The Number One

Mikha'el's face almost dropped to the floor. She was stunned, shocked, and flabbergasted at Damon's plans for her.

"You'll do great!" Damon gave Mikha'el a thumbs-up while standing before her as a watcher.

They went to the city of Acedia, and Damon dragged Mikha'el to the center of the plaza where the gigantic statue of the Wind God stood tall.

"Why are we here? What should I do?" Mikha'el whispered aggressively. She hadn't been around humans for long years, and being placed in a huge crowd was a total nightmare for her.

Mikha'el's legs started to shake in nervousness and anxiety. She didn't know what to do as Damon hadn't said any instructions to her.

"Today, you'll be known to the crowd as Number One. This is the start of your revenge! World domination! Haha!" Damon laughed crazily. His eyes quivered as if he had been drugged overdose.

Damon had planned what to do last night, and he hadn't slept at all while preparing for today's play. He had used the Otherworldly Shop and spent the last pera he had to buy a cassette tape and player with solar to produce electricity.

"How is this even relevant to my revenge?" Mikha'el whispered in distress. She wanted to run away and hide in the broken tower, but she knew Damon wouldn't let that happen.

"Let's go, Number One. I know you can do it!" Damon grinned, ignoring Mikha'el's question, and clicked the cassette player that played random elegant music style.

The music's beat echoed in the plaza. Although it wasn't that loud, it was enough to gather attention from the passersby.

After all, it was a plaza, and many people were hanging around.

Mikha'el couldn't believe what she just heard. It was an unfamiliar and weird music. She had a hint of what Damon wanted her to do, but she hesitated due to embarrassment.

"What kind of music is that?" Mikha'el asked and tried to step away from the center, but Damon held his hand to stop her.

"You don't need to know," Damon replied and stepped back as several people stopped by to know what was happening.

Damon smirked and started clapping.

"Ah, she's about to dance!" Damon shouted to notify everyone, including Mikha'el.

Mikha'el opened her mouth to disagree. She looked at the forming crowd and felt the pressure in the air. Seeing the amount of people anticipating her performance forced her to do what Damon wanted.

'For my revenge. I will try my best!' Mikha'el thought while clenching her fists tightly. She breathed deeply to calm her nerves and started moving.

Mikha'el lifted her arms and swayed like the waves of the ocean. She twirled and let her hips seduce the crowd's eyes.

The music was refined, so Mikha'el tried to match the energy. She moved her arms and feet to compliment the beat using her ancient knowledge about the art of dance and music.

Although Mikha'el didn't have the chance to learn it, her memories were as clear as the sky during a good weather. She only needed to visualize and copy them.

Damon's eyes widened in astonishment. He expected Mikha'el to have some talent, but it still amazed him to see it.

"The music is unique. I've never heard it before."

"Are they performers from other Nations? Her moves are so graceful."

"Who is that woman? She looks wonderful, but her clothes…"

Damon nodded his head in satisfaction upon hearing the compliments and opinions of those around him. Although, he understood that Mikha'el's clothes didn't match her fantastic performance at all.

"I'll promise to buy you better clothes when I have money," Damon whispered to himself while feeling guilty. He had forgotten to buy Mikha'el cute dresses for the performance as his focus was on the music.

Damon watched Mikha'el's show and couldn't help but be amazed at her skills. His eyes were stuck on her, and followed each of her movements. It was mesmerizing.

After three minutes, the music stopped, and Mikha'el was done with her performance.

Everyone clapped loudly, and several of them started throwing pera at Mikha'el to show their appreciation.

"Thank you!" Mikha'el exclaimed and curtsied at them. Her anxiety was replaced with inner rage, and all she wanted to do was dig a grave for Damon after what he had done to her.

The crowd started to disperse as the show was over.

"That was wonderful," Damon stated while clapping. He turned off the cassette player and discretely put the items inside the inventory, using his body as a shield to prevent anyone from seeing it.

Mikha'el crossed her arms and stepped closer to Damon. She had a smile on her face, but her aura couldn't hide how pissed she was.

"Master…" Mikha'el stated sternly, trying to keep it cool since they were in public.

"We'll talk later. Let's have a good meal for now," Damon grinned while collecting the pera from the ground and showing it to Mikha'el. He had a broad smile since that answered some of their financial problems.

Mikha'el pouted. Even though she was pissed, she couldn't help but feel warm on the inside, knowing someone was taking care of her instead of another way around.

"Okay, but you need to explain everything to me," Mikha'el stated and turned her head to the side to show she was sulking.

"Okay, I will," Damon grinned and gestured for Mikha'el to follow him. "When I went here, I saw many stalls that sell high-quality dishes. I want you to taste them, too," he added.

Mikha'el's eyes widened, and her cheeks blushed into a pinkish color. "O-of course! I worked hard to earn those peras as well!" she exclaimed.

"Alright, then let's go!" Damon grinned and immediately walked toward the market's location.

Mikha'el followed behind. She glanced at the side where the thick bush planted on the vase stood. A man in a teal uniform sat beside it with a sly smile on his lips.

"Hmm," Mikha'el hummed. She noticed the man had been staring at them for a while, even before the performance. Although she found it creepy, it wasn't unusual since their faces weren't that familiar.

"The food won't wait for us!" Damon shouted from afar and gestured for Mikha'el to hurry up.

"They will," Mikha'el sighed while shaking her head. She ignored the man's gaze and focused her attention on her Master instead.

"I never made friends drinking milk."
