CHAPTER 31 - LEAVING

After completing a full set of exercises he was happy with the improvements he had seen in his body, if he kept going at this rate he'll soon be stronger than the lecturers at the academy.

The days went by as everyone life remained the same, a week had passed and it was time for the four students to leave the city.

Standing at the gate of the city were Micheal, Daniel, Anita, Scarlett, the lecturers, and the city lord.

Rather than the plain school attire that they wore, they were given clothes made by the best tailors in the city with good materials.

Each of them had a bag behind them carrying some of their stuffs.

"The carriage will be here soon, have some patience" the city lord said as he saw signs of hurrying in their faces.

After his words they felt vibrations on the floor, and heard some the noise of crowds walking.

Soon they saw it from a distance, a large carriage, it was embedded with gold crystal and had designs drawn all around it.

Eight large wolfs were tied to it, moving the large carriage, and they could all feel a very strong aura emanating from the carriage.

They could hardly move,they felt a power pressuring every fiber in thier bodies, the power emanating from the carriage was far above the city lord.

Not only was the person in the carriage strong, the wolves moving it were also strong, the students didn't even think they had a chance at surviving the wolves if it attacked them.

"The carriage has arrived," the city lord said out loud, as a cold sweat ran down his back.

Sweat ran through the students body as the carriage drew closer, the rest of them could barely stand as they were almost kneeling except Daniel, he was absorbing the force of the pressure into his body as he barely stood.

Since his awakening, he hadn't found an exorbitant amount of force to absorb, and at the moment he could only absorb force that acts on him, not allowing him to absorb forces of nature.

So although he was feeling pain, in Neely he was thankful for the pressure the carriage was emanating.

Finnaly the carriage stopped, and that aura disappeared like it never existed.

The door of the carriage was opened, and a young lady stepped outside.

They could feel the earth moving as steps for her to walk, they couldn't believe it, this was the first time they had seen a mage and they saw her control the earth by just walking.

"Greetings senior," she said as she gave a light bow.

"Senior! that means she's younger, how is she so strong then?" They all had the same thoughts, because they have been told that mages could make themselves younger the stronger they are.

She looked at the students who had stood up already and let out a small smile, "so these are the geniuses of this city, there are a lot of them this year."

"Let's not waste more time so we'll be on our way, by the way my master said he was busy so he couldn't come and pick them up this time," she said to the city lord.

The students offloaded their backpacks into the storage system of the carriage and stepped into the carriage.

Gold plaited interiors, the chairs were softer than anything they had sat on, just sitting there made thier whole body relaxed and calmed thier minds.

Not long after, the lady entered the carriage, she wore an emerald dress with her hair packed behind.

She emitted the natural scent of nature around her, she sat at the front of the carriage.

Immediately the carriage started moving, then they felt the pressurizing aura emanate from her again, and In the next moment it disappeared.

She didn't speak to them, she just glanced at Anita and Micheal then turned her face back to the front.

Back in the city, the city lord was speaking with the instructors back at his house.

"I hope this group of children will excel and become high-ranking mages," he said.

The instructors too wanted them to become strong mages, as they would be known as teachers of mages, and it would also bring an extra layer of protection to the city, guarding it from surrounding monsters.

The rest of the students who weren't picked, watched in regret as the carriage moved and left their sights.

In the carriage, Daniel and Micheal were whispering to each other, "My mother was very sad as I told her the news of me leaving, although she was sad she knew she had to let me leave as it was detrimental to my strength," Micheal whispered in a sad tone.

Daniel couldn't relate to him as he had lost his parents at a young age, and all he could say was sorry.

He turned and also saw Scarlett with a downtrodden face, it seemed she also had a similar problem with Micheal.

He wasn't that close to her so he didn't say anything.

Both Micheal and Daniel quieted down, Micheal just sat in silence while Daniel tried moving the force in his body in a specific pattern.

Through days of research, he had found out that rather than just moving force to one part of the body when attacking, he could move force through his whole body balanced, and when attacking he could add a little extra to the attack.

But if he meets with a very strong enemy, he could just put them all into his arms to attack, but that would cause the destruction of his arms.

He had been trying to move the force around his body in a specific pattern to give it balance, but he could hardly do it, the force in his body hardly moved to some part, only flowing freely to his arms and legs.

He had an enormous amount of force in his body, but he was only able to make use of a minuscule amount.

If properly controlled he would be stronger than the lecturers at the academy.
