Little Xun'er

After a few months, Yang wen stabilized his realm to break through the Body forging realm and reach the Blood Qi realm.

'There's a lot of blood qi in my veins' Yang wen clenched his fist tightly generating a small vibration.

"So this is what it feels like when cultivating the body, I think I should become Superman and wear a spandex while flying around" Yang wen joked.

Walking outside Yang wen saw a little girl playing around alone while dirt was all over her clothes.

"Little Xun'er are you having fun?" said Yang wen with a smile on his face.

The little girl looked up and saw yang wen as her eyes sparkles saying" Brother wen come play with me"

As she said the little girl Xun'er kept pestering yang wen whole day.

(Flashback to 2 years ago)

The sun sets slowly as the sky changes colour.

In a lush forest, many small birds and insects seem to be minding their own business while chirping and making a cricketing sound.

A small river was flowing down the stream and the sound of nature was calm and serene making the environment extremely blissful for relaxing.

While a young woman and a small little girl around the age of 7 were walking at a slow pace as they were carrying a few small bags around their back.

The area around these parts was safe from the demon beast so they don't need to worry about their safety as mortals.

The two of them sat nearby the river taking a sip while resting and they didn't look to be in a rush even though the sun was setting.

"Little xun'er come mommy will play your favourite game with you"

"Count to 10 mommy will go and hide," said the woman

"Yay I can play with mom," said the little kid with an excited voice.

"Yes mommy will play hide and seek with you now go and count, mom will go and hide," said the woman.

The little girl rushed to the tree and counted loudly.

1, 2, 3....

10" shouted loudly

The young girl with an excited look searched everywhere for her mom.

As the sun gradually settled she was a bit afraid but thinking of her game with her mom she looked everywhere and got lost.

"Could it be that mommy got lost?

MOM I DON'T WANT TO PLAY ANYMORE" She shouted in a shaking tone as her voice echoed through the dark forest.

Which by now was extremely dark while the bright moon enveloped the forest in its embrace.

"Mom please come out I'm scared I won't pester you to play the game again so please stop hiding" hick! Hick! She said while sobbing in a low voice.

As time passed the young girl thought something happened to her mom so she searched everywhere in the middle of the night inside the forest while crying.

After searching high and low the little girl finally reached her limits and collapse to the ground and was unconscious.

In a tree 500 meters away a woman was crying silently.

"Xun'er you can blame mom, I'm sorry I can't take you to my family, after running away from home I thought meeting your dad was the best thing in my life but we were kicked out so quickly when your dad died and I could only leave with you."

"I have nowhere to go if you stay with me my dad will not accept me after all I ran away from my home due to arrange marriage and bringing you with me will only make the situation worse." said crying as she vent out her frustration by punching the tress and her hands bled.

She stood up with a cold look and looked at the child who was in tatters while many holes can be seen in her clothes.

"I'm sorry," she said one last time.

And left silently to the distance without stopping or looking back.

The sun rose and made the forest lively again.

A young girl lay on the ground with dirt all over her skin and clothes as the sun's rays hit her face she woke up looking around and she suddenly recalled what happened and became depressed.

With a sad look she looked around"I have to search mom!" she said but a grumbling sound could be heard from her stomach.

With little energy, she got up and went to search for her mother while eating leaves she found on her way.

Time seems to be slow for the little girl as it became very hard to ignore her stomach.

Weeks pass and in the blink of an eye, a month went by she kept walking and walking and had gotten lost......

On a sunny day.

Suddenly the little girl saw something flying far away so she climb the mountain to get a better look and saw the shape of the woman she was searching for all this time.

"MOM, MOM, MOM!" She shouted excitedly.

As if hearing the voice the woman who was riding a sword changed her direction and flew near the little girl.

As the woman approached the hill near the little girl's location she sped up and landed next to her while generating wind making dust scattered around the area.

After the dust settled Xun'er saw the woman and ran excitedly but suddenly mid way she stops.

"You're not my mom," she said in a sullen voice with red eyes as she sobbed.

"Little one of course im not your mother, tell me what are you doing here? It's dangerous to approach areas nearby border cities without cultivation." Zhou Jing said as she tried to pacify the child.

It took a while to calm her down.

"My mom and me and thattt...." Xun'er strutted and after a while, she explained how she ended up in this situation.

'Sigh this girl still think her mom is playing hide and seek with her, ill just calm her down and bring her along, her mother sure is heartless leaving a little girl alone in the wild, I wonder how she even managed to survive this long,' Zhou jing pitied the girl so she decided to help her a bit.

"Little girl come with me I'll help you search for your mother with a few of my friends once we reach a city nearby," said zhou jing.

"Really? Thank you big sister" said Xun'er with a delightful expression.

(Flashback over).

'sigh this girl is quite pitiful'

When Zhou jing told Yang wen about the little girl's situation he immediately told her to let her stay with them, Zhou jing wanted Xun'er to stay in an orphanage but Yang wen told her not to and decided she will live with them just cause he felt like she had a protagonists backstory and felt pity towards the little girl.

Authors thoughts.

Sorry I couldn't write a new chapter in 2 days.

I have a tight schedule so I might miss some days

I'll make it up for it by doing a mass release when I'm free next week or maybe longer.

I can barely write with a heavy head Im tired so it might come out in poor quality I had to stay up overnight cause of it.

Anyway enough with my boring drama goodnight.
