Aldred thanked Lord Langdon and Lura before they left the room and were escorted out by the maids.
Inside the room, Langdon asked his daughter: "Lura, what do you think of him?"
"I think he's the most talented person this world has ever seen. He will surely become a great figure in the future." Lura objectively said. As the daughter of a governor, she had to learn how to analyze someone and decided if that person was suitable to be a partner.
"I mean, do you like him as a man or not?"
Lura was caught off guard by that question. "Father, you mean?"
"Yeah, I am planning to betroth you to him."
Lura sighed. "Father, I think Aldred is a wonderful man, and any woman in the world would want to be his partner, but I don't think I am worthy. He already had a lot of wives and all of them are very powerful and talented on their own."
"I see. That's too bad."
"Sorry to disappoint you."
