Elizabeth askes Master Li to do a DNA test
Elizabeth sighed deeply and rang the bell on her desk.
A minute later, there was a knock on the door.
"Come in," Elizabeth said.
"You called for me, my dear queen?" Allen asked, bowing his head as he entered.
"Please bring Master Li Yuhai here once he's done treating that girl," Elizabeth instructed.
"Yes, my dear queen," Allen replied. As he was about to leave, Elizabeth called him back.
"Allen, send some headache medicine for me and some snacks for these people. They've been standing here since morning," Elizabeth added.
"Of course," Allen said, then left.
A few minutes later, maids served light snacks. As they were nearly done eating, there was another knock on the door, and Master Li Yuhai entered.
"Your Majesty, you called for me?" Master Li Yuhai asked.
"Yes, Master Li. First, can you let me know how the girl is?" Elizabeth inquired.
"Her vitals are stable at the moment, Your Majesty. I believe the antidote I administered has worked, but I can't guarantee when exactly she might wake up, as I've never treated a human affected by Dragon poison," Master Li Yuhai replied.
"Dragon poison?!" Liam exclaimed, shocked. He thought to himself, "That is deadly to us Dragon warriors as well. Why did they use that on her?"
"Yes, Third Prince, it was Dragon poison," Master Li confirmed. Turning to Elizabeth, he continued, "I'm actually very surprised by how her body suppressed the poison on its own. My antidote merely assisted on the sidelines."
"What?" Elizabeth asked, shocked.
"Yes, Your Majesty. It was as if her body was immune to the poison. There are two possibilities: either humans are not affected by Dragon poison, or she is an exceptionally powerful Dragon warrior whose body can withstand that amount of poison," Master Li Yuhai explained.
After a few seconds, he added, "However, I believe the second possibility is unlikely, as I checked her using my spiritual energy and found no powers in her."
Elizabeth was silent for a few moments before speaking. "Master Li, I called you here for a very important matter. What we discuss here must not leave this room."
Master Li Yuhai nodded in agreement.
"I want you to conduct a DNA test on that girl with my sample," Elizabeth said.
"Your Majesty… You mean she…"
Before Master Li Yuhai could finish, Elizabeth said, "There is a suspicion, but I am not sure."
