Tier 3

~Six months later~

I am now an initial Tier 3 Gu master, the clan reward me a Tier 3 Gu and free access to the Tier 1 and 2 inheritances, The inheritance may not be the most comprehensives but when you are settling in the same spot for the last two hundred thousand years, it basically encompasses every Gu, Gu materials, experimentation, and Gu refinement possible for those Gu.

I first upgrade my Short Lived Time Gu to Tier 3, along with my Amplify Effect Gu since the extra reward of my last mission get me the hardest Gu to find to refine it. I have now three Tier 3 Gu, Short Lived Time Gu, Amplify Effect Gu and my new one the Ethereal Time Gu.

The Ethereal Time Gu is of course a Time path one that permit is user to fly freely in space like Time do outside of its River.

With my new time Gu, I didn't need the Tier 2 Rock Climbing Gu, so I sold it after applying the effect a last time with the Tier 3 Amplify Effect to boot. Because even if I don't have the Gu as long as I don't remove the effect of my special ability it stays infinitely.

And with that I just need to upgrade my offensive Gu to Tier 3 to finally be able to survive easily out there. Because when I upgrade my Gus to Tier 3, I would be able to exert Tier 4 might even if for a short time. Unfortunately, the Crystal Eye Gu is too common and the resources for its upgrade are too scarce, so I choose to apply it a last time with the boost Tier 3 and sell it for a good price.

~Three months later~

After returning from a mandatory mission, I was finally able to find the resources necessary for the upgrade of the Poisonous Spider Gu to Tier 3 after failing it eight time in the last three months. My last mission was an easy and fast one just a Tier 2 ant nest that start forming. The Tier 3 Poisonous Spider Gu create an 8-meter radius fog upon impact. And with that I also brought a metal path Tier 2 Iron Spear Gu that let me throw an iron spear at my enemies, the single point damage is more powerful than a Tier 3 poisonous fog if I ever encounter a beast more defensive than usual.

Since I had free time, I decide to take an exploration mission, the content of the mission is simple, you just need to cartography a new part of the underground. With my Gus it's basically an easy task since can easily evade or escape from nearly all Tier of beasts. The only thing I took outside of the basic kit for camping and rations are the Gu materials for the upgrade of my One With Space and Pocket Space Gu, because the underground is so full of space path materials that I could swear I'm below Ascending Heaven Plain.

I start my exploration with some new Gu masters from last year, to help them accommodate with the tunnel network and how to survive in it. With my specialization in underground mission and my close to a hundred percent complete mission, I am quite the reference for teaching newbie.

We separate after half a month since they complete their mission and mine was quite far away. The lads were good, they remind me of myself during my first outing with my father to train fighting against monster.

I continue navigating till I reach the end of my map, then I took out the cartography materials given by the tribe when I accept the mission. I draw the tunnel and write what kind of resource and beast you can find in each tunnel and rock room. I saw many rock rooms with different eco system, I saw a jade forest, a room with multicolour crystals everywhere, a room so dark than even my enchanted eyesight had a hard time fortunately I had a Tier 1 Echolocation Gu I use when it's too dark, unfortunately this Gu is useless in fight or even repeated use because it gives a headache like none other.

After two weeks of cartography the network I found an enormous room with many space path Gu materials and beast, some of the beasts look like rabbits but with a teleportation ability. They were so many space path materials than the space inside the room became harder to cross, like you were walking a hundred meter under the sea as a mortal. I hypothesize that the density of Dao mark in this room was so high that the space toughens and reject everything that isn't space or time. With so many Dao mark the probability of me finding the resources I need to upgrade my Gu is high and if I'm lucky I may even be able to find some immortal Gu materials.

The search took me a long time because I needed to dodge the Tier 5 beasts and the space reduces my movement speed. I found what I needed for my upgrades and even most of the Gu materials for they rank up to Tier 4 and I am sure that when I became Tier 4, I will be able to explore the space guard by Tier 5 beasts. I still didn't find anything Immortal grade probably because I can't approach the middle of the room due to the beats and distorted space.

The more I explore this place, the more I feel like there something amiss here, it was as if I weren't in the original room anymore. Well probably my mortal perception is being played by the Dao mark.

After packing I left the room to find the safe cave I found before and start preparing for my Gu refinement.
