001-The beginning of the plot

"Oof!" Jake sighed for the third time since starting to work out the fiefdom paperwork he had to do today. Of the seven piles of papers Jake had to sort out today Jake had only sorted out too, the problem was that it was already three in the afternoon. The day was coming to an end and Jake could already see that he would once again stay overnight to solve the fiefdom's problems.

Jake was twenty-three, years old this year, with mint green eyes and dark brown hair, as well as a muscular physique training. Jake was also tall, measuring six feet three inches. Jake can be considered a handsome man, especially the opposite sex. To add to that Jake had a bright future ahead of him as he was going to marry the second princess of the kingdom, he was the lord of a prosperous fiefdom, rich in resources and far from problematic borders, this was the Aldcrest fiefdom which Jake ruled with the Duke's position.

The hierarchical positions of human kingdoms and empires were from the most important to the least important Emperor/King » Duke » Count » Viscount » Baron.

Jake was halfway through the third stack of papers when he heard the knock on his office door.

"Knock Knock"

"I hope it matters"

"Brother is me"

"You can come on Peter, the door is open"

When the door opened Jake could see his brother with a worried face.

Jake's brother was eighteen years old and like his brother, he also had dark brown hair and mint eyes, but unlike Jake he didn't have a defined physique and was a hand shorter than Jake.

"What's the matter with you looking like that, Peter?""It's serious brother the second princess was attacked by bandits while she was coming here"

Jake and the second princess' engagement were decided Jake's father died fighting demons during the last demon invasion.

A Demonic Invasion was when demons managed to break through the Humanity Army's lines of defense.

The royal family saw the death of Jake's father as an opportunity to seize part of the lands and resources of the Aldcrest fiefdom by marrying one of their daughters his heir in this case Jake. Unfortunately for the royal family, things didn't go as expected. Jake was not naive and did not become a puppet of the royal family, despite the efforts of those who offered the hand of the second princess who was said to be one of the most beautiful women on the continent. Even worse was that the second princess ended up falling in love with Jake, due to which their engagement went ahead.

The Eyozosha kingdom was a feudal kingdom, due to this the royal family had to compete with the nobles for land and resources, despite having a great advantage as no noble would say no to the royal family but, if the royal family abused it too much its power there could be a revolution. Because of this, the royal family used methods such as marriage to take over the lands and resources of the nobles.

So when Jake heard those words he jumped out of his chair and said to his brother.

"Indicate the way we will rescue her immediately and exterminate these bandits"

Peter, hearing those words, led the way with an evil smile on his lips that Jake didn't notice. Everything was going according to plan.
