Kara
I didn't stay at my parents' house to wait for a response from them because I knew what their response would be. I had an impulse. Revealing the news about my children had been a mistake I would regret, as my parents would not leave me alone. I gave them another reason to insist that Stefan was the man for me.
Derek followed me and got into the car.
"Kara, I'm so sorry for what happened in there. You can cry," he encouraged.
And so I did. I clung to his arms and cried.
"They don't support me. They never support me in anything."
"You heard what your mother said. They didn't support you because of the curse. That's why they've been insisting so much."
"Are you defending them?" I questioned.
