Zhiyi moved back into the master bedroom to sleep. She had planned to wait for Jingting to come back and then have a talk with him and resolve the misunderstanding, but unfortunately, her biological clock was fast, and she fell asleep before he returned.
Around eleven o'clock, Jingting came back with the smell of alcohol on him.
Glancing at the empty living room, he first went to the kitchen. Seeing the additional medicine sachet and silver candy wrappers in the trash, Jingting knew that Zhiyi had already taken her medicine.
The corners of his lips curled slightly as he went to the side bedroom to look for Zhiyi.
She had locked the door the past two days, not letting him in.
Perhaps it was due to the alcohol today, which dulled his rationality, Jingting took the key and twisted it only to find out that the door wasn't locked. A surge of joy filled his heart, but upon entering, he didn't see Zhiyi's figure.
