Chapter 4: Blessed by the Sea! Time for a Vow.
Takashi opened his eyes and used and helped himself up. The sun had already set and the stars hung in the sky illuminating it. The surroundings had gotten colder and darker like the shadows had grown in his sleep. Looking around he could see clearly even in the night. It was as if someone had put torches in his eyes while he slept. He felt something different about himself. When he closed his eyes and concentrated he felt like there was something in him. A cold blue light that radiated with power was within his body, filling it with vitality and strength. He looked at a nearby tree and punched it.
Boom!
A low resounding explosion occurred as the part of the tree where he punched was blown away. The tree's upper part crashed into the foliage below. He stared at his hands in amazement, even the pain that should comes from punching something was reduced to a dull thud when he hit the trunk. Takashi's entire body felt reinforced and stronger than it was before. He even felt refreshed, almost like he had spent an entire week in a spa resort. His hunger and thirst were gone and he felt more free than ever.
'Amazing. Is this how it feels to have power?' He thought giddily.
But still, it felt like something was restricting him, like he wasn't in his environment. There was an indescribable pull that came from behind him. He felt drawn to it and started walking there. His heightened senses helped him detect the presences of nearby predators that stalked him warily. Takashi was unknowingly releasing the pressure that an alpha would have over them. Constantly warning them to back off and not mess with him. The smell of salt and the sounds of waves could be heard as he emerged through the forest and to the shore. The moon painted a shine to the sea water as it reflected off the surface of the dark waters.
"The water?" - Takashi
The pull he felt was coming from the ocean itself, his mind rejoiced at the thought of returning to his habitat. Wait... Habitat? He ate a devil fruit. By all means, he should feel repelled by the sea instead but somehow he was instead feeling a sense of security from it. Takashi moved carefully into the water, taking half steps in until he was up to his chest into the water. His body felt more relaxed and his thinking became more clearer. The famous characteristic of the devil fruits, the sea's curse didn't affect him. It was more like the sea had blessed him instead. Feeling the excitement bubbling up inside of him, he took a deep breath and pushed off diving into the waters.
Being underwater felt almost natural to Takashi as each of his movements helped him propel himself wherever he wanted. The pressure felt nonexistent and he felt like the breath he had taken could last him an entire hour underwater. His eyes began to adjust to the darkness and the sight that appeared took his breath away. Quite literally as he lost a couple minutes of air when he gaped at the sight. The entire reef seemed to come to life as vibrant colors lit up all around him and all sorts of fish and sea creatures were out and about moving around. There were even a few sharks swimming around near the edges but he felt like they weren't any threat to him. Pink, Blue, Yellow, Orange, Green and Purple. All sorts of colors were displayed and glowed with bioluminescence throughout the night. He swam slowly through the reef enjoying it's sights and coming up to take the occasional breath every few hours. Soon morning came and the show ended with the lights fading away. He came up back to the surface to take another breath and exiting the water.
While he was underwater, he had come to terms with what had happened to him. His forceful landing here in this world and the fact that he was now in One piece. Takashi didn't know which era that he landed here in, but one thing was clear. This world is extremely dangerous and you would simply be controlled by others if you didn't have the power to defend yourself. Whether it was his fruit or his new personality, something in him was revolted at the thought of following someone else. So.... no joining the marines then. Pirate life?
'Can I really follow the lifestyle of a Pirate? I'm not as cruel and I don't have the conviction to do things that are needed in this sort of life' - Takashi
The fruit had given him a form of maturity and suppressed emotions life fear and disgust, though not by a lot. But the thought of becoming a pirate still didn't sit well with him.
'I could be like luffy, exploring the world and doing my own thing. There might be times where I might break the law to get what I want so I guess I can be called a pirate then, regardless of what I want.' - Takashi
"It's decided" - Takashi
Time for the iconic vow that an MC takes!
"From now on, I will live my life the way I want it without letting anyone else decide it for me. I will work hard to get strong enough so I can stand with the strongest people in the world!" Takashi declared out to the sea.
As he let out his vow, something inside of him awakened and information began flooding into his mind bringing a dull ache to the back of his head. He saw himself but much stronger and the true power of his fruit brought out. He learnt its name as it finally accepted him as its user. The fruit that would allow him to stand at the peak of this world alongside the likes of powerful men like the admirals and the emperors. Takashi saw himself and how he would be able to transform fully into a monster nearly 500 meters tall with spikes coming down it's back. A massive and long tail and large bulky arms. Godzilla!
'Looks like I can't use it's full power just yet. But it does enhance me a lot!' - Takashi
He let out a sigh as he looked out into the direction of the sunrise.
'It's time for me to start my training... ' - Takashi

"Jeez looks like I'm reaally popular today!" - Luffy
"What's that luffy?" - a red haired man
"Nothing! Another glass please!" - Luffy asked Makino with a smile
