Rising of the Bow hero

What if in the rising of the shield hero, the bow hero wasn't a total douche?? That would be cool I think. And that's what this story is!!!

Chapter 13

The day of the wave finally arrived. Liv rolled over and threw a pillow at Jax hitting him in the back of the head.

"2 more minutes…" He mumbled before being hit by a second pillow.

"Ughh! Fuck your pillows! I'm taking them away!" Jax yelled out as he woke up.

Liv rolled over on her other pillow. "Shh I'm trying to sleep."

Jax picked up the pillows on the floor and whipped them back at her. "If I have to suffer then so do you."

Liv rolled out of bed sloppily and the two went downstairs to eat together while both complaining about having to be awake.

The innkeeper smiled as she took a sip of coffee. It was a routine at this point.

Jax smacked the sides of his face before looking up at the innkeeper. "This might be our last meal."

She looked shocked. "Don't say things like that! I believe in you heroes! You can beat the waves."

Jax looked confused. Then he realized the misunderstanding. "Oh, I just meant we're moving out soon."

The innkeeper smiled, though she did have a sad look in her eyes. "As long as you two are alright."

Jax smiled. "Here, for all the trouble." He tossed her a bag of 100 silver.

She smiled. "I don't need any payment. It's been a pleasure to have you. It won't be nearly as lively without our resident hero and convict around."

The two froze in place. "W-what are you talking about?" Liv asked.

The innkeeper smiled softly. "You guys really aren't morning people. You forget your cloak at least once a week hun."

Jax burst into laughter while Liv was dumbfounded.

The innkeeper then smiled. "You shouldn't be laughing, young man. You've walked down in your underwear at least 4 times."

This time the roles reversed as Liv started laughing and Jax was lost. Did he really do that?

The two finished up their meal and friendly chat with the innkeeper before heaving back up. Jax kept tinkering away at his latest project while the duo waited for the next wave.

"Done!" Jax finally exclaimed with a proud smile on his face. There was a tent sitting in front of him that looked fairly normal.

However, when you took a step inside it actually had the same amount of space as the inn room they shared. In it was a kitchen, bathroom, 2 beds, and anything else they needed. The tent could also be stored in his bow so it was the perfect moving home.

Jax had been working so hard on this tent that he hadn't been able to create anything else for the duo. He did add some enchants to Liv's gear but wasn't in the mood to create anything else until he finished this masterpiece.

Liv looked genuinely impressed. "You realize this could actually revolutionize this country right? Like, imagine going to war with this… Or even just adventuring…"

Jax laughed. "Maybe I'll sell it to the queen. I could make some decent cash for the blueprints."

Liv nodded. "Yeah, you really could."

Jax looked down at his status. "And perfect timing. You ready?"

Liv sighed. "I'm not helping anyone but you."

Jax smiled as the light enveloped the two. "Wouldn't have it any other way."

Suddenly the two were in an unfamiliar area with giant floating ships in the air.

Jax looked at Liv. "Would you do the honour?"

She rolled her eyes. "The things I do for you." She said as she made an ice stairway to the ship's deck.

Jax smiled. "You're the best." They were about to take off to the ship with Vick and co when a voice stopped them.

"Goddess! We meet again!" Motoyasu yelled out.

The duo rolled their eyes in sync. "For fucks sake. I'm seriously going to kill him." Liv muttered.

Jax nodded. "Make it look like an accident."

At this point Motoyasu arrived in front of the two, out of breath. "Goddess! Please join me in my noble journey to rid this land of evil!"

Jax kicked him in the face and took off his hood. "Spear douche. Don't touch my party members."

"W-what?! What are you doing here?!" Motoyasu yelled out.

Jax rolled his eyes. "We all get teleported here dumbass. That's how this works."

Ren gasped in shock when he saw the two together. "Y-y-you were that guy from last time!"

Jax seriously facepalmed. "Did you really just realize? Who the fuck else would we have been?"

Even Naofumi shook his head. "I wasn't even there and I knew it was him."

Jax smacked his palm. "Thank you! Someone sensible!"

Motoyasu got up. "Sensible? He's a rapist!"

Jax shot an arrow that cut off a chunk of his long hair. "Shut. The. Fuck. Up." Then he smiled. "Please."

Liv rolled her eyes and also took off her hood. "Can we just get this over with?"

Jax nodded. "Let's go."

He turned to Vick. "Watch out of civilians, and make sure to stop any of the strays that come out."

Vick nodded. "Good luck out there rookie."

Jax smiled. "Rookie? I'm a better shot than you."

The two laughed as they went their separate way.

"Who was that?" Ren asked.

"Seriously? Do you guys know nothing? He's the commander of the castle archers. He helped me save a village last wave." Naofumi said as he chased after Jax.

"How am I supposed to know that?" Motoyasu complained.

"He got a reward at the last banquet!" Naofumi yelled.

"I was too busy trying to free a slave!" Motoyasu cried back.

"I don't need your help!" Raptalia yelled as she kicked him off the stairs and he plummeted to the ocean below.

"Sir heroooo!" Myne called out as she ran back down the stairs to chase him.

Jax laughed from way up the stairs. "Nice one! 10/10!"
