RECOVERY Pt 1

All this while I never thought of my massive failures, was just thinking about Ma' Cherie', having the hope that we both will walk down the aisle together someday.

After the regrets yesterday, it dawned on me that I failed woefully both in relationship and education, braising myself up to re-write those papers was tough for me.

Believe me, it wasn't as easy as you may think, I mean here I was with a broken heart, lost my virginity to a coward, failed virtually all my papers, almost on the verge of dropping out of school. The courage I summed up was mature enough to make the fetus come out from a mother's womb.

A week or two has gone and I never told my parents about my ish. I was so determined to write those papers again with much concentration.

My roommate was there to support me in her anyway, we both burn the candles at night and also by day.

The semester was almost drawing to a close when the lecturers association decided to strike for their benefit.

Hence, school activity was shut down for their demands to be met by the government. At first, I was happy but knowing how well I have prepared for my exam made me sad.

We all had to leave for home, I decided to stay back and work more, I saw it as an advantage.

As I walked down the road to my new apartment for a brief relaxation after a long study at the library, I heard a horn of a car behind me, I never gave attention to it because I had decided to be by myself to get back to my comfort zone.

I sluggishly turned to know who was that but it didn't ring a bell, and so I continued. The horn became so loud and demanding in my ears, I felt the need to stop and wait for it to stop.

It stopped eventually and tall chocolate and a thin guy came out of a Toyota Rav4 with ash on it. He walked up to me with much confidence and a smile.

I looked afar and I kept brainstorming to figure out who he was but to no avail.

When he got closed, he flipped his car kegs to his other hand and said,

"Hello!! Remember me"?

"No? I can't place it, I mean your face".

"Well we met at the Congress meeting last week, we spoke at lent and I asked for your number but you refused me".

"Oh! You? Are you stalking me"?

" Now I remember".

"No am not!! But if that makes you happy, then I am. Please can I get your number this time"?. He said

Hmmm! Here I was like a nun who is ready to be by herself and someone is just pleading for my number? Was wondering if I should or not-

"I came to you as a gentleman I am but if you don't want to I can get it elsewhere".

" Ha! Elsewhere, OK! Let's see how you will do that. I said with much confidence and left".

With just two steps away from him I heard my phone ringing, I felt he was the one but I decided to act normal. But he ran towards me and said.

"Please save my number it ends with 33 Thanks".
