Meeting Nojiko

Luffy and The crew were sailing towards Conomi Island. And most of their days have been going with training themselves. Luffy, Ann and Makino mostly trained in Haki and Ann some time with her fruit powers. Luffy and Ann also have been training with sea stone building their resistance to it with Luffy being much-much ahead then her. Makino could almost use life return now and soon will fully master it.

As for Nami Her body conditioning has been going well and soon start training Rokushiki. Silk has been working hard to close the gap of strength she had with other members of the crew. Kaya has also started her training even though most of her time was still spent in reading medical books. Then there was Reiju who had a very strong body already so he has been training her in technique. She may even be the first one to master these techniques. Kuina after she found out that reiju was stronger than her had also trained with much vigor.

Apart from that Luffy had been training them in Observation Haki apart from Kaya as her body was still too weak to take a hit while only Kuina and Reiju have been learning Armament haki as they had strong enough bodies.

After their fight with Krieg they have also started to keep a LogBook of their journey, Which was being written by Nami with even the whole past incidents.

Makino and Silk have also been learning more about cooking from Reiju. With all three of them cooking food on their ship he could say that they had one of the ships on which the most delicious food is made.

"How long would it take, Nami?" Luffy asked Nami.

"It might probably take 5-6 hours to reach Cocoyashi village by my estimate." Nami replied to Luffy.

"Well if I fly I will be able to reach there in less than one hours. Alright guys I will go ahead to Conomi Island to take a look. I will meet you all in a few hours in Cocoyashi village."

"Ah then do you need anything to eat Luffy?" Silk asked him.

Luffy just smiled at her, 'She was also kind of a worrywart like Makino or maybe because of jealousy of Reiju always trying to cook food for me and teasing me by trying to feed me.' He thought to himself and told her it was not needed.

"Do you need anyone to come with, Luffy?" Makino asked.

"No need, I will just take a look at things and won't do anything excessive until you arrive there." Luffy replied before taking off and making his way towards Conomi Island with Geppo and Soru.

The girls just sighed at his impatience. And continued sailing towards the Island.

When Luffy was flying towards the island he thought 'Maybe I should change my fruit with a logia which can make me fly without much effort, or just add another fruit as they already shown in the show that having power of more than one devil fruit is possible. But While I know how to extract fruit I don't know how to consume other fruit.

Even though they have quite strongly hinted that cannibalism is the process to gain other fruit's power with Big Mom eating Mother Carmel. Well, it looks like I have to do some human experiments. And as the folks in kids science show say you can even do it at home all you need is some useless human, some useless fruit and some edible animal and your human experiment is ready to go. Maybe I can even give girls more than One fruit powers. Well I will think about it when I have some devil fruits.' And continued to fly.

He soon reached the island and a village by the shore came into his view. The village was totally destroyed and all the Buildings were flipped over. He could only feel three presence from the village.

He soon landed in the village and looked around for some time. Soon he heard from behind him.

"Got you, Merman! I'll Kill you to avenge my father." He heard the voice of a little boy who was running towards him with a sword in his hands.

But as He was about to reach Luffy a woman karate chopped him in the head. And said "Don't attack mermen! Have you forgotten, This village, Gosa village, was obliterated because someone went against those mermen. And anyway he is a Human."

Luffy was easily able to recognize the girl. She was the sister of Nami.

She had average height with a pretty good size breast. She had tanned skin and short blue hair color which didn't even reach her shoulder. She wore a yellow tank top with blue pants and purple sandals with purple Headband, and had pink lip gloss on.

There was a tattoo on which covered her right upper arms and chest area. Which Luffy knew was a gesture of sympathy to Nami as she hated her Arlong pirates Tattoo.

"Who are you, I haven't seen you before?" Nojiko asked Luffy with a bit of curiosity in her voice.

"Hello, My name is Monkey D. Luffy. Nice to meet you. I just came to this island." Luffy replied to her with a smile.

"Then You should get out of here as soon as possible, this is not a place you would wanna Visit." Nojiko warned him.

"Oh Why is anything going on here?" Luffy asked her.

"The mermen have taken over the Island and everyone has to pay a hefty sum of money be it residents or any visitor or they are killed, and even if you pay the money you can still be killed for no reason. That's why you should Leave from here." Nojiko told him.

"Ah you don't have to worry about it that much. I am very strong." Luffy replied to her.

She looked like she was about to argue further but then a mermen saw them and started to approach them.

"Wow! wandering alone looks like this fish just wants to die." Luffy said and got in front of Nojiko and the Kid.

Nojiko brought out a hammer from god knows where and hit Luffy in the head.

"Everyone's the same! I already told you to leave and not pick up a fight with the mermen or we will all get killed."

Luffy just turned around to look at her. "You know it's not nice to hit someone with a hammer.I will have to punish you for that later."

"What..?" nojiko said with her mouth hanging down.

Luffy just faced the fish and when the fishmen came he told them about how this town was destroyed by them and a monster called Mohmoo which they brought from the Grand Line, bragging all about their accomplishments. Luffy just sighed and drew his sword and sliced right through the mermen's neck.

Behind him both the kid and Nojiko were frozen solid from what they saw. They couldn't believe a mermen was killed just like that.

"What did you do?" Nojiko asked.

"I just killed the fishman, didn't you say they were bad or something." Luffy casually replied to her.

"You are really awesome, big brother.": The kid said to Luffy with amazement in his eyes.

Luffy just smiled at the Kid. Nojiko then stared at the kid and he got scared and became quiet.

"You have no idea what you have done, they won't leave you alive now and with you they might kill many other people, You should really leave this Island, it's the only way you will remain alive." Nojiko said to him speaking very fast.

Luffy put both of his hands on the side of her hands to stop her, "Whoa whoa calm down you don't have to worry that much, as I said to you before I am strong so if they come I will just kill them like them."

"There are many more of them and some of them are a lot stronger than this one. You won't be able to fight all of them alone." Nojiko told him a bit frustrated at the guy's careless attitude.

"Alright Alright, I don't have a boat so I can't leave from the island so Do you know any place we can hide." Luffy told her.

"What happened to your Boat.. Well whatever, let's go to my house for now." she said exasperated.

After they hid the body of the fish-man and then went to the adjacent village and went into a nice house.

It was a cozy two floor house and had Tangerine Farm behind it. 'So this is Nami's House.' Luffy thought.

"This is a nice house." Luffy said to the girl.

"Thank you, it belonged to our mother." Nojiko replied with a reminiscing smile.

"Our?" Luffy asked.

Nojiko caught herself and said "nothing..,anyways let's go inside." After saying that she led Luffy and the small kid inside the Home.

"Sorry for not asking you earlier but what's your name." Luffy asked as they sat on the dining table.

"I am Nojiko, I plant Tangerines here. And this village is called Cocoyashi village." Nojiko told him.

"Nice name and those tattoos are cool." Luffy said to her.

She just smiled a bit and replied, "Thank you and at least you are not stereotypical."

"So what are you gonna do now they will look for you everywhere now. And because of that merman being killed many other people will also be killed." She asked, still worried.

"Don't worry about it I will think of something." Luffy said to her. 'Well they will not be alive by that time.' he thought to himself.

She put her head on her hand and leaned on the table. "Outsiders don't know anything about what's going on around here." she said to Luffy.

He didn't know how some low level bounty hunters like Johnny and Yosaku knew about it when no one else knew, they even knew about Gosa being destroyed which just happened like a week or so ago. Meh, one of the plot holes by the author he thought. The whole purpose of Jonhny And Yosaku was nothing but exposition for the crew.

Then she turned to the Kid, "You're a kid of Gosa, the neighbor town, aren't you? You should know well enough that if you fight them you will be killed.

"I know but they are the ones that killed my father, They robbed everything, destroyed the village and killed many villagers." the kid replied crying.

"Then Die! Getting yourself killed will make a great revenge. If you don't have enough will to live in these harsh times then just drop dead. I know of a child who chose to live and lives a life that is more painful than death. That's why I hate people who simply want to go off and die like you." She said to the kid.

It wasn't hard to imagine who she was talking about.

"Then what should I do?" Kid asked Her still crying.

"What about your mother." Nojiko asked.

"She is alive." he said.

"Then go back to her, she must be worried about you." She said to the kid with a smile after which the kid left the house.
