Holy Lance, Have My Back

"Notice. Burning the children's remains is not enough to send their souls to the afterlife. Instead, they have been bound to the land they died on."

The blood has spilled onto the ground, and the land remembers... How cruel and saddening to hear about such a painful fate for children. Even though they may have been troubled children, they don't deserve such a heartbreaking end.

They already lost their lives, so there's no point taking their afterlives. With this newfound sadness and drive to defeat that man who calls himself a philanthropist, I agreed with the terms of the Skill, Devourance Of Souls, to activate and give strength to Sixth Order.

I never knew using the Corruption Element could be done against evil and fuel a weapon considered Sacred and Holy. But, when it comes to someone as twisted and cruel as Fabian Brookes, I guess even the King of the Underworld can lift a finger to such madness.

I closed my eyes and concentrated. Then, upon hearing Vania's words stating that the Devourance of Souls was active, I slowly opened my eyes to see bright dots of golden light emerging from the ground. This random event surprised Duncan, but he didn't seem to think much.

My blade had morphed into the Holy Lance, similar to the one that Fabian held now. The opponent was furious and shocked that I would have the same weapon as him.

"That's impossible! How could you wield that thing?! This is getting too annoying!" shouted Fabian as he tried to attack me with his weapon.

Luckily for me, Duncan was faster in his reflexes as he stopped Fabian's charge.

"Sorry, my ally needs time to chant her spell, so you should hang back and do the same. Or, you could surrender and kill yourself like how I made Astria Faust do so," threatened Duncan as sparks flew.

"So you were the one who killed her?!" yelled Fabian, pushing against Duncan.

"Hey! I didn't actually kill her! I only gave her to push to eradicate herself from the world..."

"That's the same! You'll pay for what you've done to my Crystal Duckling!"

"Oh, I highly doubt that I or my allies will... Because you have messed with the wrong group," declared Duncan as he took out his scythe and kicked Fabian away.

The Illusion Mage bashed through several collapsing walls as I continued to harvest the souls around the area. My head was getting cloudy as Elemental Energy infiltrated my mind. Vania did her best to help me by speeding up the process, but it could only help a bit.

"My enemy is not a Spirit of Nature. This is evident. My battle is one-on-one. This is evident. My battle will be for the truth. This is evident. My battle is to secure my survival. This is evident. My battle is free from personal gain. This is evident. My battle is against evil. This is evident."

Before unlocking the following command, I looked at Duncan to see if he would have my back. Duncan smiled as he nodded, throwing his scythe into the air and catching it with bravo. The boy then stabbed the scythe onto the ground, causing a large shockwave of power.

"I will protect Lady Lizzie as an honor of the First Seat Dementor Pillar of the Barren Pillars. Hear my warcry and rise from the Underworld, Servant of Death!" commanded Duncan as a green spectral of the Ankou appeared in front of the boy.

Now that I saw the actual appearance of the Ankou, I would be lying if I said I wasn't impressed with his figure. The Servant of Death looked quite handsome for some reason, but I quickly dashed those thoughts away... Shoo, shoo! I can look at him later!

For now, I need to concentrate! Vania, you enhancing my vision isn't going to help me!

"Notice. I was analyzing the illusion for future use... And reference. A Support Spell enhances Duncan's defense as a Mage by using the Ankou's power."

That's not needed now! But I couldn't waste more time as the enemy was getting ready to fire his version of the Holy Lance. But instead of unlocking the Thirteen Restraints, Fabian used the Lance differently.

"Twist and bend those desires to fit my will. These are the risks I take and will use against my foes. The burning hatred of those who have fallen... The sufferings of those who have served under the Invincible King! Let the Darkness of Vortigern taint this Holy Lance!" shouted Fabian.

The Illusion Mage then held up the weapon as the white Lance started to become blackened with the streams of Dark Elemental Energy engulfing it. Finally, the area began to tremble with three powers activating at the same time. I was wondering if the hill was going to collapse.
