Betrayed by the gods you serve

In a city named Vorne stood two men one clad in crimson red armor with a great sword in his hand also of the same design and intricate rune pattern as his armor.

The city of Vorne now was but a mere shadow of its formal glory.As it was now it had been completely destroyed with flames on various houses with not even one soul left alive.

"Lence" the man clad in crimson red armor called out to the man on his right who had an oni mask on his face right now.

"Yes my liege" Lence replied.

"What does your divine eyesight tell you" the man asked.

"My liege it seems like the gods have retracted the blessings of the divine vision from me"Lence replied.

"Those bastards!"the man screamed out in pain and anguish.

This man that stood with his right hand man turned out to be Asdek the blood emperor. He was the ruler of this kingdom.He had gone on a four month long mission in search of the last ingredient to pacify the supposed anger of the gods his ancestors incurred. To pluck the Azure dragon flower from the death canyon. Now that he had finally found it and returned for the elders,on behalf of the kingdom to pacify their sins he came to meet his kingdom in ruins.

He clenched his fists so hard that they began to produce popping sounds.

"Those bastards!" The man repeated.Now his voice was full of sorrow and anger he didn't know which of the two he was feeling most but all he knew was he had to get revenge,for him and his people.

He could hear their cries for revenge vividly in his ears.

"How did this happen?The gods are not supposed to be able to meddle into the affairs of us mortals personally but considering the caliber of destruction, this is clearly the doing of the gods.Vorne was supposed to be the haven of the strongest beings of this world.So much so that even if the whole of the other kingdoms came together to fight it they'd surely lose." The man couldn't hold his tears back anymore. As tears streamed from his eyes he couldn't help but think of how long it's been since he last cried but now he couldn't control himself. All the memories he had of this place, his journey as he rose to the penicle of power in this world.

And above all his wife and children whose lives have been taking just like that.He knelt down with anger,sorrow and guilt weighing heavily on his shoulders as he continuously and repeatedly punched the ground several times. After about a minute and a half of constantly punching the ground his hand was totally shredded but he didn't care.He had created a deep crater in the ground that he was currently kneeling inside but he didn't care also all he could currently think about was getting revenge for his people.Although he was in rage right now he still knew all of it was futile.Even with his strength that could topple kingdoms he could do nothing to beings as great as gods whilst he was but a mere mortal.

His right hand man Lence who although he had been traveling with Asdek for almost their whole lives had never showed any emotions on his face suddenly removed his mask and crushed it in his hand.

Asdek hearing the crushing sound turned to look at him.He was shocked to see the expression that was on Lence's face.He had immense bloodlust,fury,sorrow,guilt almost every negative emotion in the world was vividly written on the face of Lence.Lence just like Asdek also knew that there was nothing he could do.But the emotions he was feeling right now was a hundred times more intense than Asdek's since he had shut his emotions in and now the gates had been opened like a flood gate the feeling was overwhelming.

Before Asdek could react Lence drew his sword and sliced his own head clean off as the burden of being away while his family and his masters people were being killed was too much to handle even for him who was said to be one of the strongest beings on the surface of the planet.

Asdek kneeling down was too awestruck and shocked that his face couldn't even show any emotions at all.He simply stared as the head of his longest companion fell down rolling to the floor and stopping when it collided with his body.

Asdek stared at the head of Lence the multiple negative emotions written on his face that had frozen on it forever filled pierced Asdek's heart even deeper

*thud *

A sound was heard as Lence's headless body fell to the ground and crimson red blood was seen oozing gently from the neck. He was the best swordsman the world could offer so the cut he made on his neck was very clean which prevented blood from spilling out like crazy.

Asdek couldn't help but smile in sorrow.

"Even in death you still don't want my armor to be stained in blood".

"Well at least you've showed me what to do.In my next life I promise that I'll fuck up all the gods for revenge.Well if there will be a next life I mean.My life was fun when it lasted at least .Seeing as I cannot do anything against these gods I may as well follow in my subordinates footsteps" Asdek said with a crestfallen voice as he lost all hope.He pulled his great sword that had been stabbed in the ground this whole time, stood to his feet and swung his sword be heading himself

*thud*

A sound was heard as Asdek's body fell to the ground along with his head.Hishead wasn't cleanly severed unlike Lence's which made blood spill over the whole place.

Asdek now could feel his body again as he opened his eyes weakly to stare at the man and woman that were staring back at him with puppy eyes.

*sigh*

He sighed inwardly as he said in his head

"Well it will seem like I've been reborn into the future just as that being said I would.Now to exact my revenge on the gods using the information I got from that being".

Asdek also could see a blue transparent panel in his view ,it read;
