CH.205: Fulfilling The Deal.

( Yuuki's POV )

After we destroyed the school our fight turned into an aerial battle, I was pushing Kokabiel to his limits while he did everything he could to stay alive.

I don't enjoy an overwhelmingly easy fight like this at all, but my real goal is to see Kokabiel's true limit, knowing how strong his desire to survive was and the truth was I was satisfied.

None of his attacks were working anymore and every time my punches and kicks landed, I broke his bones and caused internal bleeding but he never fell into despair, he was a fighter just like me.

When I saw what I wanted to see I finished the fight when I activated my [lightning body], Kokabiel couldn't keep up with my speed and I dug my claws into his chest, cutting deep across the length of his left arm, I didn't kill him but he couldn't continue fighting, His body did not respond and he began to fall slowly because I altered the gravity around him.

When he reached the ground I walked slowly towards him and when I was close enough Kokabiel used what was left of his strength to stab me with a spear of light, I stopped his attack with the palm of my hand and when his last attack failed, he closed his eyes and put a serene expression on his face.

Kokabiel: ha So this is as far as I can go.

Yuuki: That's a strange answer for someone in your situation.

Kokabiel: well you were right before, I'm rusty, I haven't had a fight like that in centuries, if this is my end I'm happy to go on the battlefield.

Yuuki: You can't leave yet, you owe me.

Kokabiel looked at his right hand where Ana's seal was and he let out a heavy sigh.

Kokabiel: *sigh* I only have a few minutes left boy, I can't do anything you will have to take my powers, not that you need them.

Yuuki: You are right, I don't want your powers, I want you to join my side.

Kokabiel: ...you are playing with me boy, in my last moments.

Yuuki: I am not, your desire to start a warrior and despise other races is something that I cannot accept, that is why what I want from you is to choose.

I put my hand into a small portal that connected to my storage and I took out one of the valuable phoenix tears that Ravel gave me and placed it in front of Kokabiel.

Yuuki: Finish things here as you want or throw away your prejudices and join me.

Kokabiel: choose? You won, why don't you order me to follow you.

Yuuki: Someone forced to fight for someone else will never be better than a true ally, there are many worlds at war with people stronger than you, stronger than me, if you choose my side I guarantee you will never get bored or rusty again.

The young devils and the church members behind were surprised by what I said but they did not interfere, Either because they trusted me or because they knew they couldn't stop me, I chose to believe it was the former.

Kokabiel: people stronger than you, if you put it like that I don't think I can pass that offer.

Kokabiel took the bottle of phoenix tears and after a big drink his body was like new, I extended my hand towards him to help him up and when he took it, Ana's seal disappeared from our hands.

Yuuki: a pleasure to work with you.

After our victory, the devils and the church members returned to the mansion while I headed to the port of Kuoh, Like the other nights the Grigori leader, Azazel, was wasting his time fishing.

As I approached he remained calm so I took that as an invitation and sat next to him.

Azazel: So that was your goal, to recruit one of my men.

Yuuki: Not at first, that's something I decided after talking to him, are you going to try to get him back?

Azazel: No, I think this is the best, if he returned to my side I would have to lock him up, but what about you? Don't you think this will damage your relationship with the devils?

Yuuki: I believe that everything will be fine, the girls from the church got what they were looking for and the sisters of the demon kings were never in danger, They all saw that I could have finished off Kokabiel, no one should have a problem with him being on our side when our main base is not in this world.

Azazel: I see, I must thank you.

Yuuki: for what?

Kokabiel: for helping an old friend, when I couldn't.

Yuuki: Don't mention it, but if you're interested in thanking me, we could talk about research on sacred gears.

Azazel: oh so you are also interested in sacred gears.

After my talk with Azazel, I flew back to my mansion where Ana was waiting to welcome me.

Ana: good job today Yuuki.

Yuuki: Thanks, hey could you tell me what happened to those girls that you were carrying earlier?

Ana: You happened, releasing your powers in the previous fight caused the little magic inside their bodies to multiply several times, I put them in a vacant room and asked Rias to explain to them about the supernatural world that they could no longer ignore.

Yuuki: uhg sorry?

Ana: There is no problem if all else fails, I can always erase their memories and take the magic they awakened.

Yuuki: that's good to hear, where is Kokabiel?

Ana: The phoenix tears healed his body but just in case I sent him to Flora, everyone else is resting in their rooms.

Yuuki: well, we should do the same.
