After some more attempts to keep me in his house, Kameron finally let me leave.
I was practically floating as I made the somewhat short journey back to the lodge.
It was dark out and kind of eerie but I felt safe. There were guards scattered all around the pack area.
I knew that those rogues wouldn't cross the borders to try and come and get to me, especially when the security was so tight here.
I had nothing to worry about yet I couldn't shake the feeling that I was being watched.
I picked up my pace a little bit. I probably should have just taken Kam up on his offer to walk me home. Maybe I would have felt more at ease about walking home. The lodge was a good 30 mins walk from his house and I had done it more than enough times to be familiar with the surroundings.
