Ch 1- The disappearance

"The past is past, learn to move on" is what people always say. But the truth is... No one can move on... It is an emotion which cannot be overwritten by the mind. A feeling that will always stay at every step of our lives.

My name is Bemo. I have no family. I'm a single 25-year-old trying to learn magic. Pathetic, I know. People will probably think I've gone insane...and I don't blame them either but.... I saw something that made me believe in magic....

It wasn't always like this... To be honest, I was a very passionate boy. Getting first place was a guarantee in every possible sport I play. Time's changed now since that very moment....

FINAL DAY OF THE SPORTS WEEK.

This event is a very dear time to me. It took place in junior high school. The school hall was filled with students, teachers and parents. Even a famous singer came to bless us with her melodic voice. Soon it was the end of the ceremony, and it was time for the football awards...

....The second place goes to...konyak! Congratulations, konyak came onto the stage. Give him a round of applause everyone. Next is the winner of the football match!!

Woooooooo!!!

Wooohoo!(Everyone exclaims).

Ahemm... So.... The mvp of the match and first place goes to..... Bemoo!! (Everyone screams)

"I told you i told you hahaha"

"Everyone knew he was going to win. Quite blathering"

*Chatter Chatter*

The match ended 3-2 in the finals and my team won thanks to me scoring all 3 goals. I was also nominated for the MVP of the game.

I went to the resting room to get some rest.

Hey Bemo! You did really great! Congrats!".

Kana approached me in the resting room. I met Kana online through flickbook. We have been friends since then.

"Ah thanks Kana, you did pretty good too."

She only distributed food, but that's actually insane for her to do haha.

"What do you mean?"

She's a hothead and a real funny girl. She's the type to always do the opposite of what the teachers say.

"Distributing the food I mean hahaha"

"Hahaha they forced me" kana exclaimed.

"It makes it funnier that you listened to them whahaha"

She acts rude and always mischievous, but she's a kind girl deep down...

"Shut up! Before I knock your head off!" Kana shouts.

Ahem.... I took back what I said before...

Anyways, she was my only girl-friend. Not really romantic or anything. We were best friends.

We grew up together, days turned to months, months turned to years. She always cheered for me at my games. Thanks to her, I always won. I started to fall in love with her as the years went by. I hate this part of my story... She never told me where she lived, never got to know her true feelings and..... I might never be able to see her again....

On a pitch, black night kana was standing outside my apartment. She looked tense, so I rushed down...

"Kana, what's wrong!?" I exclaimed.

She looked at me with eyes so close to me yet so distant. Her lips were trembling. Her eyes were tears that she was holding back.

"What hap-"..

Right then. I was frozen in place. I wasn't able to move any part of my body. Let alone speak. It was as if time had stopped moving for me.

She uttered the word "REWIND" and disappeared right in front of my eyes. And I was able to move right then. I rushed to her disappearing body with disbelief.

"Kana!!!!" I screamed at the top of my lungs.

"When will you come back? Kana!?" i cried.

I didn't know what had happened, but I believed she would come back.

I waited for days, months and years, but to no avail.

That was when I saw true magic for the first time in my life. I wished this whole thing was just a very long dream.

To this day.... I still don't know what she meant by "rewind" but I never forgot her last words to me.

It's been 6 years since she disappeared. I left college. I completely shut myself in. I had no one left in my life. My father was a wealthy man, but he died when I was 8, even before I met Kana. He had a lot of apartments in the city and I inherited them all. My mother is still unknown to me.

PRESENT DAY DREAMING

"Hey Be...hey Bem... Bemo!" A distant, familiar voice pierced through the air, gradually becoming clearer with each repetition.

Imsong turned around, his heart pounding with a mix of shock and disbelief. "KANA!?" he exclaimed, his voice filled with hope and confusion.

But Kana wasn't actually calling out to Bemo. A massive screen that looked like a shattered mirror showed up. An adult kana was calling out to her husband. Which was Bemo at his adult age.

The room was pitch black and only the massive shattered screen was looming around. Soon after... A smaller shattered screen showed up. They grew in numbers in a rapid way. They didn't stop growing in number. Maybe it goes on for infinite?

These smaller screens were different from the massive screens. It showed the past moments of Bemo and Kana's shared memory. A sense of urgency gripped him as he realized that each sequence on the screen seemed to end with Kana's mysterious disappearance and the sequence started with "the final day of the sports week".

The significance of these screens wasn't immediately apparent to Bemo. Were they memories? Visions of an alternate reality? Or something else entirely?

There was also this word that always kept repeating on the smaller screens.

"REWIND"

"REWIND"

"REWIND"

"REWIND"

"I feel so hopeless right now... Kana... If you can hear me, please help me out. I really miss you. I want to see you again. I can never forget you."

Bemo was replied with utter silence....

*Crek*

*Crek*

*Crek*

Bemo looked up. The screens were shattering. He looks down and the floor was also shattering...

Bemo and kana were best friends until one day kana disappeared right infront of his eyes. Follow bemo on his journey to unravel the mysteries of kana's sudden disappearance.
