Prologue

Since the founding of this country, the four heroes known as the Aces have contributed to the protection, prosperity, and well-being not only of the country but of the entire continent of Howrable. From the annihilation of wild beasts to diplomacy to the construction of the foundations, the four heroes have been venerated and loved throughout the centuries.

—The great Lady of Spades, who will cut down everything in her path with her sword! —said the king enthusiastically while witnessing the summoning ritual. —The great Squire of Clubs, who will protect the world with his shield!

These were difficult times for his kingdom, but nothing could take away the excitement of finally seeing those heroes who, since childhood, he had always been told would come to save the world in its darkest moments.

—The great Lancer of Diamonds, who will pierce evil with his lance!

He had saved the best for last, the one who had always been his favorite character from the countless stories recorded throughout history, and whom he had requested to be the first summoned so he could meet her.

—And the one who will be the most beautiful of maidens, the pure and cultured Priestess of Hearts!

He had prepared the dialogue to perfectly match the summoning. After a spectacle of red lights, a human figure materialized, opening its eyes, which were a deep red and had a heart shape in them.

—Haaa! —exclaimed the king upon seeing the humanoid figure, unable to contain his excitement, approaching to be the first to see her. —I-Is it a man!?
