Third Evolution

Kimi hopped onto the back of Ryhorn and journeyed away from Cerulean City leaving her father behind in his new home.

Her father was getting older and did not have the energy he once had so he was tired out from the journey he had with Kimi.

There were a couple of times when they both had to stop along the way to let him rest up.

Misty had already left on her own journey so there was nobody by the side of Kimi even if they had become a little closer and Kimi could have asked her to come along.

Misty had different ideals and dreams while being very intelligent so it was easy for her to notice any strangeness if she was around Kimi for too long and she would not be able to understand why Kimi chose such a path.

If there would be a companion then they needed to be someone with similar ideals and were trustworthy but an alternative would be someone who was not too smart to avoid her secrets being uncovered.

The cooperation between P and L was to be kept secret and having others involved would only complicate things.

The only exceptions would be those that could help them both out in areas they lacked in but they needed to be properly checked over before being involved.

In any superhero or vigilante story there were always people that uncovered the secrets eventually and would either become a problem for the hero or would become a key member.

Some would provide emotional support, technical support, take up another combat role or would be there to help everyone find a clearer direction or purpose.

One or two people doing everything alone would eventually run into problems when other large organisations started to take notice of them.

Kimi could not use anything to go by sea or air due to her lacking a big enough water or flying type that could carry her so she had to settle for riding around on Ryhorn by land.

It saved her money by not having to purchase a bike but it was not the most comfortable ride she could have had.

The journey was not completely smooth but it was manageable for Kimi who saw her future ahead of herself as sat on a more comfortable mount.

A day had passed and it was just an ordinary day after camping out, the sun was rising and Kimi expected to continue on with her journey.

Her movements from waking up and preparing for the day ahead woke up those that slept by her side.

Growlithe peeked out from the covers and looked like she had just woke up. "Growlith!"

Espeon was already awake upon sensing Kimi was awake so she was seated to the side and nudged the sleeping bump that was under the covers. "Espeon!"

The bump moved and Happiny appeared while yawning cutely. "Happiny.."

The sunlight shone down onto her as the covers fell off her, the egg on the pouch was touched by some rays of light.

Just as her body was being surrounded by a small glowing light, Kimi took out a small potion and fed it to Happiny to aid her with her evolution and to nurture her talent.

A white light surrounded her body all of a sudden and her shape was difficult to make out while the light grew bigger and the shape started to change.

Sometimes it was just time for them to take that step to evolve even if the conditions had been met for it to happen already.

There were emotional factors and experiences involved that made some delay the process or would make them not wish to evolve at all.

The relationship with Happiny had grown since they met but there were no signs of her evolving even though she had an Oval Stone in her possession.

Rather than pushing Happiny to evolve right away, Kimi did not put any pressure on her and let it happen when the time was right.

Happini became larger and the small tent had been almost filled up by her who was standing while it had become very cramped inside so Kimi had to climb out and took out the Luxury Ball to retrieve Chansey before she caused any more problems.

The tent returned to normal but Espeon was floating a little within the tent and flew outside quickly while Growlithe lay on the side as if it had just been squashed by a heavy weight.

Kimi rolled her eyes and thought to herself. 'Two evolutions in the past couple of days but it was good that I had been preparing and anticipating them happening. If I missed that opportunity then their talents may not have been improved as much.'

She looked over towards Espeon. 'She has enough talent to reach a high level even if her evolutions ended with the one that happened before. I just need to raise her well from now on and think about TM options.'

Kimi looked towards Growlithe who was getting up slowly and looked around vigilantly. 'She still had a long way to go before evolving but I need to prepare a suitable potion for her evolution that has more potent fire element ingredients. That combined with a high grade fire stone should give her a huge boost.'

She looked down onto the Luxury ball and thought. 'Chansey needs to be checked over for her growth during the evolution and she can evolve once our relationship deepens again so there is still some time before I need a potion made for her. Now that she has evolved, I can start considering putting her into a little more combat situations to raise her up to learn more support moves. The eggs produced by Chansey are supposed to be delicious too but I think it would be best to get her permission to eat or use them first.. having those eggs and the milk of a Miltank would make my breeder side job so much easier and cost efficient.'

Having a Chansey to care for the eggs and produce edible eggs was already good enough but Miltank was another one that was highly popular among the breeder profession.

Not only would those that were brought up from an egg be hatched into a caring environment but they would get the best possible nutrition that could help during their initial development or baby stages which was between level one and five.

If they were poorly cared for or the care for them was not suited to them directly then their stat development and talents could be affected in a bad way.

Many breeders would run into problems with the funds to care for them and would try to cut costs to achieve the most profits possible but it came at the cost of having their potential affected.

The costs of food and care could be reduced greatly if they had a Chansey or Miltank to assist them then they could maximise their profits made without having to sacrifice the potential and would possibly gain the best results possible during their development phases.

One of the reasons why Kimi did not reveal the inner cave to others besides Misty was due to the rarity of there being a large number of Chansey in one place, they were often hunted down by dark trainers who wished to sell or eat the eggs of the Chansey so they were usually seen much less.

A lot more were kept within the Joy family where they became the main breeders of them but they were only given to those within the family or those with strong connections to them.

There were Miltank farms that bred Miltank just to distribute the milk to breeders and others for a high amount of profits so it would not be so easy for Kimi to get one unless she had some connections.

Not everyone was so willing to hand over what they had rights to and let a potential rival get in the way of their profits.

There were so many cases of certain Pokémon being hunted to the point of being rarely encountered by anyone and there were others that certain organisations or families had exclusive rights over and rarely let outsiders have them for a number of different reasons.

After Kimi finished packing up, she continued on with her journey and camped out around some places before arriving at her destination.

She attached an ear piece and spoke. "I am here. Now tell me what I am going to do."
