Chapter 1 A Proper Vessel

A boy in his 20s tried to reach for the alarm from his cellphone which had been ringing for a long time. His eyes didn't open at all, he felt a tremendous drowsiness. However, because he was reminded of something he was forced to slightly open his eyes.

Arnold Golder his name. The boy with an introverted personality has an appearance that really describes if he is a quiet person. With shoulder-length black hair that looks wavy, messy with tossed bangs that almost cover his eyes. sunken eyes and thin cheeks graced his face. His body is also quite thin, weighing 50 kg and 180 cm tall making him look very weak.

Five years ago, his appearance was not what it is now. Arnold is the only child of a world's top company owner. However, after the tragic death of his parents and the possibility of sabotage in their death, Arnold's life began to change drastically. He did not receive a penny of his rights and was forced to survive the cruel world alone.

"Hhh...what time is it? It seems I've been reading too much of that book lately to lose track of time. Maybe that's the reason why I feel that I always look exhausted," Arnold complained to himself.

Arnold looked surprised after his eyes looked at the clock on the wall in his room.

"9.15 am? Damn, I'll be late for class this morning"

Arnold blamed himself for deliberately staying up late last night to read a book that so captivated him.

"If I hadn't read that book all night. I would have been to campus since this morning," he complained. Even though he knew, this morning's lecturer was the fiercest lecturer in his faculty.

Arnold quickened his movement. He just changed his clothes and immediately left for campus without paying the slightest attention to his appearance.

Arnold looked at one of his campus hallways and saw that the killer lecturer he meant seemed to have been teaching his class for a long time. He gives up to enter the class.

[Arnold sighs]

"It's a waste of time for me to rush to campus. Looks like I'll be spending time in the library until my next class"

Arnold Golder is a sophomore. He was an ordinary student. Three days ago Arnold found a strange book in the library. The book has a rather odd title, Book of Pandaemonium. Before he found the book, Arnold was not the type of person who could read books for long. But ever since he found the book, he can barely let it go

Arnold's eyes stared intently at sentence after sentence, his fingers deftly turning page after page. Because he was too focused on his book, Arnold did not know that far behind him stood a beautiful girl.

The girl was looking at Arnold with raised eyebrows. The look on her face explained that this girl was angry, "How can this kid casually read books here. Since when did he become such a geek"

The sound of the high heels she was wearing broke the silence in the library. Arriving right behind the boy, this girl patted the man's shoulder and screamed a little.

"Arnold Golder!!

The girl said in a slightly high-pitched voice until she was out of breath. Everyone in the library even turned their heads towards the voice. Arnold also stopped the book he was reading. His eyes fell on the girl, before long he closed the book he was reading and clasped his hands together.

"He...hee...hee, I'm sorry. I forgot to bring my cellphone, I also didn't forget about it. The promise to gather at the park with friends is still an hour away, right?" Arnold replied while looking at a watch on the girl's hand.

Elina Victoria this girl's name. One of the popular girls on campus. She has shoulder-length black hair. With her ideal body, beautiful face, good attitude and inner beauty and smart brain, it's no wonder many people like her. Elina is Arnold's classmate and childhood friend.

Without replying to Arnold's words, suddenly Elina pulled the boy's shirt so that he almost fell from the chair he was sitting in. But Arnold tried to compensate with his body reflexes.

"Come with me. Everyone has gathered and is waiting in the park. You are the only one who hasn't come yet," said Elina with an annoyed expression.

"I want to tell him that I can walk on my own, but it seems better to be quiet," said Arnold to himself, he didn't want to prolong the problem with Elina.

Arnold walked with resigned steps following where Elina pulled him. Behind the two humans, the book that had been lying in a closed position moved by itself and opened the last page he had read.

They passed aisle after aisle until they arrived at the campus park, the rest of their friends were waiting. Joseph Landus and Sarah Aina waved their hands at the two of them. Landus is a man who has a large body and broad chest, he has blonde hair. He is the leader of the judo team. Landus had the wisest and most authoritative demeanor of all of them.

Meanwhile, Sarah Aina is a cute girl with ponytail ponies who is very easygoing and cheerful.

"Hahahaha....you're finally coming too. We got tired of waiting for you," Gilbert Jonah mocked Arnold. The man with the nickname of this beautiful guy is very famous for having a death rag. His handsome face and physique are also able to paralyze all the girls he wants to date.

Then Abraham Vayne, the student president stood up and approached Arnold.

"Arnold, what book is that? Sounds interesting, did you rent it from the library? Since when did you like reading books?"

Arnold was confused by the words that came out of Vayne's mouth. When he saw the left side of his hand, his eyes widened, and he was very surprised. As he recalled, he did not bring the book and put it on the table. But now, the book is in his left hand.

Out of curiosity, Sarah also rose from her seat and took the book from Arnold's hand. He also had time to read the title of the book and opened a few pages.

"Haaah?? The Book of Pandaemonium? A very strange title. It's also about fantasy and adventure stories. I just found out if you like this kind of book"

Arnold didn't understand why he was annoyed by what Sarah said to him. Suddenly he snatched the book by force from Sarah's hand. After the book arrived in his hands, suddenly the book opened by itself. Page after page passed and quickly the book gave off a blinding light.

"What wind is this? What with this blinding light? Damn… I can't see anything," Arnold complained.
