"Your grace, his grace is here." Eve's hands paused in the air. She stared at the guard as if he whispered the god had come to meet her.
But just when Damien entered, she snapped her head back on the parchment only to notice that the nib had left a dark stain on the letter.
She grimaced as she changed the parchment. She had been ignoring him since then. Writing something on the parchment, but the way her hands trembled and her words came uneven, he knew that her attention was on him. With a slight smirk he held her hands to get an instant glare.
"My lord, I am working here." she hissed the words but he only raised a brow and started reading out loud.
"I never knew you knew Marquis Hansworth personally." when she frowned as if she did not understand what he meant, he pointed at the address she had used. She had called the old man, "Dear Marquis." her face reddened at once but he was not sure if she was blushing or raging at him.
