Deanna's Condition

Deanna looked at Sean's face somewhat absentmindedly, thinking that this was the man she'd been waiting for those fifteen years. His face was not crushed in this life, and his legs were fine. It was truly extraordinary.

Compared to the ones she had met in her previous life, this Sean didn't look like the same person at all. Sean is handsome, tall, strong, and looks absolutely perfect. Deanna's eyes became wet as she thought about their past lives. It brought complex emotions into her heart.

"Does it hurt?" Sean guiltily looked at the teary Deanna, thinking she was crying because she had body aches.

Deanna shook her head, indicating that she didn't feel any pain in her body.

"Do not be afraid. The doctor has done a thorough examination of your body. You don't have any wounds other than your forehead, so once it heals you'll be fine." Sean soothed her gently.

Deanna nodded slightly, then closed her eyes and fell back asleep.

Sean asked the hospital to provide the best room for Deanna and the best treatment. For the next few days, Deanna could only rest in bed and undergo various examinations of her head. The doctors also reassured Deanna that they would use the best medicine to ensure no scars were left on the woman's forehead.

Deanna felt there was no difference between staying in a hotel room and staying in the hospital, with room service and Sean coming in every day. She only regretted that she missed the entrance exam for Royal Albert University, the university she wanted to be a place to study. She had originally thought that once she changed Sean's fate on this mountain, she would have time to go back and take the entrance exam. She didn't expect to be injured and had to stay for tests and treatment.

"Thank you for saving me." Sean thanked Deanna again.

"You already know who I am, don't you?" Deanna sat on the bed, watching Sean.

Sean, of course, knew everything about Deanna, including her relationship with Austin. When he saw the information about Deanna, he was quite surprised by coincidence. The person who saved him was Austin's ex-girlfriend, and they had broken up unpleasantly.

What confused him was Deanna shouldn't be in this state at the time. After all, it was the time when the universities started their entrance exams in London. But Deanna had appeared here, and it was as if she had come specifically just to save him.

"How do you want me to repay you?" Sean asked Deanna.

"Reply to me?" Deanna didn't even think about it.

"You saved my life, so I have to avenge that deed. As long as it's something I can do, I'll help you." Sean thought if he fell from that mountain, even if he were lucky, he would lose half of his life. More than anything, he disliked being in debt the most. Let alone a life-saving debt, so he had to pay it back.

"I... I'll tell you after I think about it." Deanna felt like summoning a genie in a lamp. After all, there were so many things the leader of the Johnson family could do, so she had to think about it.

"I have to go back to London tomorrow to take care of some important matters. Do you want to go home with me, or do you want to stay here to recuperate before returning?" Sean asked.

"I'll be back with you." Deanna answered immediately. Since Sean is back in London, what's the point of staying?

Sean finds out that Deanna has sold her house, so she is homeless, and her relationship with her family is troubled. Deanna is injured in rescuing him, and Sean is obligated to take care of her post-injury recovery. According to Sean's character, he should have sent Deanna to the hotel, then let his people take care of her until she fully recovered.

But when he saw Deanna's deer-like eyes look moist and her expression pathetic from injury, he felt a softness that surprised even himself. In the end, he decided to take Deanna home and take care of her in person.

Deanna is also surprised that Sean would take her back to the Johnson family home on Mount Wallace. When she thought about her plans for the future, she didn't realize how pathetic she looked in Sean's eyes.

Sean explained to the head housekeeper, Mr. Mark, that Deanna would stay at the main house for a while. The housekeeper will take good care of Deanna until she recovers, and a hospital check says there are no problems.

Although it was the Johnson family's main home, it was not the Johnson family's property. Instead, Sean bought it, and the entire Wallace Mountain is Sean's private property. Deanna thought that since Sean had invited her to live there, she could relax and live in peace. She also wanted to see Austin's expression once he found out he lived there.

Deanna, however, had dated Austin and was quite familiar with the man's character. Austin was raised by his grandfather and only returned to the Johnson family home when he was an adult. He had his own house outside and didn't come home to the Johnson residence daily. In addition, the Johnson family home is also very large. So that even if they were under the same roof, they might not meet. Deanna thought she would stay there for at least a few days before seeing Austin.

However, Austin suddenly appeared while Deanna and Sean were having breakfast together the next morning. He looked like he wanted to say something to Sean, but when he saw Deanna, he stopped in surprise.

"What are you doing here?" Austin asked as soon as he came back to his senses. "Who allowed you to come here?"

Deanna didn't answer, instead deliberately looking at Sean with innocent and helpless eyes.

"She is my guest whom I invited to stay here. Do you want to say something about it?" Sean looked at Austin coldly.

Austin, taken aback by Sean's words, said angrily, "Dad, what did she tell you? I broke up with her. And whatever she says, it's a lie. Don't believe her!"

"I know she broke up with you. She here has nothing to do with you, so you don't have to care about that. If you don't want to see her, then don't come back here." Sean hated Austin's mother and grandparents, even Austin himself. But it wasn't yet time to reveal that he wasn't Sean's real son.

"Father, you must not let her stay here! You have no idea what kind of person she is…."

"For the last time I say, she is my guest. If you dare continue to be rude to her, don't enter this house even half a step."

Sean's face showed no expression, not even anger. But this lack of emotion scared Austin even more than usual. Not daring to say anything, he could only clench his fists and glared at Deanna.

"Mr. Johnson..." Deanna looked at Sean and said, "Austin doesn't want to see me, and I don't want to see him either. Why not just let me stay in the hotel?"

"You just stay here and don't need to go anywhere."
