[Yang Menghuo POV]
'Jie… where are you?'
Yang Menghuo was busy trying to call his Ying Jie to no avail. He was worried that something might have happened to his Jie on her way back home.
He kept staring at the apartment door, with his grocery bag in his right hand, and his phone kept on calling Ying Jie in his left hand.
'If something happened to Jie… then…' Yang Menghuo started imagining if someone dared to hurt his Jie. He was usually someone who was nonchalant of others, except for his parents. Though, his parents didn't seem to need his protection most of the time.
But Ying Jie was not 'other people.' Ying Jie was someone that he determined to be an important part of his life. At least for now, she was the one who filled this empty slot in his heart.
Yang Menghuo was quite sure that no big crime would happen around this district.
