2012

New year's past and it's now 2012, a year of chaos and destruction. A year of death and new beginnings a year that birthed the earth's mightiest heroes.

For me, this year is going to be a blast. Finally, the MCU gets kick-started and Loki will steal the Tesseract. I have been holding off on stealing it so he can open that damn portal, destruction will follow but with the League of Shadows and other plans being set in motion I can and will come out as the ultimate victor.

Although I planned well and I doubt my plans will be destroyed any time soon I can help but have a bad feeling as if something is going to happen to me that will affect not only myself but those around me. Harry let Felicia and I know that he will be returning in time for his birthday which is good because his friends are freaking out, after I went on my trip no one was there to play Harry, Felicia told Ned and Peter that he joined me on the trip but, since they haven't been contacted by him I can only imagine what they feel.

Currently, I'm laying down in my bed with Felicia when a burning sensation pounds into my chest, I feel like the burning sensation wants to lead me somewhere. I don't know why but I can just feel it.

I raise from my bed slowly without alerting Felicia and equip my outfit. Promptly I shadow-walk into the distance.

Quickly shadow walking through the Manhattan I eventually find myself in central park. The moon illuminates the night as I made my way toward the solitary figure in the distance I can feel the burning sensation starting to either. She is who called for me, Jean Grey host of the Pheonix Force, someone who could destroy this planet if she tried.

"You have called for me human," I said quietly

"Who are you!" Jean shouted at me

"I heard your call so I came. Did you not call me?" I asked

"What no I just felt like I should go to this park in secret for some reason," she replied

Hmm, what could be the cause. We both were drawn here and I was brought by a burning sensation. Jean is still alive so she must still have mental locks on her mind.

I see crafty little Phoenix.

"I think I know now," I said softly

"R-eally?" Jean stuttered out my voice seems to be quite terrifying these days

"Yes, I now know. You unconsciously called for me because I'm the only one that can help. Your mind has several mental blocks and suggestions planted inside of it. You aren't safe and neither is the world with your mind suppressed like this, you house a very strong being called the Pheonix Force and knows I can free you." I replied in my kindest tone

I seemed to have broken her because she paused rooted in her spot, confusion visible on her face.

"How can I trust you?" she asked

"Good question you can't," I said

"But what you can trust is yourself tell me do you believe that your memories have been messed with? Tell me do you believe your house one of the strongest beings in the universe is inside of your body? I got called here for no reason if you don't believe." I added seriously

"I don't know something is urging me to believe you. I- I just want to figure out what's wrong with me," she answered

"I can help with that, Grab my hand and focus on your mind then say 'i agree to accept mental immunity while I adjust to the Pheonix Force, The Phoenix will give The Doctor of Death a gift afterward.'" I said wile extending my hand

I did this because there is no way in hell I'm going to try and make her sign a loyalty pact. The Phoenix would probably turn me to ashes.

"Um okay, not a creepy name at all. I agree to accept mental immunity while I adjust to the Pheonix Force, The Phoenix will give The Doctor of Death a gift afterward," she said seriously and grasped my hand.

---- Jean pov ---

The second I grabbed the strange man's hand a flood of memories was freed from my mind. Me killing my parents, the professor lying and brainwashing me, a beautiful Phoenix flying around.

The flood gates broke and I sobbed and sobbed. I can't go back to those people, I just can't. How many of my friends are brainwashed? How many lies has the professor told? Why! Must he do this!

'It's because you're powerful.' an ethereal voice sounded in my head, it belonged to the flaming golden orange Phoenix.

I know.

'We are stronger as partners than not.' she sounded in my mind again

I agree.

'Let me thank that man now.'

Okay.

"I want to thank you, doctor, without your help my host would have perished." the phoenix said using my body

"Of course, you called me after all," he replied

"Let me gift you something valuable." I/she said

"Haha thank you," he replied

A soft golden orange flame left my palm and went into the man's chest.

"Now we are even." I/she said

"Of course, the deal has been met." the man replied and then disappeared

'what are your plans now host?' the Phoenix asked me

please call me jean. I want to make a group of mutants and unlike the brotherhood or X-Men but my group will fight for what we think is right.

'That is admirable Jean.' she replied

Thank you! Um is there something else I could call you besides Phoenix?

'You may give me a name.' she replied almost too fast, was she looking forward to me naming her?

'I hear all of your thoughts Jean.' she said angrily

Oh right, hehe.

How about Nix?

'It's acceptable.'

---Norman pov ---

As soon as the golden orange flame entered my body, a warm feeling spread throughout my body it was like a mother's embrace soft and caring.

I could instantly feel a difference in my strength. My telekinesis has gotten stronger and I seem to have gained the ability to use both telepathy and golden orange flames. I wonder If I can combine them with my deathly flames.

I eventually reached my bed once again and laid down for some rest. Tonight was very random I never even imagined the possibility of that happening.

[The next day]

I awoke to an empty bed, chatter filled the house it seems like Harry and Felicia are catching up, that's good they need it.

Today is going to be a good day we are celebrating the new year and Harry's birthday on the same day because we wanted to do it as a family.

I can hold off on experimenting with the boons the phoenix gave me for now. I can't wait to see how much Harry has improved not only in strength but as a person.

I walked down the stairs and saw Harry he looked stronger and I could tell from his eyes he is more mature, his eyes are deep and heavy like he has seen some terrible things.

"Son! I'm glad your back." I said giving him a hug

"Me too dad me too," he replied

"Doesn't he look all grown up babe!" Felicia said happily from the side

"Ahah yes he does! That's my boy." I replied

"Sheesh, guys you are so embarrassing," Harry said bashfully his face turning a little red

Ah, I missed this.

"Let's get ready for your birthday/the new year!" Felicia cheered and went off into the kitchen

"Are you excited to see Peter and Ned?" I asked him

"Yes, I missed them a lot," Harry replied

"Haha well be ready to get asked a ton of questions those boys kept trying to figure out where you were," I said

"Haha of course they were," Harry replied

"Anyways Harry spend time doing what you want with friends, for now, this year is going to get crazy and I'm going to need all hands on deck." I suddenly said my tone serious

Harry's own face turned serious as well he looked up at me and said, "won't you tell me what's happening?"

"Not now," I replied and walked away toward Felicia

Soon everyone started to arrive Peter with his aunt, Ned with his Grandma, and once again Holland Roden the actor of Lydia in teen wolf. Harry insisted on her invitation he said something about how the third times the charm. I keep trying to explain to him that she is 25 and he's just 16 but apparently 'it's important to set a good image now'.

We watched the clock reach close to twelve even though it's not new year's we still have to do the chant.

"Ten!"

"Nine!"

"Eight!"

"Seven!"

"Six!"

"Five!"

"Four!"

"Three!"

"Two!"

"" HAPPY NEW YEAR!"

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY!""

Today was a good day.

[the next day]

I have turned all of my particles into sand size bits but sense the Phoenix basically boosted my powers I decided to train more today. I also need to train in telepathy and the golden flames.

I first activated my green deathly flames then in my other hand my golden orange flames. The power wafting off both was astounding, one life and passion the other death and destruction. Two separate flames with two separate purposes. The orange flame heals me and can also burn strong but the green flame consumes the life force of others.

Two sides of something so vast, life and death, yin and yang, if I can combine the two flames I can't even comprehend the strength and power I would possess.

---Pov Jean grey ----

I quickly flew toward the school I used to attend the betrayal and disgust I feel for that place is palpable but I need to go back. I need to feel some of my friends that I know would join me.

I appeared on the ground of the mansion and imminently several people came out. Scott, The professor, Ororo, Kitty, Logan, and Kurt.

"Jean where have you been! We were worried!" Scott yelled out his annoying voice makes me want to throw him into the mansion

"I have come to say I'm leaving this disgusting school. Charles Xavier messed with my memories and locked some away. He treated me and all of you like puppets! I have come to say if you want to leave this disgusting person join me!" I exclaimed

"Jean what are you saying? I don't understand!" Kitty shouted

"Of course you don't let me free your mind my friends." I said and unleashed my powers instantly freeing whatever the professor did to them

A look of horror was spread on the quite professors face. Kitty, Kurt and ororo looked hurt. Logan on the other hand looked murderous.

"Join me please I want to make a place where we don't need to constantly fight for no reason! Join me. Logan if you join me you won't regret it I know we're your daughter is!" I spoke with confidence

I'm not lying shadow people took the other members of the X-Men and he fought with a girl that had claws he said smelled like him so I'm assuming it's his daughter. And I know the head honcho of that organization so they could meet.

Suddenly I felt someone trying to get into my head.

I snapped my head toward Charles and sent him flying.

"DON'T EVER TRY TO GET INTO MY HEAD AGAIN!" I shouted in anger

Me, Logan, Ororo, Kitty, and Kurt all left that night. That night the order of the Phoenix has been made. We will become the protectors of metahuman kind and the fighters of justice.
