Two years later, Amethyst Evans had settled but nothing changed. She was still being chased by her nightmarish past that keeps her health declining every time the end of the year would come. What was the purpose of running away then? If she can't leave the clutches of their betrayal? "Don't throw your life so easily when others are trying to hold on to theirs but couldn't stop the fact that they are losing it." Just as she had decided to let go, these words were like a curse that made her stay alive for another few years. Five years later, with a twist of fate she ended up becoming the assistant of her sickly neighbor, Scarlet Miller, in her path to creating her final project in this life. It was not her intention to get close to them or to find out that it was her Scarlet's brother, Slate Miller, who left her those words of curse back then. She Cried And Cried

" This is perfect to the cold weather," Amethyst commented after she had drunk her third glass.

"I see the you aren't a light drinker," Slate said after seeing her still being clear headed.

Some were already muddle headed on their second glass.

"Not a light drinker but not a heavy drinker as well," she shrugged.

"Why did you buy this anyway? Is it because of what happened in the hospital today?" she asked afterwards.

"Maybe but I just felt like drinking as well," he replied raising his glass for a toast.

Both of them weren't talking about anything heavy, they just talked about random stuffs that the atmosphere was very light.

For the two of them who are going through so much, this is the best atmosphere they could ask for from one another.

They didn't need the sympathy of those around them but simply the accompaniment of someone they can be comfortable and at peace with.

"Are you coming? Or are you having a hangover?" Slate called out from the living room.
