Overdemanding

The bandit leader ran over to Mohai with a staff after he successfully landed [Snatch] on the Fiery Demon.

It was a Level 15 Platinum staff known as the Fire Staff. It was considered one of the best items that one could get in the Magma Zone other than the equipment from the Magma Golem and its drop rate was extremely low.

The Fire Staff stats were quite good as well. It might be a piece of Platinum equipment but it had two powerful additional effects.

Staffs were weapons used by Sorcerers or Priests. If a Sorcerer used the Fire Staff, he would receive a 15% increment in fire element damage. It was simple and powerful.

The effect was even better on a Priest. When a Priest used it in a fire terrain, all healing skills would receive a 30% increase in effectiveness, and when the healing target was attacked by fire element damage, the target would also receive a 30% increase in healing effectiveness.

If a party had a Priest equipped with the Fire Staff, the whole party would not have to worry about healing when they were leveling in the Magma Zone. Especially in the fight against the Magma Golem, if the Priest had a Fire Staff, the pressure of keeping everyone's HP at a healthy level would decrease greatly.

"How dare you snatch my things?! Go to hell!" the Fiery Demon's furious voice came.

"Why wouldn't I? Continue! Don't let him die just yet or let him escape!" Mohai grinned.

'What an idiot! I guess that's why you aren't the Boss. I bet it must be frustrating for the Magma Golem to have such idiots as subordinates, but if the Boss sets a bad example, the subordinates will surely follow. That b*stard golem had reigned supreme in this area long enough, that's why even his subordinates are this arrogant.'

However, on second thought, Mohai believed it should not be Magma Golem's fault.

Under normal circumstances, a single Fiery Demon could wipe out all the bandit leaders in the Monolith Stronghold, so the Magma Golem did not even have to come out of his cave.

The Magma Golem and the bandit leader were like an elephant and an ant. The gap in their strengths was heaven and earth apart as the Magma Golem could crush a bandit leader easily.

If the Magma Golem had been polite and agreed to trade under fair terms with some goons under his rule that he could simply wipe out, it would have only been strange.

Therefore, it was not the Fiery Demon and the Magma Golem's fault for being arrogant. They were just unlucky to have run into Mohai.

The Fiery Demon growled furiously as he found himself in a terrible situation. He was being robbed by a bunch of monsters, who he had not taken seriously a moment ago, and he could not even die if he wanted to now.

Two minutes later, another bandit leader shouted excitedly, "Leader, I've got the Magma Flint!"

"Great. Okay, let's wrap this up. Kill him."

The Magma Flint was a rare fire element mineral and only the monsters in the Magma Cave would drop it with a terribly low drop rate.

After getting the Magma Flint, Mohai did not want to waste any more time tangling with the Fiery Demon.

There were still some items on the Fiery Demon, but the best one would be the common Black Iron equipment and it was only equipable at Level 15. Even if Mohai retrieved them, they would not be much use to him.

Equipment without additional effects was not much of a boost to him and his bandit leaders, so it was not worth wasting time on it.

He was going to kill the Fiery Demon. Although Mohai believed that the Magma Golem would not take the risk and come all the way to the Monolith Stronghold to avenge the Fiery Demon, he still had to be cautious and be prepared.

Roar!

A furious roar filled with grievance echoed in the air as Mohai and 15 of his bandit leaders destroyed the Fiery Demon.

The Fiery Demon's death did not leave any item, but the soul of an Elite monster was great, especially that of a Level 17 fire element Elite. After all, Fire element Elite monsters mostly appeared in special terrains and it was not easy to get their souls.

"Let's go!" Mohai led his subordinates and disappeared into the night.

"My lord! My lord! Urgent! Urgent!"

The Fire Raven flew into the deepest part of the Magma Cave and entered a large fiery red hall.

Before it even appeared, its caws were already echoing in the air.

"What is all this ruckus about?" The Magma Golem's heavy voice boomed.

When the Fire Raven flew in, it saw a black bat floating in front of the Magma Golem. The Fire Raven knew the bat. It was Nightwing.

Nightwing was weak during the day but powerful during the night. More importantly, the bat seemed to be a subordinate of some powerful lord and would occasionally drop by the Magma Cave.

As for who Nightwing served, the Fire Raven had no idea. Nonetheless, Nightwing's appearance was proof that the Magma Lord must be discussing something important with the bat.

The Fire Raven's abrupt entrance stopped Nightwing from continuing. It took out an ancient fossil egg the size of a soccer ball and gave it to the Magma Golem. "I've delivered the message. Try to make use of what I said. And this...my lord told me to give you this fossil egg. Throw it into a lava pool and test your luck."

"So, is this one of the legendary fossil eggs from the Primordial Sealed Land?" The Magma Golem's eyes shone. Even though he was a Boss, he could not hold his curiosity back when he saw the fossil egg.

This fossil egg from the Primordial Sealed Land was unlike the common fossil egg. The primordial fossil egg was not really a fossil egg. Only its surface layer was fossilized and inside the egg was an ancient seal. The thing sealed within the egg might be alive and if the seal could be broken, all kinds of creatures that had never been seen before might appear.

It was said that there were countless similar fossil eggs in the Primordial Sealed Land, but no one had an effective way to break the seal yet. It was all up to luck.

On top of that, since the creature inside the fossil egg was actually weak, despite its rarity, it was not too difficult to acquire.

After Nightwing left, the Fire Raven flew closer and asked curiously, "My lord, what is this?"

"It's none of your business! Speak! What's with the ruckus? Where is the mission scroll?" The Magma Golem did not cure Fire Raven's curiosity. He simply tossed the primordial fossil egg into the lava pool beside him.

"Oh right! My lord! Something bad has happened! That useless Fiery Demon failed you! He was overpowered by the bandit leader! I was quick enough to escape the dangerous situation. Otherwise, I would've perished there and then!" said the Fire Raven after it remembered that it was there to deliver the message.

Fire Raven was as shameless as ever, it told the Fiery Demon that it went back to call for help but the moment it came back, it bashed the Fiery Demon mercilessly.

"What happened? Talk! Don't mess up or I'll drown you in the water." The Magma Golem looked askance at the Fire Raven since he knew the latter's personality.

"Yes, my lord. It goes like this…" The Fire Raven nodded nervously and told the Magma Golem about what happened honestly.

"16 bandit leaders? All of them followed the command and fought the Fiery Demon?" The Magma Golem's eyes glimmered sharply as he suddenly thought of a lesser-known rumor that revolved around the Monolith Stronghold.

"Hey, old tortoise, I came all the way here at night just to see you! Get yourself up here and welcome me."

Despite the time, Mohai and his group of bandit leaders appeared at the Magical Spring, where Rexus rested.

"What are you doing here again, you little b*stard!? Don't talk to me about the Magical Spring Water anymore. don't have any! Now, scram!" Rexus popped up from the water with a scowl.

"What are you people trying to do? Rob me? I'm telling you, it won't work even if you have the advantage of numbers. I'll just stay in the lake!" He was frightened and cautious when he popped his head out from the water and saw the 16 bandit leaders.

If Mohai the scammer had not been around, Rexus would have welcomed any number of bandit leaders at his doorstep. No matter how many bandit leaders tried to rob him, Rexus could take them all down together, but with Mohai around, things would not be as simple as it looked.

"Come on, old tortoise, don't be like that. I'm here to propose a deal. Didn't we have a good one last time? You won't lose anything this time either," said Mohai with a grin.

'Happy deal, my a**! I was blackmailed the last time!'

"What deal? What do you want this time?" Rexus asked. He knew that Mohai was unlike the others, so he planned to listen to what he had in mind. Besides, if he rejected Mohai without even listening, the b*stard would not leave him in peace.

"Hmm, I'm actually asking for a lot this time. 20 bottles of Magical Spring Water, five Magical Crystals, one Icy Mineral, and one of your old…"

"Go away! I don't know you!" 

Before Mohai could even finish, Rexus growled furiously and dove back into the lake.
