Chapter 12: Unexpected Foe

Now the human-like figure has more determination than ever now. So, it opened and jumped out of the window. Strat immediately went to his old room in the apartment. He opened the door to it and jumped in on the bed. Just by the bed, he was reminded of more old memories. But during his amusement on his bed like always he gets interrupted by the system.

[ Sebastian looks like the person has settled somewhere]

[ Also, I got more information about the person]

[ I was wrong about the person having a system]

[ The system that they have is the " Death system "]

[ The death system is similar to me because we both have the same leveling up system]

[ But the important thing about the system is you can steal the souls they have and add it to your own ]

"..... Alright let's do this like always," said Strat.

He then stood from his bed and went through the open door. He then met by Greysin who had David in her hands. He went slowly went towards her. Once he got close enough, he then patted her on the head.

" Hey Greysin. I'm going to be somewhere for a while. So please take care of David for a while so remember to feed and wash him," said Strat.

He then opened the door and went through it.

As he walked out, he heard Greysin say," Yes Sebastian," In an excited voice.

He never understood why Greysin was like that when he first made her his subordinate.

[ I got a part in it Strat]

" What do you mean by part of it?" Said Strat out loud to the system.

[ I mean didn't you hear my conversation with the Angel system ]

" Yeah I did. I didn't know the Angel system was your daughter," Said Start.

[ Well yeah, she is technically my biological Daughter.]

[ I married her mother who used to be a system]

" What," he said confused.

[ Yeah, I married a system. You're thinking what system she was and how did she get a human body]

[ Well, the story is pretty straightforward. My wife was the original Angel system and when I got to the max level of the system it gave me a notification. The notification said I could get her a human body]

" Oh," said Strat almost reaching the exit of the mega building.

[ Back to the reason why Greysin is like that. Well, my daughter used to give me a lot of attention to me since she cared about me just like her mother. Once her mother died, she was the next person to inherit the Angel system. The feelings she had before got suppressed some of her old feelings was transferred to Greysin]

As they finished up their conversation the human like figure appeared right in front of Strat. Strat was near his car when it appeared. Strat immediately got in his outfit which had his mask too.

Strat then looked at the human like figure. A sense of familiarity came from it. Strat left himself open so the figure went towards him. As the figure went towards Strat it immediately took a pistol. Due to strat being distracted he was then surprised by bullets coming towards him. He then noticed these aren't regular bullets.

[ God killer bullets! Avoid them quickly ]

Since Strat heard the system warning him. He immediately turned on DT. But even with DT the bullets still had the same speed so he tried increasing the slowed time. It only affected a little. " Motherfucker!" Said Strat. He was then shot in both legs and one of in his shoulders. Strat handled the pain well. Then he saw the system notify him.

[ Status effect: Angels retribution ]

[ The Status effect Angels retribution causes the person who is hit by the bullet to decrease their health exponentially per second ]

" Shit they weren't wrong about it decreasing Health. I can feel it taking away my life." Said Strat.

Strat then felt his mind about to change to his psycho self.

" No. Not yet I can't lose my sanity. I got to pull through this," Thought Strat.

Strat then felt his heart about to stop. So, he immediately dropped to the ground. The figure slowly walked towards Strat.

" Hey Strat. Do you remember me?" Said the human figure.

Strat still on the ground was confused. Due to it being still at night Strat couldn't see the face of it.

" You blind fuck!" Said the figure as it got some light and shined towards its face.

Strat was surprised and angry at the same time when he saw the face.

" It's you. You're the one who fucking killed me," said Strat.

The man then laughed aggressively for some reason.

" I have a name you know it's-" Strat immediately interrupted the man.

" I don't give two fucks who you are. I'm just wondering how you got here," said Strat.

The man looked pissed when Strat interrupted him. During this time Strat's been wasting time since his health is almost finished.

[ Reaching critical health ]

[ Commencing back up health.... Success! ]

Once the message ended Strat felt like his mind changing and his body healing. Strat the stood up and looked down to check if anything else is damaged. After checking he immediately went towards the man and grabbed his head and smashed it on a car. He kept doing that until the car was fully damaged. The man shot a bullet in Strat's stomach but it didn't do anything to him.

Then Strat spoke, " Don't even try those petty tricks. They're not going to work on me," Said Strat as a smile went over his face.

The man was starting to get terrified of Strat. He knew that Strat wasn't normal anymore. Strat still had a firm grip on the man. He then held the body of the man in the air. Strat then proceeded to smash it on the ground. He kept repeating the action until the man couldn't even respond anymore. Strat then received a message from the system.

[ You have defeated the host of the Death System ]

[ Rewards will be distributed in 3 days ]

But I never got to see what the rewards for it, thought Strat.

( Authors note: Well I'm back to post more chapters! I wasn't able to fix every chapter I've posted but I'll continue on my own pace. Next post will be about the side effects of the cybernetics Strat has. Also I'm making another novel but that one will kinda have slow updates maybe. )
