Phantom, A Templar Knight

A silence befell our heads as we were deep in our thoughts. Vincent was the first to break the silence as VK laid out the map of Albion on the table as I set to work.

Let's see... The crimes these followers committed weren't too dangerous, like petty theft and mini bickering to picking on kids, so that was a plus. We were lucky that we weren't handling seven murderers running around like kids on a sugar rush.

However, someone seemed to be more well-known than the rest of his lackeys... And this guy has an interesting back story, unlike the rest of the followers. A man whose original name was called Phantom. Perhaps a nickname? I wasn't entirely sure...

But this person had genuinely captured my interest because of where he was initially at... And this person certainly knows how to leave a sparkly trail for newcomers to learn his history or how he functions. A person who knew more Curses than an average Mage.

This man was affiliated with the Five Kings, specifically with Baron Tuazon, and had defunct out just before the Umbras had hit, but that wasn't all... Once upon a time, Phantom was part of the Knights of Templar. That meant this person must be at least a few centuries old.

And that he shouldn't be doing small things like bowing down to a dragon. The Knights of Templar, otherwise known as the Order of Solomon's Temple, were a group of Knights who were devout Christians going around the European countries during the 1100s.

Unfortunately, though they sounded religious, they weren't the same as those I had in my previous world. According to this world's history, the Knights of Templar also funtioned as a millitary might and had skilled fighters on their team.

For my world, they were much focused on spreading their finances and word about Christianism. Coupled with their Crusades and being endorsed by the Roman Catholic Church, the Knights of Templar were arguably the first multinational cooperation.

Unfortunately, things didn't end well for the organization as the world slowly progressed from the middle ages, especially after the Holy Land was lost. In this realm, the Knights of Templar were eventually found to perform illegal satanic rituals against their beliefs.

Their initiating ceremony was quite controversial in the eyes of the common folk, and the King from France at the time asked the Pope to break the order apart. In my world, the same thing happens, but the story diverts from the last point.

The Pope tortured the Knights into giving false confessions of witchcraft and had most of the Order burned on stakes. The previous leader, Jacques De Molay, actually took back his confession and cursed the King and the Pope that witnessed his execution.

But in this world... I'll let Kabi do the talking. The man noticed that I was staring at Phantom's profile and scoffed before taking the paper away from my vision.

"I'm surprised that this person is still alive... It's been so long since I ever had to see this face again. The Knights of Templar, a band of misfits that claimed to be 'followers of God'. But they were nothing holy when it came to their undesirable ceremonies."

"Have you fought against Phantom? How would that be possible? I thought they were all executed or dead by now..." I asked.

"Yea... That's what they all thought. But you've read the profile over here... This person is still very much alive and well to be causing this much of a stir in town," answered Kabi, slapping the paper down onto the table and pointing at Phantom's crimes.

As I stared at the list, I realized that Phantom's crimes differed significantly from the rest of the followers. Because he uses both guns and Magecraft... Hmm, that rings a very familiar bell. Who do I know that wields a gun and uses Magecraft? Ah yes, Ashley Von Dalles.

The First Seat Marksman of the Barren Pillars. However, Phantom was a Mage who used a specific branch of the Darkness Element called Hell's Palace. His Original Spell is called the Seven Deadly Lords Of Hell, Carry Forward The Chaos.

I think I will have fun when I find this person to fight against. But back to the crimes he had inflicted upon the locals of Albion, I can safely say that this Mage is off the wagon. The Seven Lords are the equivalent of the Seven Deadly Sins. That meant Phantom could manipulate the Sins onto others.

And that's what he did, causing unrest and fights by randomly affecting the local's feelings. But I started seeing a pattern as I read on... He loves to use Asmodeus, the Lord of Lust, on women while the men get Santhanas, the Lord Of Wrath.
