Nightly Encounter

Since it was only the early afternoon Adam had a lot of free time. He figured that the others needed some space so he decided to find a quiet place where people are to train his aura sense more. He wants to be able to do it in battle in case his eyes get damaged or if someone can use illusions.

When he finally opens his eyes it's already night time with the moon high in the sky. He summons an apple and starts walking around campus. After a while and four apples later Adam sees Weiss heading towards the dorms. Adam jogs to catch up to her.

Adam- "Hey Weiss, where you been?"

Weiss- "Huh?"

Weiss turns around and sees Adam still in his school uniform while she is in her combat uniform.

Weiss- "Oh, it's just you. I was at the library. What are you doing out so late?"

Adam- "I just finished meditating. Trying to improve my aura sense"

Weiss- "You can do that? I think Ren can do it as well, maybe you can ask him for assistance. Lets continue walking, I've got to talk with Ruby"

Adam- "Alright. After you Princess"

Adam and Weiss then make their way through the dorms.

Weiss- "Why do you call me that? I thought you would eventually drop it, but apparently I was wrong"

Adam- "Do you want me to stop?"

This makes Weiss blush a bit. Even if she is walking ahead of Adam he can still see the back of her neck is red.

Weiss- "I guess I don't mind it, just tell me why"

Adam walks closer behind Weiss but still groves her room so he isn't walking on top of her feet.

Adam- "It just seems to fit you, you act all high and mighty most of the time because you feel that you have to hold yourself to higher standards than everyone else. And you also don't show it, but you care for those close to you. Even if they get on your nerves, just like a Princess and her subjects"

Weiss doesn't say anything the rest of the way which is like three minutes.

Adam- "Can I take a peek at what the room looks like after the construction you girls did?"

Weiss- "Just a peek, they are probably sleeping"

When Weiss opens the door with her scroll Adam is surprised by what he sees.

It's the same layout as his room with the bedroom, bathroom, common room and window.

But the beds are made into bunk beds. The one closest to the door seems to have Weiss on the bottom while Ruby is on the top. Ruby's bed is suspended in the air with rope and has a blanket over it making it look like a tent. And the bunk farther away has Blake on the bottom. She is sleeping under her covers. Yang is on the top bed that is on top of books that are on the posts of the bottom bed. She is sleeping with her limbs stretched out above the covers.

It also seems that they decorated with a painting, books and…..Yang did have a boy band poster and it was hanging on the wall. The curtain also seems to have been down together horizontally like someone cut it.

Adam- "This seems up to code"

Weiss- "Haha, so funny. Now get out"

Weiss agrees that it's dangerous but still likes it anyway. She closes the door and walks over to Ruby's bunk that she has to stand on a chair to get up to. Once she opens the tent she finds the occupant with her head resting on notes, a pencil in her hand, and open books all around her. Weiss, looking amazed at Ruby's determination, clears her throat and gently shakes the other girl awake, who takes a second to regain consciousness and start flailing in surprise.'

Ruby- "Weiss! I-I was studying, and then I fell asleep! I'm sorry..."

Weiss places a hand over Ruby's mouth and puts a finger to her own so Ruby understands the need for lowering her voice. Weiss looks near Ruby's pillow and spots an empty Beacon coffee mug. Then she puts her hands back down to her sides.

Weiss- "How do you take your coffee?"

Ruby- "I... I don't..."

Weiss gets a little irritated.

Weiss- "Answer the question!"

Ruby: "Uhh, cream and five sugars!"

Weiss sighs at the childishly sweet coffee choice, but it fits Ruby.

Weiss- "Don't move."

She ducks under to her own bed and comes up a moment later with a fresh cup, offering it to Ruby.

Weiss- "Here."

Ruby looks sleepy and has a small smile.

Ruby: "Um... Thanks, Weiss."

Weiss smiles genuinely, then looks apologetically down to the side avoiding eye contact.

Weiss- "Ruby, I think you have what it takes to be a good leader."

Ruby smiles appreciatively, and Weiss looks at her with a serious face.

Weiss- "Just know that I am going to be the best teammate you'll ever have! Good luck studying!"

Weiss gets down, only to come up and point at one of Ruby's papers.

Weiss- "That's wrong, by the way."

She gets down again, and her voice comes from the doorway this time.

Weiss- "Hey, Ruby?"

Ruby- "Uh-huh?"

Ruby looks over towards the door to see Weiss standing outside leaning in with her hand on the door knob.

Weiss- "I always wanted bunk beds as a kid"

With that being said Weiss closes the door. Ruby, grinning at the progress with her friend, goes back to her notes and sips the sugary sweet coffee.

When Weiss closed the door she stood there for a few seconds just smiling and the tightens her right hand in a fist.

Adam- "That was a sweet of you Princess"

Weiss turns around to see Adam right behind her. He is standing a little too close to her. She wonders why she didn't notice him until he spoke but then he leaned forward and down towards her to talk face to face.

Adam- "Now what are you gonna do? Won't it be embarrassing to walk back in right after you left like that? I wonder if Princess wants to go to a room with plenty of extra room and beds?"

Weiss blushes having Adam so close to her face but gets a little mad that he makes fun of her for leaving instead of going to bed like she had planned but got caught up in the moment.

Weiss- "Well I'm not tired. So I planned to go for a stroll"

Adam- "Right. So is that a no on going to my room? I swear I won't touch you, unless you want me to. Huntsmans honor"

Adam stands back up and salutes to Weiss when he said huntsmans honor. Weiss gets more flustered at his teasing. She's able to quickly calm down, but her blush doesn't go away. She crosses her arms and looks towards Adams room and closes her eyes trying to decide quickly.

Adam walks over to his door and opens it. He holds I open for her.

Adam- "Times ticking. I'll even let you wear my only pair of pajamas that I don't have to use aura for"

Weiss- "Fine"

She keeps her arms crossed as she enters the room.

Adam walks in after her and closes the door then turns around to face Weiss.

Weiss- "There really isn't much in here….. And you do have school supplies, why didn't you have them in class?"

Adam- "I forgot? I was out the door without any clothes on when I realized that we were gonna be late. I even had to copy a uniform when I saw team JNPR fall out of their room. They weren't too happy seeing me like that. I think Nora and Pyrrha didn't mind though? Oh, don't worry. I had a fig leaf covering my no-no-square"

Weiss takes a step back hearing that he flashed team JNPR and casually talked about it like it was a common thing.

Weiss- "Why aren't you embarrassed being seen like that? Now that I remember it, you practically did the same thing when Ruby and you exploded. What's the reason?"

Adam raises an eyebrow and closes his eyes in deep thought for a minute. Then he just shrugs his shoulders.

Adam- "When I was in the forest for three years I didn't have to wear clothes. I only wore them to add weight and resistance to my training. I guess I just came to not care after a while. Plus my body is amazing, why wouldn't I want to show it off. It's like covering your legs Weiss. You can cover them, but why don't you? It's sort of like that, if that makes sense. And don't worry, I'll sleep in shorts tonight"

Weiss thinks about what he said and he does have a point. People will show skin if they feel comfortable with it. But she knows it's different when you have nothing on. She just sighs in the end, she got her answer and there is no point in trying to change his mind.

Weiss- "Where are your pjs? I would like to change now"

Adam goes over to his closet and sees a uniform hanging next to a pair of black shorts and white baggy shirt.

Weiss- "Let me guess, that uniform wasn't there this morning?"

Little does Weiss know that there wasn't a uniform this morning. His mom texted him that she and Ozpin would get him what he wanted for pjs and also got him the uniform and school supplies. He just sighed and grabbed the shorts and shirt. He tossed it to Weiss and pointed at the bathroom with his thumb. And had a silly smile on his face.

Adam- "I don't suppose you need help undre-?"

Weiss- "NO!"

Weiss was already in the bathroom and slams the door shut.

Adam just goes over and jumps onto his bed and makes his school uniform go away to reveal his chiseled body in only a pair of shorts before he even hits the bed. He hears Weiss turn the shower on so He takes his scroll out and looks at the pictures he's taken that day. When he gets to the last one it's of Weiss's bottom half sticking out the door as she said she liked bunk beds to Ruby.

Weiss exits the bathroom with her hair brushed but still slightly wet. She has on the shorts and the tshirt that is way too big for her. She is holding her combat clothes and turns around lays them on the bed next to the door. Adam blushes and mutters something under his breath.

Adam- "Found where the milk was going"

She turns around hearing Adam say something quietly. She luckily didn't hear him.

Weiss- "What was that? You were kinda quiet?"

Adam rolls onto his side showing his back to Weiss.

Adam- "Was just wondering if you wanted an apple"

Weiss- "Oh. That would be appreciated"

Adam then rolled back over to face Weiss while still being on his side. He looks up to see her pale face and her white sort of messy hair. He sees her beautiful baby blue eyes looking down at him. His blush gets deeper, then he holds out his right hand as an apple appears. Weiss take the apple and walks over to a bed and sits down. And quietly thanks Adam.

Weiss- "Thank you"

Adam rolls onto his back and puts his hands behind his head. He just stares at the ceiling trying to distract himself. In doing so, he unintentionally is showing off his compact muscles in the moonlight coming through the open window, the lights never being turned on in the room.

Weiss can't help but admire Adams body. Now she understands why he doesn't mind showing it off. As soon as she thinks that she shakes her trying to get away from that train of thought.

When she shook her head her hair was also shaken and now looks messier, but in gorgeous way since it's still slightly damp.

She eats the apple and is shocked by its taste just like everyone else that has eaten one before. She finishes it in a few minutes and gets up to throw it away and wash her hands.

When she comes out she sees Adam has fallen asleep and watches his well-toned and muscular chest slowly fall and rise in the moonlight. Weiss doesn't remember when she fell asleep but she remembers what she was looking at until she did.
