know two other places where this door can be found."

Then, both of them left the cave through the vortex they came from. Although there are many chaotic energies inside the vortex, thanks to the medicinal properties of Ren Qingchen's pills that are still activated even now, both of them safely exited the passage and returned to the outside world.

Standing next to the lake, Ren Qingchen used his technique again and dried both of their clothes before taking his formation plate from inside his robe and activating it.

"Hop on, we'll check the door located inside a mountain first. If the door is still unable to be opened, then we'll go to the one located at Mist Mountain Range. The location of that door is a bit troublesome though, which is why I placed it last."

The Third Princess readily agreed. "Alright then, I'll just follow along."

Soon, they arrived at an unassuming mountain in the middle of a mountain range. The density of spirit qi in the surrounding areas is incredibly low. Which makes the place extremely deserted with barely any beasts at all.

I saw Ren Qingchen controlled his cloud and circle around the mountain until he finally landed on one side. Within a hundred meters of his landing spot, I sensed a cave through [Scan].

Both of them quickly entered the cave under Ren Qingchen's guide, and soon a door appeared before both of them. Luckily, unlike the door before, this one immediately depended once Ren Qingchen and the Third Princess placed their hand on the door.

Before the Third Princess could take a step inside, I saw Ren Qingchen stopped her. "Wait! Eat this first before we enter the door." 

Ren Qingchen pulled a small pill box filled with six pills. After picking one and eating it himself, he explained the effect of that pill to the Third Princess. "This pill will help you resist the side effects of teleportation. So, with the help of this pill, we won't turn unconscious after being teleported like when we first arrived in the cultivation world."

Chapter 84. Insane Woman Alert!

Upon entering the door, Ren Qingchen and Third Princess are separated from each other. 

From Ren Qingchen's [Scan], I saw him arrive near a river. There is a group of deers at Body Tempering stages standing more than a hundred meters away from him. All of them are busy drinking water from the river.

When Ren Qingchen saw those deers, he just shook his head while climbing a tree. "It's not time for hunting." 

On top of the tree, he raised his head and looked at the sky above. Although Ren Qingchen called this place a secret realm, just like the outside world, there is also sun in the sky above. Furthermore, the sun's location is exactly the same as the outside world.

So, with the guide of the sun, Ren Qingchen found the direction of the south and ran at full speed toward it.

Meanwhile, I placed my attention on Third Princess's [Scan], where I saw her do similar things as Ren Qingchen. 

Different from Ren Qingchen. Upon entering the door, she arrived at a slightly open area which allowed her to merely raise her head to see the sky above. After doing a short check at the sky, she immediately ran towards the southern direction.

Following Ren Qingchen's walkthrough, Third Princess reached the edge of that secret realm. On the edge of the secret realm is an opaque barrier-like thing.

Based on the result of [Scan]. If seen from Third Princess's current location, everyone will only see a continuation of the forest they are at. But, once my [Scan] passes through the barrier with some difficulties, what I sensed is nothingness. It is an empty space similar to the Consciousness Space I am in, with occasional flickering lights in it.

That's right, that empty space is exactly the same as the location I last saw Azure Emperor at, or the location where the Heavenly Will usually throws the thing it swallowed through space crack.

During the time I checked the outside of that barrier with my [Scan], I saw Third Princess placed her hand on it. Once her hand touched the opaque barrier, faint ripples appeared on it and spread for a short distance.

With her sense of curiosity fulfilled, Third Princess continued her journey following Ren Qingchen's guide before they entered the inheritance site. 

From her current location, she walked slightly to the north and searched the surrounding areas.

Soon, At the edge of Third princess's [Scan], I saw a massive bronze gate that's incredibly out of place from the surrounding scenery. It stood alone there with neither wall, cave, or any sort of construct behind it.

No wonder Ren Qingchen called it the kind of entrance one won't miss. The bronze gate is huge, incredibly huge! 

From a short estimate, it is at least ten meters wide, as for the height, I am not even sure because it already reached beyond Third Princess's low leveled [Scan].

While she circled the bronze gate in curiosity, Ren Qingchen appeared soon after.

Due to Ren Qingchen's subsystems being level 4, his [Scan] is much stronger than Third Princess's. Thanks to that, I can finally see the door's complete form.

It is a 10 meters wide and 20 meters tall bronze door. On it, similar engraving to the stone door which leads to the inheritance site can be seen. The only difference being a number written on it. Right now, the number written there is '0/4'.

When Ren Qingchen saw the number, he looked a bit confused as I heard him mutter. "How come three couples already found the inheritance site at this time. In my past-"

It seems Ren Qingchen finally realized there is another person next to him as he paused midway.

"What should we do now?" Third Princess asked while curiously looking at Ren Qingchen as he muttered to himself. "Also, what are you muttering about?" 

"I am just shocked by that number." Ren Qingchen replied while pointing at the '0/4' number. "The 0 there means there aren't any couples who have reached the next test. Meanwhile the 4 written there mean 4 couples inside this inheritance site, which is extremely weird!" 

Third Princess asked. "Why is it weird? Haven't we also arrived at the inheritance site?" 

"Yeah, but the inheritance has only been open for one or two days at most. Also, don't you remember how secret the door to enter this inheritance site is?"

"Maybe they also read the book you found?" Third Princess shrugged as she replied.

"Yeah." I saw Ren Qingchen reply while trying to keep a poker face. He then pushed open the door and went inside together with Third Princess.

Which means every single group there has at least one person with huge luck. So, all of them met the criteria for a 'protagonist'.

With that conclusion, I nod at my own idea. 

While I am praising myself for my own genius, I got awakened by an interesting event coming from Young Master Gu's [Scan].

At this time, Young Master Gu somehow met Yin Lan. 

Actually meeting is the wrong word as Yin Lan seems to be following him through some means. Because from the edge of Young Master Gu's [Scan], I can see her running directly towards him.

Even Young Master Gu felt so as he moved slightly backward.

Seemingly unaware of the freaky thing she just said, Yin Lan went closer to Young Master Gu and asked. "So, where are we going?" 

"I don't know." Young Master Gu just shrugged and walked randomly.

Although Young Master Gu gave her a half hearted answer, Yin Lan still silently followed him with a smile on her face. 

They walked for a short time when a bronze gate appeared at the edge of their view. The location of this door is different from the one Ren Qingchen and Third Princess used.

When Young Master Gu saw the door, he said, "This door is most likely related to the one we come from. It might even allow us to leave this place. From the time I spent here, I feel this place looks like an inheritance ground. I am uncomfortable with entering an unknown place with unknown danger." 

Yin Lan nodded, then she went and opened the door first. 

When both of them saw the door easily opened, both of them passed through it and reached the next part of the inheritance test.

A few minutes after Young Master Gu entered the entrance to the next level, Su Ping and Bai Yushi also found theirs.

Actually, since the time Ren Qingchen arrived, they already woke up and traveled around randomly. 

I've also followed Ren Qingquan's will before he die- I mean, sleep. 

Once Bai Yushi woke up, I activated the system screen that's already attached to her and typed a message.

All I got from her is just occasional 'Eh' and 'ohhh' while she checked the system function. Then she went on with her own life.

As expected of a jade beauty template. Even when she finds such a cheat, she can keep a calm and cold expression on her face.

Now then, let's stop the flashbacks and return to the current time.

Although Bai Yushi and Su Ping don't have walkthrough like Ren Qingchen nor the freaky ability that Yin Lan has. Both of them still met each other just before a door through sheer coincidence.

As for their journey, it is pretty chill and calm. There is only one battle, which involves Su Ping fighting against a crocodile that attacked him when he tried to pass a river midway through his journey.

While standing in front of the door to the next test, Bai Yushi spoke to Su Ping who arrived after her. "It seems this place is indeed the inheritance site of an expert. Furthermore, the expert is probably at the Tribulation Transcendence stage or even Immortal Ascension stage. Because when I traveled around before, I found out we are most likely in a secret realm which can only be created by cultivators above Tribulation Transcender realm."

Then, Bai Yushi continued. " That means, you should try to do your best and receive the best reward possible. Even if you can't gain the main inheritance, just some 'small' treasures those experts left is enough to push the cultivation for someone at our level."

"Thank you for the advice." Su Ping nodded his head. Then, both of them pushed the door and passed through it.

With Su Ping and Bai Yushi's entry, all couples inside the inheritance site already arrived at the next test. 

There is also that loud Gong Jiayi person who entered with Young Master Gu. What a pity I don't have any skill anchored on him, so I don't know his current situation.

But from how the number in the door changed to '3/4' by the time Su Ping and Bai Yushi found it, that Gong Jiayi guy must have also successfully entered the next test. I am not sure which door Gong Jiayi and the woman who always stood next to him used to enter the next test though.

Chapter 85. Finally, A Normal Scene After So Long!

Once Su Ping and Bai Yushi entered the door, they appeared amidst a vast plain. A few meters in front of them, stood an extremely tall tower.

Nearby both of them, there are Ren Qingchen, Third Princess, Young Master Gu, Yin Lan, Gong Jiayi, and the unknown woman who always stood next to Gong Jiayi.

All of them currently stood at a plaza in front of the tower. On the left most side is Ren Qingchen and Third Princess, while on the opposite end is Young Master Gu who stood with his arm crossed and focused his eyes on everyone there.

While everyone was looking at each other in curiosity, a cluster of light gathered nearby them. The light soon took the form of a woman and talked with everyone there using a robotic voice. 

"All of the candidates who joined at a similar time have arrived, congratulating me for passing the first test. By completing it, that shows all of you have some fate with Endless Infatuation Immortal's inheritance. The next test will be held on the tower in front of you."

Is that... an AI? or just some kind of programmed illusion? No matter which one it is, this thing is still a black technology nevertheless. How is it even possible to create this thing? 

Since the time that light woman appeared, I've used the [Scan] attached to everyone there to search every nook and cranny on their surroundings and found no trace of formation, magical weapon, or anything similar. 

As for the light woman's body, it is entirely made out of spirit qi, which means it is not a soul but merely an energy construct. So, how is this light woman created? I am incredibly curious about it.

After the light woman gave her congratulations, she looked at everyone present. "The tower will test every couple's compatibility in terms of combat. The higher the amount of floor you can climb, the better the reward you will achieve once you complete the test."

"Within two hours, all of you can challenge the tower as much as you want. So, good luck!" Once the light woman finished saying her part, she disappeared from everyone's sight and turned into four lights of different colors. 

Each light separated itself into two parts and then shot toward the eight people. Once it arrives at their target, those lights turn into a floating '0' on top of their head. It seems the number shows how high the amount of floor they've climbed is.

Right now, Ren Qingchen and Third Princess have a red light above them, Young Master Gu and Yin Lan have a blue light, Su Ping and Bai Yushi have a yellow light, and lastly the loud Gong Jiayi and that unknown woman who always stuck to him got a purple light.

Once the light shone, Gong Jiayi's complain can be heard as he pointed at Young Master Gu and Yin Lan. "Why is Yin Lan connected with that douchebag!"

Yin Lan, who heard Gong Jiayi shout at Young Master Gu, looked at him with an angry face.

Beside Gong Jiayi, the woman who's always stood silently next to him also poked him while speaking in an angry tone. "Oh.. so you don't like to team up with me, eh?" 

Gong Jiayi's face turned awkward when he heard the woman's question.

On the side, Young Master Gu just stared at the three with a poker face. It is unknown what kind of thing he is thinking.

While Gong Jiayi is busy flirting everywhere and having a melodramatic conversation. Ren Qingchen, Third Princess, Bai Yushi, and Su Ping entered the tower.

Once they enter, I can only see Bai Yushi from Su Ping's [Scan]. As for Ren Qingchen's [Scan], I can only see himself and Third Princess.

When I saw those who entered the towers together and got separated based on their assigned colors, I felt like a bumpkin who saw a modern city for the first time. 

This spatial ability used here is far beyond my understanding! I wish I could create something as cool as this.

Ren Qingchen entered the tower and saw Third Princess walking next to him. 

In front of them, there is a wide circular room with a vague white humanoid shape made out of light standing in the middle. In terms of shape, it is similar to a mannequin usually found in a shopping mall. The kind without any face.

Once both of them arrived a few meters in front of it, I saw the light mannequin dashed toward them at high speed while moving its body in preparation for an attack. 

From Ren Qingchen's [Scan], I found it actually contains energy equal to Ren Qing Chen. Approximately at the peak of Qi Refining stage. 

What a pity, that mannequin-like puppet is made out of spirit qi. If only it is made out of souls, I'll be able to absorb it without repercussions.

Or at least, if Ren Qingquan is there. I can [Anchor] some stones with [Devour] and swallow those mannequin like puppets without much repercussions. At most, it will only summon a space crack that will swallow a stone.

At the same time, a familiar robotic female voice sounded."You have 5 minutes to rest. Please enter the next floor before the time is up." 

The sound is similar to the one coming from the woman made of light who appeared when Ren Qingchen and the others stood in front of the tower's plaza.

Ren Qingchen immediately walked towards the stair once he saw it appear. 

Behind him, Third Princess questioned. "Don't you need to rest and regain your Spirit Qi first?"

"There is no need to waste time."Ren Qingchen shook his head and walked up the stairs. 

When both of them appear on the second floor, they find themselves looking at the exact same floor as the one before. The main difference being the amount of mannequin like puppets. In the middle of the room stood two puppets at the peak of the Qi Refining Stage.

Although the amount has doubled, due to the puppet's inability to use any magical technique, Ren Qingchen alone easily curb stomped it.

They once again easily passed the floor and advanced to the next level.

On the third floor, the amount of puppet doubled yet again and there are four of them standing in the middle of the room.

Just like before, Ren Qingchen alone curb stomped all four of them.

Through [Scan], I can faintly hear Third Princess mutter. "Am I even needed here?" 

Ren Qingchen continued thrashing those puppets with his hand alone until they reached the fifth floor.

At the fifth floor, the number of puppets has increased to sixteen. Furthermore, each of them wore armor and a sword made out of condensed Spirit Qi. 

When he saw those puppets, Ren Qingchen frowned and pulled the sword on his waist.

"Do you need any help?" Next to him, Third Princess asked in concern.

Ren Qingchen nodded. "Yeah, this time it is starting to get a bit troublesome." 

Then, I sensed him circulating his Spirit Qi in his body

Once those puppets dashed to his location and prepared to attack him, Ren Qingchen slashed his sword and created a wide crescent moon shaped spirit qi attack. That attack successfully hit six puppets and separated four of them right in their torso. As for the remaining two, one lost its arms while the other one lost one of its legs and turned immobile.

Next to him, Third Princess also pulled her sword and channeled her spirit into it. Next, a frost appeared on her sword and she stabbed several puppets' limbs consecutively. 

At the location Third Princess attacked, a thin layer of ice appeared. Once the puppet is infected by that ice layer, their movement turns slower and makes it easier for Third Princess to destroy them.

Now I think about it, fighting against this light puppet made out of spirit qi has seriously nerfed Ren Qingchen. After all Ren Qingchen has extremely amazing poisons concocting ability. Meanwhile, those light puppets aren't living creatures, and should be impervious to poisons.

By the time I finished thinking, Ren Qingchen and Third Princess had already finished the fight. As it is quite intense, both of them swallowed a pill and spent the five minutes break to recover their spirit. 

Once they arrived at the sixth floor, I saw Ren Qingchen sighed when he saw the thirty two puppets standing in the middle of the room. Just like on the floor before, each of them wore armor and wielded a sword.

Upon sending both of them, those puppets quickly pounced toward Ren Qingchen and Third Princess. Thanks to the battle at the fifth floor, both of them already gained some tacit understanding and stopped fighting alone.

Third Princess used her freezing sword to slow down those puppets or defend against their attacks. This makes it so Ren Qingchen can easily focus himself on destroying the puppet and decrease the need to evade the attacks coming from those puppets.

With their teamwork, both of them barely pass through the sixth floor. 

Before Third Princess hit the last puppet with the intent to destroy it, Ren Qingchen shouted. "Stop! Just freeze it and let's regain our strength first." 

Third Princess nodded and just froze the limbs of the last puppet so it was unable to move.

When I saw that, I felt a bit speechless. Whoever made this tower is quite stupid to leave such a glaring loophole.

Wait a minute! I changed my mind. I just remembered the woman made out of light said the limit for their challenge is two hours. So, if the challenger feels smart and always abuses this loophole to rest when it's not needed, they will instead achieve lower results than if they just bulldozed their way up.

The one who created this tower is quite sly!

After Ren Qingchen and Third Princess rested for fifteen minutes, both of them continued to the next floor.

The enemy on the seventh floor is still puppets at the peak of the qi refining stage with armor and weapons. But different from the one before, the weapons they used are more varied instead of just a sword. There are some using whips, some using shields, some with bow and arrows, there are also some using giant hammers.

Furthermore their number reached a staggering sixty four!

When Ren Qingchen saw those puppets run toward him and Third Princess, he immediately pulled a flute from his robe. From [Scan], I found the energy contained inside that flute to be quite huge.

He channeled most of his spirit into the flute and blew it.

The flute released a melodious sound and immediately a small tornado appeared in the circular room. 

With a change of melody from Ren Qingchen's flute, the tornado changed direction and swiped every puppet on its path.

Yet, in less than a minute of using that flute, I saw Ren Qingchen's face pale and his Spirit Qi storage hit rock bottom. But by the time Ren Qingchen is out of spirit qi, the amount of puppet left is only less than twenty.

The flute is the one Ren Qingchen showed previously, when in the Martial Art world's teleportation formation. During that time, I've scanned the flute once. But when I saw the power of the flute just now, I quickly scanned it thoroughly once more. 

Based on the knowledge I gained from the books I scanned, the flute is most likely a low level Spirit Weapon. A weapon one stage higher than a Magical Weapon like the sword Ren Qingquan created before.

Magical Weapons are something usually used by Qi Refining stage cultivators up to early Nascent Soul stage cultivators. Spirit Weapons are usually used by cultivators at Nascent Soul stage and above.

As for how Ren Qingchen gained that flute in the Martial Arts world, that's not my problem. Even if he stole it, I can just change the shape and colors when creating a similar flute. With my extensive knowledge, changing the exterior of a weapon without affecting its function is a breeze. Perhaps.

Ren Qingchen, who is out of spirit after using the flute, asked Third Princess. "Hold those puppets for me. I need to recover my spirit." 

She nodded and used the sword in her hand to slash at every puppet that arrived nearby them. Meanwhile, Ren Qingchen meditated on the floor after he ate some medicinal pills.

After ten minutes, Ren Qingchen's energy has mostly returned. He once again blew the flute on his hand and summoned a small tornado. That tornado sucked the puppets fighting against Third Princess and immediately shattered them into particles of lights.

Soon, the stairs descended once again. Then a familiar female voice sounded, telling them they have five minutes of preparation. 

Third Princess and Ren Qingchen immediately sat in meditation to recover their spirit. Once the five minutes was almost up, Third Princess tried to enter the stairs and teach a higher floor when Ren Qingchen shook his head. "Let's leave, this floor is already our limit." 

"Alright." Third Princess easily agreed with Ren Qingchen's suggestion and left the tower.

Once the five minute timer was up, both of them disappeared from the tower's interior.

Chapter 86. Which Idiot Placed Their Treasury Next To A Prison?

By the time Ren Qingchen and Third Princess went out, everyone else already stood outside.

Both of them are actually the last one to finish the tower's trial even though they are the one who entered first.

On top of their heads, there are lights that show various numbers.

Above Su Ping and Bai Yushi's head, there is the number 3. The reason they merely reached that floor is because Su Ping is out of points and unable to purchase items from the system shop. As for Young Master Gu. The number above his head is 4, which is slightly better than Su Ping and Bai Yushi's.

Although he is a Golden Core stage cultivator and is the strongest among everyone standing there, the puppets he met during the test are just that much more stronger, with each at Golden Core stage.

Just like the puppets at Foundation Building stage, the Golden Core stage Puppet Young Master Gu and Yin Lan met is also capable of using magical technique. The magical techniques used by those puppets are also a bit more varied where some can increase their allies' speed, or strength, or summon magical barrier, flame, wind, etc.

Lastly, the light above Gong Jiayi and the unknown woman next to him show the number '5'. Which is the second highest. As I haven't anchored any of them with a subsystem, I don't know how they reached such a high floor.

Exactly two hours after the light woman disappeared, it returned once again. The way it appears is the same as before, where she condensed out of tiny particle of lights.

When the woman looked at everyone there, she congratulated them with a mechanical voice. "Congratulations for completing the second trial. All of you have shown an amazing tacit understanding during the test. One couple has even surpassed expectations and completed the seventh floor."

When the light woman said that, everyone looked at Ren Qingchen and Third Princess. Except for Young Master Gu who keeps his poker face, and Gong Jiayi who has a frown. Everyone else has an amazed expression.

The light woman continued as the ground in front of Ren Qingchen split open and a small platform rose. Above the small platform, there is a small pink stone with mysterious lusters. "For your amazing achievement, you've been rewarded with a fragment of Love Stone. It has the power to increase a cultivator's chance to conceive a child if placed nearby during an exchange between Yin and Yang. This Love Stone is something created by Endless Affection Immortal's during her attempt of comprehending her Dao."

Ren Qingchen nodded and took the Love Stone from the platform in front of him. "This is just what I needed, thank you."

On the side, Third Princess elbowed Ren Qingchen and teased him. "Have you found a woman you like and want to have a child with her soon?"

Ren Qingchen side eyed her and whispered with a serious face. "Don't misunderstand, this Love Stone's ability is actually to slightly increase the chance for living creatures to conceive descendants."

"Yeah, and?" Third Princess looked curious when she asked that question.

I saw him finally wake up and stretch his body. Next, he stored the bed under him into [Storage] before he finally spoke to me. 'System, have you mentioned the subsystem to Bai Yushi?'

[Done. Also host, system has found another suitable candidate for a subsystem. Do you wish to attach a subsystem on him?]

The questions written on the paper are simple at first. But the further it is, the more personal the question is.

The first few questions merely asked their name, birth date, gender, parents name, or other basic data. But the later part asked about personal matters like hobbies, secrets, favorite foods, disliked foods, and many other things. In total, there are fifty questions written there.

Within twenty minutes, everyone there had filled their own paper.

Su Ping, Bai Yushi, and Young Master Gu filled every question seriously.

Meanwhile, Ren Qingchen and Third Princess proceed with their plan. Both of them filled all fifty questions with the word 'secret'.

Once the thirty minute countdown ended, the woman reappeared and said. "Now, please guess the answer your partner has written. The more correct answers you fill, the higher your points will be. Those with higher points will have better rewards."

A new paper suddenly appeared in front of everyone there.

Hearing the woman's words, everyone there quickly wrote their answer. Every Time they finish answering a question, the correct answer will appear next to their guess.

For example, once Ren Qingchen finished filling the first question with the word 'secret', another 'secret' word appeared next to the one he wrote.

My guess is it is the effect of a certain formation. Because the stones Ren Qingquan stored in [Storage] to escape the rooms are all made out of normal materials.

Outside of the prison, there is a treasury like place. It is a wide square room with a pond placed right in the middle of the room. My [Scan] detected many items containing massive amounts of energy everywhere.

For example, near the place Ren Qingquan comes from, a small pile of spirit stones are placed haphazardly.

When Ren Qingquan saw it, he immediately stored it in [Storage] after he threw away the stones and soils he previously stored inside. Those stones and soils come from his previous act of digging a hole in the wall.

At the opposite end of the room, there are many shelves containing pills and materials. There are dried plants, stones, unknown powders, and many other things. Just like the spirit stones, he also stored everything inside his [Storage].

On the room's left side, there are two bookshelves, which I scanned when Ren Qingquan passes through them. The two bookshelves actually only contained several hundred copies of the same books.

As for his right side, there is a stone platform with unknown function. Above the platform, there is a complicated formation with unknown functions.
