"What's wrong with Ethan... What's taking so long?" said Rebecca to herself as she waited for Ethan who over an hour ago had entered the infected area that had been attacked by the green smoke that turned anyone into a zombie.

The wait took forever for her as her nerves increased with every second she had to wait for Ethan.

"I don't want to be alone in this place. "Various thoughts began to cross Rebecca's mind as she waited for Ethan.

"I'm here..." ethan's voice snapped Rebecca out of her panic, ethan was happy to have found everything he needed so he was in a good mood, but he was greeted by a furious Rebecca.

"You know when I've been waiting for you!...I was worried about you," Rebecca said whispering the last part, which Ethan heard and couldn't hide a smile that broke out on his face.

Ethan was happy that Rebecca cared about him, after all who wouldn't be happy if someone who was watching your back cared about you, it showed that you mattered to the other person.

"Thanks for worrying about me...don't worry I'll see to it that we get out of this hell of a place" Ethan said as he forgot his inner dilemmas he had inside the fog because of the warm moment he was having.

"You fool stop smiling! " Rebecca complained, showing a bit more emotion unlike before when she was playing hard to get in a self-imposed mask of leadership to hide her emotions.

"You know what...I like this Rebecca that shows her emotions...the truth I was getting tired of seeing you hide in a mask just to be a trustworthy leader...don't be like that with me that makes me distrust you "Ethan cut off his anger at Rebecca, causing her to lower her head in embarrassment.

Rebecca "You feel it...how embarrassing do you know what it feels like to have to act the strong one when you want to cry in fear?"

Ethan "Of course...that's why I noticed the mask you had...the truth I have to admit that you know how to hide it well...anxiety can get the better of you in those moments, you don't know what to do in moments like that and you just want to escape from everything, I saw my father like you for many years and I was terrified when I thought I would be like my father."

Rebecca "Don't you like your father?

Ethan "Of course I like him...he's the man I respect the most and will respect the most since he raised me alone, but the responsibility my father had to do his duty terrified me...I lived a long time terrified that I would never be like him...that I would do everything wrong and end up screwing it up like always."

"I see you changed your clothes...I was getting tired of seeing you walk around in what you were wearing," Rebecca said pointing to Ethan's clothes, who had finally changed out of the hospital clothes he had on that made him look a little naked with some parts of his body exposed.

"Yeah...since I'm not one to pay attention to clothing I didn't even notice what he was wearing "Ethan said as he handed him the rifle with the bullets and the rifle with the bullets.

"What the hell is this gun" Ethan said as he looked at what the bullet had caused, after being fired from the rifle it had practically disintegrated the top of the zombie and had broken a part of the reinforced door.

"Do you think you can shoot with this gun at the door or the wall that leads you to the outside" Rebecca said in her idea to escape the place in case they had to run away from any biological weapon that was in the lab.

"Here let me try" said ethan before learning how to shoot with Rebecca's instructions, leaving at full speed ethan didn't take long to reach the armored exit door.

*BOOM*

There was a moment of silence as Ethan turned his face to see the result of firing at the exit door, but to his disappointment nothing happened at the door.

Ethan turned dejectedly back to where Rebecca was, when the gun that could have been his key to the exit was useless.

"Well at least we have a weapon that will help us take down the biological weapons we have to fight to be better" Rebecca said after seeing how Ethan was coming.

"How long do you think we have until the lab blows up" ethan said as he looked at Rebecca loading the guns into her backpack along with the bullets.

Surprised by the question Rebecca turned to look at ethan "I didn't tell you...when we were walking all over the lab after you got past our face...we found out that the lab's AI needed orders to take out the lab so I don't know so far why we haven't blown it up...according to me I think it's because someone high up in umb rella who controls this lab is using it as a test right now or something."

Ethan was confused as he didn't know why the lab hadn't exploded yet, though he wasn't complaining as it gave him a better chance of survival.

Hiro "Well I'm not really complaining...I hope whoever is in charge of this lab doesn't want the bioweapons to go free to use the nearby cities as guinea pigs in their plans "with that last comment ethan placed his pistol in his belt along with the knives and followed Rebecca.

"Tell me Ethan, do you think we can win?"

"I don't know what to tell you...but hope is the last thing you lose...so trust that we can make it."
