  Kara

  I heard Sara say my name, trying to get me to stay in the bathroom, but I ignored her. I walked with a smile, but tears welled up in my eyes. What Sara had said hurt. Not just because of Stefan but also because of her. I had to go through not one but two griefs: my husband's and my best friend's.

  I wiped away my tears. My destination was back to the hall. But Stefan appeared and grabbed my wrist, guiding me.

  "What are you doing, Stefan? Let me go!"

  "Shut up and walk, Kara."

  "You can't do this. Where are you taking me?"

  "I need to talk to you. What you're doing is a mistake," he replied.

  I protested and asked him again to let me go, but he wouldn't budge.

  Stefan led me into the janitor's room. The door was open, and he took advantage of it, locking the door.

  "Are you crazy, Stefan? Let me out!" I demanded.

  The room was small, and Stefan stood close to me.

  "You're making a mistake, Kara."

  "What are you talking about?"
