Three months later, the couple return back to Italy.
(Verona. A deserted street in the city)
(Romeo and Juliet enter)
Romeo: How strange it is to be in Verona now, When all around is silent, empty, and dead. The streets that once were filled with life and love, Are now devoid of any sound or breath.
Juliet: The pandemic has swept through this land, And taken with it many of our kin. Our families are gone, and left behind Are only memories of what once had been.
Romeo: But yet, here we stand, alive and well, Despite the dangers that surround us still. We must be careful in this new world, And take each day with caution and with skill.
Juliet: I fear for what the future holds, But with you by my side, I am bold. Together, we will face this world anew, And find a way to start our lives anew.
Romeo: Let us go and seek out those who remain, And see if we can help them in their pain. For even in these dark and troubled times, Love and kindness can help us to survive.
