Why?

Did they want me for something or did they want something FROM me? I shiver as I think of the possibilities.. Them killing me in some grand ritual to take my power... I walk back to the bed scoop up fig and lay down, refusing to keep thinking about that possibility. All the fantasy books/novels I've read in the past about evil witches making me shudder.

My imagination is turning out to be my worst enemy. I shut my eyes tightly willing myself to slow my breathing and to calm down. After walking the room several times and running my hands up and down every square inch I plop down in defeat. It had felt like hours had past but I had no way of really telling. The small room didn't even have a window making it impossible to even tell if it was day or night.

I lay on the bed staring at the dark ceiling as Fig curls up next to me "I'll protect you no matter what Syn, I promise you.." Fig says and my eyes sting. "The best way to protect me Fig is to stay hidden and alive. I won't be able to take it if something were to happen to you.. promise me Fig.." Fig stays quiet for a long time before saying "I promise.." Sleep finally claims me as I try my hardest not to cry like a big baby.

I'm startled awake by the large door unlocking and opening as Keen walks in with a smirk. "My lord wants to see you.." He prowls over grabbing my arm and roughly pulling me up. Fig hides himself in my hair against my neck. "I can walk myself!" I say as I try to pull my arm away. He seems to take pleasure in watching me struggle and continues to drag me.

I really hate this ass hat.. he drags me to a circle made by different colored stones and writing I don't recognize. The circle begins to glow and instantly we're brought to a brightly lit room with several older fae women. "Clean her up for his lordship and watch her closely." An older woman with hard eyes and slightly blue skin walks forward placing chains around my wrist and ankles.

I frown but can't do anything with Keen holding me. Once the chains were on Keen realeases his bruising grip and pushes me forward for good measure. I turn and glare and he returns it with a satisfied smirk. I was suddenly pulled forward hard, nearly falling as the old lady drags me to another room.

The sight of a large bathroom and several other women waiting has me stalling and stubbling to a stop. The old lady dragging me turns to look at me and she sees the look of question saying "You need to be clean for him and we will make sure you are clean enough." .... "OH HELL NO!!" I yell as I try to pull away "Just kill me now!" I yell again as she tightens her grip on the chains draging my ass like a mother would a flailing child.
