My armor and sword appeared as I stood up to run back to the arena. Bryan saw it as a sign to continue with our match and stood up as well. But, this time, he wasn't holding his twin scythes. Instead, he was armed with his sack of glass balls.
Our Elemental Auras flared. I was sporting a blue Elemental Aura while Bryan had his Aura in the form of a tree getting crushed into ashes.
"Alright then, let's start with the second half. I've won the first one by default, so I hope you can win this time. Like we've agreed on, this battle will be focusing on our Magecraft. You've faced the TIme Mage beforehand and made the Flower Mage bleed and retreat."
"I expect this to be a wonderful show for me," said Bryan, with a smirk.
I smiled back as I raised my weapon—time to unleash some pent up Elemental Energy. My blade was shining blue as I prepared to release the first spell. Bryan acted in accordance and pulled out a few glass balls. I jumped upwards when he threw the small things.
The area underneath me exploded as I backflipped in the air. I swung my sword at him and called out the spell's name.
"Cascada: Fourth Moon. Wave Whiplash!" I yelled as a large stream of water came out from the edge of my weapon.
"Water main, huh? Now that's interesting. I'll see how you fare against this," taunted the smiling Slayer.
It headed towards the Slayer with speed as I landed back onto the ground. Bryan smiled as he threw more of the glass balls right at the giant stream of water.
"Water carrier of the gods, symbol of Ganymede... Aquarius, Stars Of The Waterbearer!" shouted Verna, as the glass balls erupted into large chunks of ocean water.
The glass marbles were still for a second while in mid-air. Then, before the water came out, it rearranged itself to form the constellation of Aquarius. No way, this guy could refill an entire ocean if he'd wanted to! And so much power within such a small piece of equipment.
It eradicated my Wave Whiplash, but I wasn't ready to back down yet. After all, I've got more Elements to use. I rushed towards the rampaging flood and stuck my arm through the merciless torrents.
"Zephyr Tunnel!" I yelled, forcing the waters to disperse around my blade.
I caught sight of Bryan's face and was ready to stab his face. The Slayer dodged easily as the tip of my blade started glowing red. But I went through the opening and towards the man.
"Helios, City!" I yelled as a giant fireball shot out of the blade and towards Bryan.
"What the-" cursed Bryan as he summoned a shield.
Using my blade as a backing, I struck the shield with everything I had. But the security repelled me, making me fly across the area. Bryan took it down and leaped forwards, giving me a chase of a lifetime. I focused all my strength on my legs, enough for me to take down some trees.
There was a gap between us as I swerved around the thick forestation. I was hoping to get Bryan from another angle to ambush him using a spell, but I looked up in horror as I saw what he was doing. I murmured another request from the Words Of the World.
"Notice. Would you like to use 'Avarice' and 'Fortitude'?"
Yes! Enhance Fortitude to the maximum level! I have to brave this through and get to him! My sword glowed as I used it as a shield to face the attack head-on. Bryan had taken out a few more glass balls and threw them towards me with lightning speeds.
"Symbol of Royalty And Power, Mightiest Of All Zodiac Constellations... Leo, Stars Of The Lion!" chanted Verna as the marbles shuffled about to form the face of a lion.
It erupted into a massive visage of the animal and was made out of flames. I clutched my sword and slashed the fire and all the marbles into clear halves. The fire went into the blade as I tried out another set of spells.
"Arcane!" I shouted as a large stream of all my Elements came out from the slash of the blade.
A rainbow of Elements came barrelling through the sky as Bryan was forced to hold his grounds. The two of us continued after that clash, with him throwing random constellations at me, deflecting them with random Elemental Spells.
Both of us were at the same level of Magecraft during this point in the battle. So, I could use another attack to cancel out whatever Bryan threw at me. But, I needed something more substantial to win against him. Something that could catch him off guard.
