Bai Xiang made his way to Aquae Vitae to meet up with Miss Amanda for the first time since his core was repaired and he was very excited, she had done him a very big favor and he was happy to begin repaying it.

Some people may feel grumpy about having to spend a large amount of time repaying a favor but he was different, she had given him the possibility to grow and become an extremely strong being in the future. What did a few hours a day recounting stories mean compared to that? Not to mention it was likely that being around her would lead him to learn more information about higher worlds, that was information he could probably only get from her.

When he finally arrived he instantly walked in and stood before the counter.

"Miss Amanda I am here to repay my debt."

He spoke clearly and simply, now that he had his core repaired she would not be as intimidating as before right?

Well his hope was useless when the beautiful woman walked out of the back room towards the counter he was even more sensitive to her power than before, it was so overwhelming that he even felt the desire to kneel down and worship.

Seeing his expression she giggled hypnotically.

"It seems now you understand why people only come in here if they have the money and really need something."

For a few seconds, she looked at him before nodding a few times.

"It seems you have broken through to the second tier of the core formation realm in just three days, which is rather good in the lower realms. To be honest most children in high-level worlds are born major realms above you but you should be able to ascend if you can keep at that pace."

Quickly after her explanation his system chimed in.

Hearing the explanation he was surprised, didn't that mean that he was already on the third major realm? Was the previous owner of this body actually a genius to get there at such a young age? Quickly the system answered that question too.

Hearing the average layout of strength in the world he understood that even with what the system said, his father was still a guard with a decent wage so he must be above average in strength, with that in mind most people in the world are pretty weak.

With that conversation with the system he just kept looking at Miss Amanda, she just kept looking back at him and stuff became slightly awkward until she spoke.

"Is there something you want to ask me or are you going to start telling a story?"

Quickly Bai Xiang started thinking as fast as possible and quickly thought of a good question.

"I am just curious about who exactly the Alchemy God is, I am also wondering why there are no other alchemy stores in the city."

She looked at him with a piercing gaze, clearly, he had spoken about something that could quickly ruin their relationship if he said the wrong thing.

After a few seconds, she signed and responded.

"The Alchemy God is not an existence that you can understand, as for why there are no other alchemists there are two reasons. Firstly this world is too low level to support anything above what those doctors you see on the street can create however even if you travel you will never find an alchemy store other than Aquae Vitae. The reason for that is simple, during his rise to power the Alchemy God killed or forcibly retired every other alchemist above the medium size worlds."

Hearing what she said he instantly felt a shiver, the owner of this store killed all other alchemists. Is he some sort of villain, he definitely sounds very scary.

Seeing how he responded Miss Amanda looked at him with a slightly angry expression.

"Do not misunderstand, his excellency is not some ruthless and selfish murderer, he had plenty of justification to do so. Now all alchemy knowledge belongs to him and his daughters and they have chosen our race of elves to be the sacred holders of that knowledge. Since then the quality and availability of pills have dramatically increased, nowadays nobody dares the try to sell fake pills and there is no need to learn alchemy. Despite what you may think Aquae Vitae is actually pretty affordable in higher levels worlds, it is not a problem for average families to buy a few pills a year there."

The arrogance in her voice was evident, it was very clear she was proud and would not allow anyone to talk poorly about the Alchemy God no matter what. Finally seeming happy again she spoke again.

"If you ever ascend to one of the heavenly worlds you will be able to hear many stories about the Alchemy God's exploits throughout the past few hundred thousand years. Now start telling your story, or are you the one hear to listen to stories?"

Bai Xiang was thunderstruck, hundreds of thousands of years? That was such a long time and that meant if he cultivated diligently he would be able to live that long right?

Quickly he regained his composure and began telling one of the more famous stories from Earth, Journey to the West, he was not able to tell the entire tale in a few hours but it could easily be seen that Miss Amanda enjoyed the story. Once he was finished for the day she started laughing.

"It is pretty impressive how you can tell that story with no fear, talking about a monkey that even the heavenly emperor could not subdue is not something many people could do. It seems a fitting story for me! Since it is like this I will tell you. All of the elves on this planet were sent here because we have had disciplinary issues in the past other than Miss Emily who is in charge of us. Perhaps me being sent here is akin to being crushed under a mountain."

Bai Xiang got slightly worried, disciplinary issues, what if she killed a bunch of people for talking poorly of the Alchemy God or something?

She continued to ramble under her breath for a little while until Bai Xiang left and went home, his only other goal was to sleep and get stronger!

Just like that 9 more days passed and it was already time for him to breakthrough to the next major realm, even he was surprised by the speed of his improvement.
