Chapter 8

The next morning, Tyler woke up to the sound of gunfire in the distance. He sat up, rubbing his eyes, and saw Sarah and David already packing their things.

"We need to move, Tyler," Sarah said, grabbing her backpack. "The government's forces are getting closer."

Tyler jumped up and grabbed his own backpack. "Alright, let's go," he said, following them out of the tent.

As they made their way out of the camp, Tyler could see smoke rising in the distance. The government had launched a counter-attack, and they needed to get out of there as quickly as possible.

They ran through the mountains, dodging rocks and debris, their hearts pounding in their chests. Tyler knew they had to find a new safe place to regroup and plan their next move.

After several hours of running, they stumbled upon a small town. It was mostly deserted, with only a few people huddled in their homes. They approached a small group of people and Tyler asked, "What happened here? Why is everyone hiding?"

The group of people looked at each other before a woman stepped forward. "The government's forces came through here a few days ago," she said, her voice shaking. "They took some of our people, and those who resisted were killed."

Tyler clenched his fists, anger rising inside him. He couldn't believe that the government would do something like this, but then again, he knew they were capable of anything.

"We need to find a way to fight back," David said, his eyes blazing with determination.

Sarah nodded. "But first, we need to regroup and make a plan," she said. "We can't just charge in blindly."

Tyler agreed. They needed to be smart about their next move if they wanted to have any chance of success. But he also knew that time was running out. The government's grip on the world was tightening, and they had to act fast if they wanted to make a difference.
