Meeting The Final Boss

I think that's quite the obvious thing to point out, Vania! I nearly gagged when Vania had to announce it in my head. Perhaps that Black Knight was right about my stomach being weak against the truth... I was lucky I didn't need to eat, or else everything would have come out like a waterfall.

I thought the stones were ground-up bones mixed with clay while using human remains, but it was far worse... I never expected Fabian to be this insane! I clenched my fists in anger as I read all the materials used to make the house.

Because not only each brick had traces of human remains inside, but there were whole humans within the foundation! As I increased Vania's scan area by tenfold, I realized what those creepy pictures are meant to symbolize. And I hate it with every fiber in my body! Arg!

"That guy will pay for what he's done to these innocent kids!" I shouted as I turned away from the wall and headed down the hallway with newfound hatred of this guy.

As I heard laughter coming from a brightly lit room, I decided that I hated all doors and swung my blade across it. The door instantly exploded as I threw my sword at the only male in the room with a dining table full of food while a surprised Valkyrie widened her eyes at the flying blade.

She then blinked a few times before sighing and shaking her head.

"Well, it looks like I've taken my fill and information of what I can from this hell hole. Your food was delicious to me but tried not to offer to any sensible human," noted Mavislin as she stood up and walked over to me while holding a turkey leg...

At least, that's what I see but do not believe. Everyone had summoned their weapons beforehand and was ready to fight, but I was lying if I'd said I knew Mavislin wasn't going to fight. I had least expected her to be strangling the enemy first, not sitting in a chair waiting for us.

Instead, the man who I had been looking to factory reset his soul was being pinned to the wall with my blade piercing into his shoulder. Fabian was a middle-aged man with dark skin and black hair, having a slightly plump physique and wearing a nice dress suit and pants.

He looked deluded with eyes as big as saucers, and his speech was desperate when he spoke.

"Great work in the first stage... Now, I have overstayed my welcome and will be taking my leave. I will be handing the honors to Elizabeth and her team to fight you."

"Let's not meet again because you are one twisted being," said Mavislin, walking towards me without looking back to address the man of the house.

"Wait! You can't leave! You haven't had dessert yet! And you promised me that I would get to see it and die by your hands! Please... Don't go!" begged the Baron as he struggled to get my blade out of his shoulder.

Disgusting piece of sh-

"Did you seriously believe I was here to recruit you? Don't make me laugh when you're not a court jester," bellowed the Valkyrie as she stopped in her tracks.

"What?! We had a deal! You saved my life, and I made all these things for you! The cult... The Ducklings... I've made all those for you! And you promised! I wanted to make everything perfect for you so that I could earn your blade..." cried the Baron as he started weeping.

"Promises are meant to be broken. Unfortunately, I could not be bothered by your fantasies and merely nodded along so I could have my free dinner tonight. I know what these walls are made of and that the food I'd eaten wasn't turkey or seafood. But honestly..."

"Did you really think that I would kill you? That I cared enough to do such a ridiculous thing? You are not worth my blade nor any of my spells. And I don't wish to touch you because I want to go home with clean hands. Z is trying out cooking again, and I want to be home for that mess."

"I'm done here, so let my Pillars have some fun with you... And the fact that I was even here should be enough for you to reach nirvana," explained the Valkyrie as she yawned.

"Lizzie, do you still need the Time Mage? Because he's got some business with me, " whispered Mavislin.

I shook my head as Mavislin tapped on Raiyen's shoulder. The Time Mage bowed to me before tossing his device to Tomoe and walking out with his girl. One man is down, but the Black Knight has taken the empty place.
