“Rio, may I ask you something? But as much as possible, I would like this to stay between us for the meantime.” I was getting ready to open myself again, but we had to deal with a more notorious but controversial one to take this time.
We were having our lunch near at Verano Police Department. As much as I have wanted to spend my free time with other officers, I have to wisely utilize my time.
“Sure, I am listening,” Rio responded while mixing his salad. I sighed softly before saying a word, but I was assured that he would listen to me.
“Uhm, last June, I think, before we met in the hospital, I visited a remote place here in Carson. It was Mary Village. It also happened that I came back there, and I met someone, basically a resident from that village. I do not know why I was having a hard time opening up about this, but I am glad that I am able to say this to you.” I said with certain pauses.
